I’m starting February 20 the certificate, and I can’t wait!! Nice video of the unboxing, and my question was answered on the comments with the 80% lower.
@kanaancross317 Yeah, I had to do the same it had to do with the fight they were having with 80% lowers and the ATF, I believe. I'm just getting ready to start the Handgjn Specialist program and have to go pick up my receivers from an FFL instead of getting 80%s
@@Kingsmit18 yeah after all the videos that I had seen about the capstone project I thought that I was going to get an 80% lower. So, I was rather surprised when I was told that a stripped lower was being sent to an FFL of my choosing.
@@MAJORCARNAGE257 I believe it's because of the whole ATF ordeal with 80% Arms. Have you picked up your lower yet? If so what brand is it and is it any good?

Hell yeah! It's a pretty fun learning process. I wish you the best in your classes and thank you for watching
i start Feb 20th as well!
I start February 20th as well! I’m going for the full degree.
@coltonriggan4072 awesome. I wish you the best. I intend on using my business to pay for me to go back for my Associates
@@Bigrig2020-c1d I did change over to the degree, see you online on the 20th 💪🏼.
I’m excited for when I get mine next month 😊
Unfortunately I don’t get an 80, I have to go and pick up mine from a gun store

@@MAJORCARNAGE257 you know they should do a 3d printing class on SDI for both drones and firearms.
@@kanaancross317 I did not know that
@@MAJORCARNAGE257 no I’m saying they should do it
@kanaancross317 apologize lol I read that wrong. Yeah, that'd be a cool class to take.
After build do we ship it back? Great look
No, it's yours to keep
@@MAJORCARNAGE257 looks great !
Thanks@@Trav1982
How long into the program is the AR build? I just started on Nov, 20th lol I'm super excited to get going on these projects XD
So it is the very last class you have to take
Is this a standard course in the gunsmithing certificate program or is this an elective?
It's an elective that you can choose
Hey man. I was just wondering if the lower came milled out already?
I checked the comments and it seems like they come stripped and milled. Sorry. I was curious because I'm almost in the same stages as you.
Yeah it's a stripped and milled lower from Aero Precision
@@MAJORCARNAGE257 Thanks dawg. Did you have any gassing issues?
No, but I will warn you that the armorers wrench provided is cheap and easily stripped when you try and get the appropriate torque on the barrel nut.
@@MAJORCARNAGE257 copy that
I'm signing up for the associate degree in firearms tech what did you sign up to do?
Are you taking FTE 217 or 210?
FTE 217 as they changed it to Modern Sporting Rifle, it includes AR-10, AR-15 and AR-9 platforms all wrapped into one class
@MAJORCARNAGE say less brother. Im doing the ar10 build in april. Wanted to make sure AP was still the brand.
Are they still using 80% lowers?
I don't think so I have to go pick up a stripped lower they sent to my FFL dealer
@@MAJORCARNAGE257 Ok thanks. Alot of the older reviews of the project are with 80% lowers.

@@Ghostly2jz I go to pick it up in a day or so and I'll be sure to let you know who makes it.
How does this work if you live in NY?
You will have to figure out what the restrictions are for your state and then talk to the school as far as I know.
