Andy Williams and Nat King Cole defined Christmas music at our house growing up. Both are so warm and inviting singers that just make the holiday perfect. I would recommend It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year by Andy Williams for a reaction.
Nat sings a duet with his daughter Natalie Cole. The song is " Unforgettable". In my opinion it's a touching masterpiece. Hopefully you can get the video version.
Sorry to tell y'all this. That IS Nat King Cole singing but this man in the video is Not Nat King Cole. Here is the one showing him singing on his show. ruclips.net/video/hwacxSnc4tI/видео.html
Hey Guys. Nat King Cole one of the best singer of all times. I start each year with this Christmas song. Thank y'all so much for the variety that y'all bring. Keep it up.
Nat King Cole has the most beautiful voice. Johnny Mathis is another one of those beautiful voices with great Christmas music. It’s not Christmas if I don’t listen to his record Merry Christmas.
So glad you reacted to this song... it is Timeless and Nat King Cole.... smooth!!!! Loved that both of you got big smiles on your face listening to this. Perfect reaction!!
I have adored Nat King Cole my whole life, this was a song played in our house at Christmas & even at other times of the year just to hear Nat’s silky smooth voice 💗💕😻🎶☮️
Written by Robert Wells and Mel Tormé for Nat in 1945 during the blistering hot summer. He first recorded the song with his Trio at "Capitol Records " June 1946 .Then again in 1953 with Nelson Riddle full orchestra this the definitive version. A CHRISTMAS GEM🎄🎶... And though it been said many times many ways, MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOOOOOUUU,🎶 MAY YOUR HOLIDAY BE. FILLED WITH LOVE OF FAMILY,GOD AND FRIENDS 🕊💜🖖🏾(the gent in video isn't Nat)
It's a great song and Nat's vocal is inimitable....but whoever that is in the video isn't Nat King Cole. It's someone lip synching to him with an approximation of the set Nat originally performed it in front of on his TV show in the 50's.
one of if not the best voices of all time.....His daughter Natalie did a posthumous duet with him on Unforgettable which is just beautiful, my favorite Nat song is Smile just a heartwarming beautiful song
An absolute Classic... there are so many amazing Christmas songs we older generation got to enjoy... Nat, Bing Crosby, Andy Williams, Elvis, and so many more... My fav Christmas Song is Bing and David Bowie singing Little Drummer Boy /Peace on Earth. David sings the latter, and speaks directly to the human soul! Christmas Blessings S & M, and to your family as well!❤❤❤
BRAVO...Mel Torme's Chritmas Classic‼️ He isn't called KING for nothing...my favourite male voice of the genre❗ Like other magnicient vocal legends like, Aretha Franklin & Louis Armstrong, many forget their instrumental greatness.
You should take a listen to Mel Torme, one of the writers of the song, sing it as well. They called him the Velvet Fog. Very beautiful as well and very moving.
My family especially my late mama would play this on the stereo console back in the day. In my house, the decorative real Christmas 🎄 tree with the red skirt around it, the presents 🎁, Christmas dinner and alot of Christmas desserts. Cooking everything a week prior to Christmas day. The dining room table fill up with everything. It isn't so much the commercialism for you as a family come together along with the Christmas music going on to add more vibes. Great reactions.
Buy the Nat king Cole Christmas album. Its been one that many folks in America have been listening to for 40 years now. Cmon guys. Get with the program.
This little diddy was written by Mel Torme on the hottest day in July as a joke.. Nat Cole came in that day and looked it over. He said he liked it and wanted to give it a whirl. The rest is history. ⛄ Merry Christmas.
Written by Robert Wells and Mel Torme’ The song was recorded in June 1946 a hot day with the King Cole Trio. Later that year it was recorded with a full orchestra. In 1953 with better equipment it was recorded again. In 1961 the song was recorded in stereo. Lost this great voice in 1965 to lung cancer.
He's not only got the coolest demeanor and voice...he's also got the coolest name. First there was Old King Cole, and then came Nat King Cole, and then inevitably, Nat King Kong...which is the name of a band that used to play in Charlotte. Might be funner as Gnat King Kong. Not sure. Reminds me of another band, with the clever name Rolling Beach Beetles. There's a great video of Nat singing with his beautiful daughter, Natalie, well worth the view and listen. Merry Christmas y'all!
LOVE YOU TWO, YOU ARE THE BEST. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE react to BARBRA STREISAND. ONE LESS BELL TO ANSWER/A HOUSE IS NOT A HOME. Truly one of the BEST female vocalist there has ever been, I PROMISE YOU WON"T BE DISAPPOINTED>
It is the perfect Christmas song with the perfect beautiful voice! For something in a different vein but also Christmasy the 40 year old “Christmas Wrapping” by The Waitresses. Great song and story. Give it a listen you’ll enjoy for sure
Um, OF COURSE you have to do "Feed the World" which was the first celebrity collaboration to raise money for the Ethiopians who were starving, stuck in the middle of a civil war, with no chance of a future. In London Bob Geldof decided he had to do something and he brought together the biggest English stars for one day to write and record this iconic song. It's a MUST. It's where we got the idea for our own collaboration "We are the World". If you have 't seen it I highly suggest it. It is still the number one best selling record in Great Britain all these years later.
Special Note: The man in the video is not Nat King Cole even though that is his voice. I have never seen him without a process which was a dead giveaway. They lead me to look for the person who did this video.
@Melrose-1 I saw it too...... not many of the persons commenting appears to notice it... why did they do that when they could easily have gotten the correct video... the things people will do to make some money... very poor reaction even... FAKE!!!..SMH
Check out “The Little Drummer Boy” by Lou Rawls’ “What Child Is This” by Vanessa Williams, “(Every Year) At Christmas Time” by Luther Vandross and “This Christmas” by Rula Brown.

Nat King Coal is one of the GOATS. Music royalty. I was about 6 years old in 1954 when he first became my favorite singer.
The lyrics to this great song are awesome, like " And every mother's child is going to spy to see if reindeer really know how to fly" 👍👍
One of the Christmas songs I was razed on it doesn't get any better than this.
LOVE LOVE LOVE his voice! One of my very favorite Christmas Songs. Mr. Cole is perfection here! ❤🎄💚

Thanks so much for the research. I remembered Mel Torme, 😄
My dad introduced Jazz to me by Nat King Cole. He had perfect pitch, and his daughter said he love to cook as much as sing.
It's a great song and Nat's vocal is inimitable....but whoever that is in the video isn't Nat King Cole. It's someone lip synching to him with an approximation of the set Nat originally performed it in front of on his TV show in the 50's.

Like other magnicient vocal legends like, Aretha Franklin & Louis Armstrong, many forget their instrumental greatness.
Tabacco has taken so many angels from us and Nat was another at the age of only 45.
Others have covered it, but his version is the definitive one everyone wants to hear at Christmas.
His Christmas album is one of my favorites.
You should take a listen to Mel Torme, one of the writers of the song, sing it as well. They called him the Velvet Fog. Very beautiful as well and very moving.

So smooth. He could invite a woman up to his room and she would swoon and fall into his arms.
He's not only got the coolest demeanor and voice...he's also got the coolest name.
First there was Old King Cole, and then came Nat King Cole, and then inevitably,

No one has ever done a cover of this song that comes close to Nat King Cole's. It is a part of the American psyche about Christmas.
Looks like the video was made in North Korea with an imposter.
