DUALITY (Prismatics 2022 ICCA Set)

DUALITY: An Exposition on Toxic Relationships.
In the spring of 2022, Prismatics competed in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA). We were blessed enough to share this story at the ICCA Finals in New York City, and we now want to share this important message with the world.
Relationships are a fundamental need of human-beings. While they can be exciting and joyful, they can just as easily be some of the most challenging situations we find ourselves in. Walking this line is not easy, but pushes us to learn our toughest lessons and ultimately grow as people. We wanted to capture the delicate nature of this struggle through our set, "Duality." We aim to highlight the different forms relationships can take, and how feelings of contentment, sorrow, longing, desperation, ambivalence and many other emotional dichotomies can co-occur in these unique experiences.
This story of realization is one that has impacted us in ways that we will carry with us forever, and we hope that it gives you the same inspiration that it has given us over the past year.
