my favourite moment in that last scene is the cutaway to the therapist sitting in the crowd... he's just chilling and waiting for his work with Wille to payoff 😌😂
I feel Wilhelm taking that stage was him finally embracing his destiny for lack of a better word. He never wanted this power but he knew he couldn’t let it fall into August’s hands and even more important, he realized that he could use to effect change, to make the world better. It was his first real King-like move and judging by it, he’s on the path to becoming a great one. Im so excited to see where season 3 will take him.
Well said, I'm sure the queen & the court will be surprised to see the Swedish youth, if not all Sweden, cheer the crown prince's speech. All of a sudden, Wille might prove the best thing to happen to monarchy. Can't wait to see that happen in the next season, or rather, seasons - give us 10 more 😉

Edvin is one of the best young actors around and deserves to be noticed in the international scene. His acting amazed me from the first episode in season 1...cant wait for season 3..great writing..another woman writer who is brilliant...

I can not even believe Alexander would go along with that plan of August’s. He felt he was used by Wilhelm but taking the fall for a crime that you did not commit does not make much sense. Time to stand up for yourself Alexander. Come on bud. 🤦♀️
its a non starter. his father is shown to be super rich/ powerful and even better loves his son and goes out of his way to help him. alexander is protected from august and himself
At least it ended with some hope for W & S. We need Season 3!! It's going to feel like forever.
The writer did such an excellent job at making complex and layered characters.
I laughed more than I should have at the "shoot her" comment. And I agree, Wille was never going to shoot August. I did get a bit scared of an accident though.
I love what you said about Wilhelm being an adult and not making excuses or blaming others for lying about Simon; I was thinking the same thing. He's being the bigger person, and if the royals react negatively, they'll be exposed for their role in the lie.
omar and edvin who played simon and william there scenes was so beautiful to watch and there connection and there chemisty and also there communication and there friendship are so strong and i love how simon told wille how he feels towards him it was so honest and when simon told him he love him u can see wille was happy and i love how wille change this speach and told everyone that it was him in the viedo with simon that was so honest it showing everyone how much he love simon and when he turn around to simon and gave him a smail he saying i love to and when simon did the same that meand there are back together now they have each other for support and there love passion and conction is so magic and so powerful that nothing going to keep them apart this going to be a new revolution for them

Personally, I don't hate Marcus because he was a new love interest for Simon or because he was being somewhat rude to him in the break up scene or anything. I hate Marcus because Simon tried to be up front with him about not wanting a relationship and Marcus was ignoring Simon's boundaries and was being hella manipulative by bringing up his dad (which, imo, the two of them didn't know each other well enough for that kind of thing yet) and kept pushing and pushing and pushing despite Simon saying he didn't want a relationship. Marcus was being toxic af.

Totally agree with this take, Marcus ignored Simon's needs/boundaries constantly. Massive red flags, I've dumped people outright for less.
I really enjoyed your reaction again, and I also appreciated the wrap-up/discussion you had at the end with your thoughts about the finale and the season as a whole. Surprisingly, a lot of others reacting to the finale didn’t summarize their thoughts as a whole or look forward to a possible S3, so I enjoyed listening to your thoughts. I also really enjoyed this finale and the season as a whole. The majority of my complaints connect back to me wanting more than 6 episodes per season and really wanting certain threads and storylines to be more developed. It’s such a strong ensemble cast with some really interesting threads, so I would really love to see them do more with it. Looking ahead, I’m really interested how Wille’s speech will affect his comfort in the role as Crown Prince as well as how he and Simon are able to hopefully be a united front facing the problems they still have. I definitely also want to see some better communication between them and hopefully a little time to be happy as teenagers in love - even for an episode or two? Lol. I can’t believe the video Netflix Nordic did of Wille smiling was only a little over a minute long. Actually, no - I can believe it. 😅 I’m curious about what the fallout from Sara’s call to the police will be. I agree that August prob will get out of things, but I’d like to see something actually happen to him rather than him being rewarded as Wille’s backup. Even though he showed some potential character growth this season, I still don’t think he fully grasped the significance of what he had done. As you said, he doesn’t really see Simon as someone worthy of consideration, and in that conversation with his stepfather he didn’t even consider Wille and Simon as victims in his crime. So yeah, I am skeptical that August can/will change…at least for now. I do want to see a redemption arc for Sara in a S3, though, and I’d like to see Felice have a more prominent storyline. Anyway, thanks again for reacting to the show. I enjoyed your takes.

I know Heartstopper had been filming in Paris (hopefully that's not a spoiler that the students take a trip to Paris). Fingers crossed that they can edit S2 quickly and get it out asap.
In the back story, Marcus comes from a well off family! They own the land around the school. The problem is not money or position, it is love! Simon did not fall in love with Marcus. No doubt, Marcus hoped for more but, got hurt! 😢 Glad S3 arrives soon.
yes there is going to be season 3 i just fund this on line iam not sure if it is or not At present, there isn't a confirmed release date for this new chapter, but we're potentially looking at a late 2023 and also i saw this as well debut and On April 13, 2023, Netflix announced on Twitter that the third and final season of Young Royals is now in production. if u want to know more have a look on line
I don't understand why Alexander would take the blame either. I think he's likely afraid of August, but still... Maybe August convinced him that it wouldn't come to anything too bad??
I think August was just bluffing there. The investigation already established that the video was posted from the school's computer and when it was posted (they took the computer), that's what made Sara realize that what she saw last season was August posting the video. Alexander was already suspended at that time and had left the boarding school a couple of days before, so he can't have been at the school's computer. (Wilhelm might not know that it was posted from the school's computer, but August definitely knows from Sara that the investigation already traced the video back to the school's computer)
Every time August talks to the royal court on the phone and is close to having his secrets revealed, he is half-naked or naked.
The BBC Channel 4 has released a comedy series a couple of months ago called Big Boys. I highly recommend it.

Heartbreak High is pretty good. Better than Love, Victor but not as good as Young Royals IMO.

I may have an unpopular opinion about Simon and his role in this season - which apparently goes against commenters who either lack life experience or are too starry eyed to admit he was a massive douche to Marcus.
Simon aggressively nestled up to Marcus. More than just passively. Obviously realizing he could use Marcus as bait in an effort to manipulate Wilhelm. Essentially a rancid rebound effort rooted in a game of jealousy. The fact that somebody in these comments referred to Marcus as toxic is laughable. Frankly, dumb. You want to know what’s toxic? Simon showing up at Marcus’s place intentionally and Simon making out and reaching for Marcus’s groin. Marcus is the one who shut that down. Further, Simon invited Marcus to that gala event to spite Wilhelm only to ultimately get what he wanted - Wilhelm. What a horrible and selfish thing to do to somebody.
Marcus had every right to dismantle Simon with his words. He called him out and Simon couldn’t defend his actions. That’s why he wandered off like a dying robot. The zinger here - Simon claiming he wanted nothing serious yet created the worst and gross melodrama. Marcus was his collateral damage.
What a silly take on things. There are many instances where two people , who are "together" go to a party and all has changed by the end. It can happen, and does without manipulation. In this case Simon is going through a lot. We know the history. We know the fact he and Wilhelm are a "Thing". So exploring other relationships and then deciding on the first one is not "toxic". It is normal. I take the neutral ground. Both Simon and Marcus knew what they were getting into. Also, we as viewers knew what most likely was in store for all these characters. So however Simon and Marcus broke up......... It was inevitable.
I know she has “issues”. But I don’t like Sarah. ... Also I’m also still willing to bet that The Queen hired Marcus to befriend Simon.
I don't like her either because people can have Asperger's (please correct me if I got the wrong therm) and etc and still make better decisions than the ones she made
