The last method is a perfectly safe method for charging any battery.May it be Lithium or Nickel Cadmium
How much voltage have to set as charging voltage for charge a 12volt 18650 battery pack?
@@mohammadmoinuddin582 for 3s lipo packs its 12.8v (3x4.2v) 4.2v is the maximum a 18650 can take. but u need! a balancing function. 4.0v+4.1v+4.4v=12.8v so you would destroy 1series of the battery pack. google "3s" "4s" and "bms". it will answer a few questions i think.

I connect positive to positive & negative to negative. After a couple hours it's charged. Maybe I've been lucky but I do this all the time. I will feel for heat 1/2 way but haven't encountered a problem.
I think you must be needed to use bms for lithium or lion type batterys

A cc cv dc converter is much better, if you do not have a dedicated charger, it is best to charge to between 3.7 and 3.9v when using non current regulated converters or power supplies, and supervise the remaining charge, to prevent damage or fire, also for longer battery life! lithium is awesome but can be dangerous! I have a e-bike battery it’s lithium ion it has 36 cells in it they’re packed in groups of six I believe one of the groups of six got disconnected, the weld connection broke so that group of six is lower voltage than the rest now the entire thing won't charge can I simply just re-weld it to the rest of them and charge it back up to normal or do I have to take them out separately to charge them up fully to match and then reconnect them??

You did not understand the operation and charging method of a lithium battery. You should not charge over 4.2 volts and should maintain a maximum current depending on the lithium cell. All shown charging methods are not suitable for charging a lithium cell. Method 1 is a (very dangerous) short circuit of the cell. Method 2 has no voltage limit and the charging current is dependent on the bulb. Method 3 is also a waste of energy (12V -> 19V -> 4.2V). Why you don´t use a TP4056 module? This has at least a charge control and charging switch-off. Or at least a DC-DC converter with adjustable current limit? This is not recommended for imitation.

Charging requires CC and CV with a limit of 4.20 V and 1A. (Dependent on the battery) connecting to a 12V battery can overcharge and there is no regulated current limit which could cause the batteries to umm well... Boom. Or Fire.

I like the video, the reason charging cells like that without a BMS is dangerous, is because the cells can become over-voltage and explode. The batteries will attempt to pull as much amperage as their internal resistance allows, which is generally more than 10 amps for each cell. This is why large battery packs heat up when charging. Resistors for each cell must be used.

@@chamunu123 That depends. Charging a 3s means 3 cells in series. The problem is one or more cells may become over or under-voltage. It could be catastrophic or just crappy, it depends on the use of a BMS. No BMS = explosion, BMS = crappy. If you don't want crappy, each cell must be charged individually using 4.15 vdc. It appears the voltage range for an 18650 is 2.8v to 4.0v.
@@Mystic-H That is an old comment. Each cell does not pull 10 amps, generally it is 0.7 amps for normal cells 18650, and 2 amps for samsung 30Q. I don't know about jump starting your battery. You could try applying charging voltage to the output. I use relays to build a custom battery that I can disconnect the series connection with. If you charge each cell one at a time, you can just attach leads without disconnecting the series connection. The problem arises when multiple cells in series are charged, as it shorts the charger, assuming you have a single voltage source.
Always use BMS before messing with these cells

I have a three pack of 3.7 set up in a parallel circuit which produces over 9v of electricity. How do I charge that?
Lithium batteries have their own chargers. They also have circumscribed shipping circuits. They do not make yourself a lot of. I have been the most important of the light of the lithium when the voltage battery is increased by exploding and your way this is not an electronic circuit that prevents the lithium battery from the stop for the shipping over the arrival of the voltage 4.2 v
Proper way to charge Li-ion cells is CC-CV (conctant current - constant voltage) method so you should use DC - DC converter with a current limitation or that one with li-ion cell charger (like for example tp4056). I think that you good idea is adding somewhere in video the inscription (You do everything at your own risk).

@@chamunu123 Idk. I can't find this module. If it support cc-cv method and you can adjust current to cell ratings, then it should be safe. Moreover at high current it's good to monitor cell's temperaturę.

Just set output voltage a bit under 2.7 v, capacitors needn't constant current. But for safety I recommend to add low value resistor or bulb. Because curent in t=0 ( moment of conection) tends to infinity (teoteticaly but in real is limited by resistance of wires).

easy ways? more like hard ways. Just get CC/CV converters and leave it charging. Or there's cheap lithium charger that works just fine. If got more budget, then get a fancy smart charger for "fast charging" and battery capacity reading.

with out using BMS MODULE the 3.7v battery will die after a few minutes.
Batteries differ a lot. What you do is only good for emergency situations, if you charge a wrong battery type this way, you either shorten the battery life or may even make it explode. be careful.

All wrong. Li-ion batteries are charged with constant current. These methods are constant voltage. Wrong. Constant voltage is the method for charging NiCad batteries. That is why they have different chargers depending on the battery chemistry. Temperature also needs to be monitored so they don't explode. Buy a charger. Good music though.

Well first one will blows caps of lithium ion battery...second one is used for slow charging of car batteries by adding 12volt bulb in serries but is only for lead acid battery when connected to 12v battery charger ...the third on is also not appropriate as number of cells of 3.7 volts connected..sum up with the right ampage...as three cells each 2200 mah will be 6600mah or 6.6 amp..specific charger which can handle more than 6.6 amps is needed ...other than all three are inapporiate..☠☠☠☠
