It must have been horrible for Laurie to find out from Hawkins that Michael had never been after her and just broke out to kill again in general. It probably made her realise she'd wasted most of her life when she could have spent time with Karen and Allyson, gotten help and moved on.
@@jaycemcqueen306 After her, Karen and Allyson tried to kill him in the fire in 2018 he probably developed a grudge which is why he draws out killing Cameron in Kills to torment Allyson and kills Karen for tricking him twice.
I feel bad that we got to meet Karen so late. Imagine if we got to know her. It would have been nice to see an ongoing storyline of Laurie trying to move on with her daughter and pursue normal life which is periodically interrupted by Michael. Would have been nice to see that story line develop.
Karen is one of the best characters of this new timeline. I don’t know why she gets so much shit. Her playing possum at the end of Halloween 2018 is still one of my favorite parts of the movie!
She was such a relatable character. Any person would resent a mother that makes her grow up full of fear--myself included. And, of course, Judy Greer can do no wrong.
I figured she would once she risked her life by stealing Michael’s mask in the second film. Granted, she only did it because she caught Michael trying to murder her innocent teenage daughter in cold blood. I’d do the same thing to save the life of my child, if I had one. Although I did find her mildly annoying in the first film, the more I learned of how she was raised by a mother with poorly treated PTSD, got separated from her mother by the state, due to Lori’s issues after dealing with Michael, the more I understood her strained relationship with her mother and felt for Karen. Although she wanted to keep her daughter, her husband, and herself at more of a distance from her mother as an adult, I also never got the sense that she hated her mother’s guts and wanted absolutely nothing to do with her either. She didn’t invite her mother to dinner with the rest of her family, and lied to Alyson about it when her daughter asked. However, after we see how Lori acts when she shows up to that dinner uninvited and gets all drunk and paranoid in front of them, it makes more sense as to why Karen was avoiding her. What’s more, Alyson clearly shares a close bond with her grandma Lori, so I don’t think Karen was distancing her family and herself from her mother THAT much or for THAT long. She just wanted some space. Karen also went out pretty strong and had some great character development in both the first and second films she appeared in. Danielle Harris did a great job playing the role of Jamie, but the character ended up being more of a plot device of the writers to try to expand upon the depths and origins of Michael Myers evil in a bizarre fashion that none of us needed to see. Moreover, she Jamie didn’t even get a good send off arc before they had Michael kill her off in curse. She just got a deleted scene dedicated to her in the director’s cut of 5 minutes.

I think some part of Laurie does support Karren and Alison trying to have a normal life because she agreed to go through with that interview for the money to give to her granddaughter to continue on her dream.
And she seemed proud when she brought Corey to the hospital when she saw Alison working as a nurse in Halloween Ends. Of course you can't blame her, Alison was able to do what Lori couldn't fully do after the first Halloween movie in the 40 year time line and take her drama and make something good out of it by helping others instead of being on constant guard. And in the end Alison was still able to help her grandmother put an end to Michael Myers.
It’s sad, she tried to get a normal life but could never have it because she was born into a horror movie world. She believed the world was not a dark place and was met with the darkness in the flesh. She was incredibly brave throughout, love her character in the movies!
16:12 In a way even though Karen tries to stop the mob killing Tivoli her thinking Michael was coming to the hospital to kill Laurie is what leads to Tivoli killing himself because some hospital patients and staff probably heard her say "He's coming here" so when Tivoli turned up at the hospital asking for help everybody panicked and assumed Michael had come to kill his way to Laurie. My good sir because of your video series on Halloween I have come up with a new theory. All movies are Canon just have to be viewed in a certain context for them to fit.
I can’t help but feel Alison was suppose to take Lori’s place in in the myers-strode face off of. Halloween Kills and Karen was suppose to take Loomis place as the one that comes to help Alison in the end, but they screwed up the whole thing with having a mob justice to get involved just to make things worse. If anything the mob justice just ended up repeating the mistakes of Halloween resurrection in stead of being supporting her like in Return of Michael Myers where at least the mob put Michael down for several months. I can understand giving Michael extra kills but the whole mob thing was just chaos waiting to be unleash and it did, twice-three times if you divide the mob attacking Michael and Michael slaughtering them as two separate points. First one of the unleash chaos was on an innocent man
4:40 There was a theory that Hawkins was Karen's dad. Even though Hawkins says that they only held hands and kissed in a bar at some point after Michael's 1978 murders they could have gotten closer sometime in the 40 years, had sex and conceived Karen.
So that would mean that jimmy from Halloween 2 could possibly be the father of both Jamie or Karen even though it's different alternated timelines so you can basically say Jamie and Karen is the same person that shared the same fate it was destine for them to be killed by the hands of Michael Myers
It must have been horrible for Laurie to find out from Hawkins that Michael had never been after her and just broke out to kill again in general. It probably made her realise she'd wasted most of her life when she could have spent time with Karen and Allyson, gotten help and moved on.

well at the same time, she thought michael was human and he was definitely dead. hell, so did laurie until literally a few seconds before karen died.
@@luvsoojins1816 RIP TO THE BEST CHARACTER IN HALLOWEEN KILLS. RIGHT he went thru the back door and surprised her ., ,...AFTER Killin the stupid mob that had sticks stones and an Iron and people with guns thar didn't know how to shoot lead by dumb ass Tommy .. The Haddonfield Police sucks even if she thought he was dead. It was a crime scene like CSI AND FORENSICS AND DETECTIVES FBI ARMY HELL the Averagers should be in there scopin out shit but yuh this is. Horror movie so smh. I STILL FEEL SOME TYPE OF WAY .. when she passed at first I thought it was a dream sequence but in the extended version it was clear she was killed 😔
@@paulharris2682 she’s not the best character wtf 😂
@@GodSlayerMael I said what I said so deal with it lil girl
@@paulharris2682 shiver me timber’s PAUL 😂
Cz World i’m a huge fan and I love all your videos
We need a horror history on marian chambers or Henry creel.
Do the history of Art The Clown 🤡 now that Terrifier 2 is making a great impact in the Theaters. He is now a true horror icon
Karen kept badgering hospital staff and police just doing their job in Kills. I didn’t really care when Michael off’ed her at the end.
Thank you so much ❤
Can you do a horror history on Strahm from Saw?
If karen listen she might have lived lol
4:36 fun fact when you get married you can choose to keep your name and your child will get whatever last name you and your husband agree on, so easily if she didn’t want to give up her last name the child could be either ex husbands.
Could you make a video about Corey, please? I love him.
Laurie is an absolute unit, imagine her with a super soldier serum🤔.
Professor, any chance of a horror history on the Tall Man from Phantasm?
Lmao @ "riding bikes"
... Yeah..
Can You Do A Timeline Or Review On Prom Night (1981)
8:40 - CZsWorld & CinemaTherapy episode analyzing and talking about Halloween \o/ MAKE IT SO! I WANNA SEE THIS!
Wouldn’t say no to a Horror History on Hannibal Lector. Or an analysis on John Carpenters The Thing.
My good sir because of your video series on Halloween I have come up with a new theory. All movies are Canon just have to be viewed in a certain context for them to fit.
9:17 It's mentioned in 2018's novelisation too.
You know who I miss? Malfeitor. He's worth a video, maybe in a lesser-know-but-scary-as-F series.
Love these videos
First one of the unleash chaos was on an innocent man
Love you man keep it up ❤
Dumps my Andy Capp's hot fries on CZ😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣!!! You just posted the other day
Yo, wassup CZ?
Getting ready for MCR tonight and Halloween Kills tomorrow.
I don’t care what anyone says, I loved her character and wish she would’ve gotten a better ending. She was so much smarter and useful than Allyson.
I know right basically the main characters were sideline in ends
Ahhhhh yes ‘a guy in William shattner mask’ and ‘a guy in a trench coat’
4:40 There was a theory that Hawkins was Karen's dad. Even though Hawkins says that they only held hands and kissed in a bar at some point after Michael's 1978 murders they could have gotten closer sometime in the 40 years, had sex and conceived Karen.
So that would mean that jimmy from Halloween 2 could possibly be the father of both Jamie or Karen even though it's different alternated timelines so you can basically say Jamie and Karen is the same person that shared the same fate it was destine for them to be killed by the hands of Michael Myers
jeeeeeeeeeeeeez,
you're pushing these out faster than..
you know what i'm not gonna make that joke.
always great to see some horror history though ❤🔥
