Nice work Charlie the weather did it’s best to wreck the show, I did go Sunday and got soaked to the skin twice! Did manage to capture some of the action but still drying out👍👏

Great video nice to re-live Saturday’s show, shame the noise and thunder from the engines doesn’t come out the same. Easy to pick myself out just by the wonky tannoy post 😂

Why the reds only display with 7? Bit Embarrassing at RIAT
Apparently one fell Ill, and the other two…
Also after watching the Belgian F16 and the Rafale display our RAF typhoon routine just isn’t aggressive enough… why they put an external tank on it when it’s operating out of Fairford? I want to see a clean max performance display.

Sunday was disappointing, the time between each aircraft display was much too long, 15-20mins mostly, Grippen flew 3 times by 15:00 and Typhoon twice as there didn’t seem to be much else. By 16:00 there hadn’t t been an F16 or F18, plenty rotary which were not so exciting. Having been to many many shows around he world, they were missing something a bit unique. Gone are the days of multiple takeoffs of fast jets, like Phantoms or Tornados with 8 aircraft doing role demonstration by attacking the airfield and other aircraft on CAP defending. Euro fighters in pairs in Austria are amazing. The old Leuchars days were crazy, Tornados none stop at 100ft 600kts up and down the runway with fake explosions on the ground. But safety now takes over, must be 500m back from the crowd line etc etc. The best days are gone and now it’s a handful of agile jets doing pretty much identical routines…mostly filled with twinkle rolls on every turn.
That’s a shame, the Saturday show was quite the opposite! As soon as one jet landed the other one was awaiting takeoff clearance, the only exception being when the torrential rain hit for 30 mins!

Why didn't the f35 hover with the harrier? Wonder if it's because its a piece of shite!
They hovered at the same time but far away from each other, which was a bit of a let down 😕
Tbh the f35 didn’t hover no way as good as the fantastic harrier it was fantastic the f35 maybe the future but it’s not as fun to watch
That seems to be the same with all new stuff very quiet compared f16 and f18 was amazing
I saw the F35 at Farnborough in 2016, and was thoroughly underwhelmed by it. I don't pretend to know all the ins and outs of these planes, but it seemed that all its air show tricks had already been done by the mighty Harrier. A plane which is also far more aesthetically pleasing. I still get goosebumps when I watch a Harrier perform. You just can't beat them for entertainment purposes.
