      I’m glad someone has spoken up and said that. People try to say they have a mental health problem and use it as an excuse when half the time they don’t have any mental health issues and try to use it to get out of trouble. I’ve seen comment sections where the commenters might see a drunk woman and automatically say she’s an alcoholic and must have mental health problems, drives me bonkers.

      It's that bipolar is widely different from person to person, yours might not be as extreme as others but there are some that cannot help what they do or feel during a bad bipolar episode. I doubt in her case that's what's going on with her however but I have met people who absolutely loose what makes them, them during an episode and completely do a 180 in thought and personality.

    Every time I see this story I think about the sheer astronomical odds that a newborn infant not only survived for hours in a dumpster, but was also found by three people just looking for appliances in a dumpster. The footage of the father was also amazing to see, hearing him say, "What do I need to do, where do I need to go, what do I need to say?" with that urgency made me want to cry. He instantly stepped up and called his upset father back without a care in the world about if he was in 'trouble' or not, he was only thinking about his child. Damn. That must be a lot to live with. I was given up for adoption as an infant & even though it was done the right way, just growing up thinking my parents didn’t care enough about me to keep me had an impact on me. I’ve since learned that wasn’t the case at all & most parents who give up their children actually do it BECAUSE they care & know that they can’t give us the life we deserve, and they hope we will have a good life with loving families. I hope you’ve discovered that too. I can’t imagine the circumstances that would make a parent leave a baby on a train, but I suspect & hope that it was something far less callous than the way this woman behaved. I’ve met my father (unfortunately my mum died at 24 from a heart/lung disease) & learned that the decision haunted him his whole life too. I don’t know if you’ve ever found your birth parents, but hope that if you do, you get some closure & reassurance that you were actually loved by them. Also to be totally fair, some women just don't have normal pregnancy symptoms. I saw someone post online some photos from like the day before she gave birth to a surprise baby and she did not look pregnant at all, at most she might've looked 4 months but she was full term.

      This is 13 minutes out of an investigation and you want to assume based on this short video that you know what they said in the parts that you are not seeing? Basically this is hours of video that have been edited.
      The medical staff do not wear body cameras.
      They call it a frame for a reason. You can’t even see what is happening just out of frame. You don’t see what’s happening when the camera isn’t on and you can’t see what is edited out.
      I am not defending anyone but to say they never asked or cared is a ridiculous claim after a 13 minute edit.

She and her attorney are trying to play into the stigma that people with bipolar are viscous and do sick things like this. As someone with bipolar, we do these things while severely ill and it’s not okay, but it’s a mental disability that can be treated. Untreated bipolar disorder can lead to this but to Use bipolar to get away with it is disgusting.

    This is why it’s so important to make sure our children are not afraid to come to us, their parents, for ANYTHING. When we threaten to “whoop their ass” if they get in trouble or over-punish them for every little thing they do “wrong”, we risk them being scared to come to us when they truly need us most. And before someone says “I’m their parent, not their friend,” we can teach them responsibility, accountability, self discipline, and all the other things without making them afraid of us. My son comes to me with everything, especially if he thinks he messed up or is in big trouble. (Thankfully that’s only happened once and it was resolved quickly and easily.) It is possible though. Ask yourself if your child honestly respects you or are they just afraid of you?

There are so many alternatives that would be so much better for the child than just throwing it away like its garbage. I don't want kids myself, some may say that's selfish or w/e but in reality it'd be more selfish to bring a kid that i don't want into the world. I'm glad the kid is doing well and in better hands.

  • @Legacy-sw7bv
    @Legacy-sw7bv 8 месяцев назад +2

    What a horrible, heartless girl. 18 is entirely old enough to know better. There are _always_ other solutions. At the very, VERY least, she could've put on a mask and made sure she left the baby somewhere where it'd be cared for. There was a case where a woman hiding her face waited at a fire station until she saw someone, then pushed her baby into his arms before running/driving off. It's understandable if a woman can't care for her baby. It's abhorrent to condemn that child to a miserable death instead of leaving them to someone who can get them to the proper authorities for care. Bipolar disorder is not an excuse for leaving an infant to die, and I don't but that "I truly love him" BS for a moment. If she actually loved him, or even just saw him as the human he is, she would've made sure he was in a safe place. She's just trying to generate pity for herself to get lighter consequences.
