Nicolas Millan, Fredy Guarin, Igor Akinfeev, Evandro Roncato, Kara, Sherman Cardenas, Diego Buonanote, Helder Barbosa, Mohamed Zidan, Bruno Gama, Fabio Paim.. Man the nostalgia is insane! But the greatest wonderkid of all time, Mr Tó Madeira, who wasnt even a real player lmao
CM01/02 was when I really became hooked. Javier Saviola was great in my Man Utd save. Best player I signed though was Igor Lichnovsky. A Chilean CB. Signed him at 18, he went on to be captain, club legend, retired at 40.
Stefan Selakovic Kim Kallstrom Djibril Cisse Tonton Zola Moukoko And my personal fav, Michael Dunwell from Bishop Aukland. Would score loads even for man u or real madrid and only cost 18k
My first manager game was CM2007, Fran Merida, Fabregas, Jordi Jorda, Andrei Ionescu, Nuri Sahin, Igor Akinfeev, Bojan, Diego, Vela. Loved the midfielders then
Bojan was a joy at Stoke. Absolutely glorious to watch. That year so with him, Shaqiri, Afellay and Arnautovic was beautiful before the bottom fell out. Part of the reason he never went on was his mental health issues. He’s suffered with anxiety and or depression, and had a lot of issues with Pep when he was at Barca. His style of management didn’t work with Bojan. Pretty sure he turned down a call up either a European Championship or World Cup, his anxiety was that bad.
Just commented the same. Him, Tonton Zola Mokoku, Sharbel Touma... Still remember my fav all time midfield. Think Mads is a scout for Liverpool now. He is in my current save anyway. Fairly sure it's the same guy.
Supat Rungratsmee and Alessio Cerci on Champ Man 03/04 were my two favourite wonderkids. They would bang in the goals in that game. Sherman Cardenes from Football Manager 2007, another legend.
Whoever remembers Mark Collis of cambridge united from championship manager 93/94...wasn't a real player but named after a game developer who supported cambridge and put themselves in the game. If you do remember him then you know how many years I've played :)
Evandro Roncatto is my all time favourite wonderkid. Didnt matter if you played a Real Madrid save or a Derby save. He scored so many goals for me. Probably over a thousand😅
CM 03-04 Daniel Braathen and Evandro Roncato. You could buy them for almost nothing and they were scoring 3-4 goals per game if you played the right scheme for them.
I know you could only mention one from the games but had to bring on this lad. CM03/04 or somewhere in there, Orri Freyr Oskarsson was a rocket down the flank or up top. Pace is king and so was my boy for a couple of versions of the game. Rinsed defenders and was available for next to nothing and would sign for a load of teams due to his lower rep.
Maaaann, i remember diego buonanotte on FM 10, back in my uni days. Fantastic winger, one time he took the ball all the way up from the back dribbled past 5 players including Ramos, and curled one on top right. Magnificent, what a memory.
I remember playing, I think the 94/95 version of the game with my brother. We had a save where I was playing with Lazio and Signori was my top scorer. He was playing with Roma and Balbo was his top scorer. We’d be so into the game we’d play til we heard the newspaper in the mailbox. Then we had to hurry to bed before our parents woke up and realised we had been playing CM all night.
My first full CM/FM was CM03/04. Fabio Paim from Porto B, Daniel Braaten from, i think, Rosenberg and my personal favourite Orri Freyr Osakarsson. Actual cheat code with 18-20 pace/acceleration. Less than 10k from Iceland. Signed him in basically ever save i started that year 😂
I started on CM93 but really got hooked in CM01/02 … when it comes to FM Wonderkids though, honestly, I could go on for days! Particularly the likes of Cherno Samba, Maxim Tsigalko & Tonton Zola Moukoko
Vaclav Kadlec was a banger on one game but cannot remember which one. I remember one Football Manager where you could pick up Neymar from Santos for about £12m
The GOATs that I can remember, some in the video, some not... Bakayoko, Saviola, Riquelme, Kallstrom, Zlatan, Akinfeev, Siggie (Icelandic dude), Vela and Adu! Not a wonderkid but Ever Moas and Martin Palermo for peanuts were always signed in every save in whatever years they were great (I feel like it was the same!).
Late 90's early 00's CM had some gems i kept buying every save. Javier Saviola and Hidetoshi Nakata behind him as offensive midfielder. Greece triple bargain; Superstar Papadopoulos, finisher Skalidis and Andrielos for defense broke every game. Andrei Sigporsson from iceland, a R9 level striker. Scottish midfileder Mark Kerr from falkirk i believe never let you down. Later 20's FM games of course Arezo FTW.
Jonatan Johansson and Gennaro Gattuso in Champ Man 97/98...I'd constantly try to poach them from Rangers as any club in England. Real solid buys and usually turned into team and national regulars for YEARS
Can't remember the version but you could build a champions league team around Belarusians in one version. Artem Milevsky, Roman Vasilyuk and... Someone I can't remember. Also in one version a kid called Isaiah Eliakwu was an absolute beast. But his potential was a random attribute so didn't happen for a lot of people (in the save I had where he scored 40-50 goals in 5 consecutive seasons it was 197)
I think the guy I signed was on fm08 he was a Sierra Leone left winger called Julius Wobay had good stats, and you could always sign him for £1m. Probably not the wonder kid from the gama but a great youngster to sign to the right situation. Also a South African winger called Lebohang Mokoena was also a good youngster to sign for a similar price
The G.O.A.T was a striker named Derek Boateg. CM00/01 and 01/02 I believe. Played in Greece for kalamata. Mark Kerr from Falkirk was also an absolute machine.
Very underrated - Fabio Castellano from Atalanta in FM 2015. He starts as a 16y old, and I think there is no player in FM history who can develop as much as he.
On 00/01 I always used to buy iddi alkhag. Man was a goal machine 01/02 - mark kerr, what a man he was But in fm05, i think daniel bierofka was my favorite player. May have been older than wonderkid status but what a beast on the wing
FM 11 was my favourite and the one I played the most. I was expecting you to say Lukaku, as he was the guy everyone was talking about, but I always went for Yaya Sanogo myself as he was much cheaper. I am surprised Neymar was never mentioned, he was a popular signing in several FM games.
i remember Keirrison on Fifa09 on the PSP. was a 93 rated striker for my Fiorentina squad. i also remember Zakaria Bakkali, Yacine Benzia, Youri Tielemans, Balanta, Dede a brazilian CB was sick, i loved Jetro Willems, Lucas Ocampos
Did I miss it? Where was Tonton Zola Moukokou? Him, Kennedy B, Sharbel Touma, Mads Jorgensen, Zlatan Muslimovic. Won so many European Cups for me as a teenager.
CM 01/02 Mark Kerr and Mike Duff was my go to bargain wonderkids. Then we had the super greek patch in cm 01/02 with Skalidis, Tobros, Alexandros Papadopoulos, Giannis Kalogeras etc.
in fm2006 i signed a kid known as Helder Barbosa from Porto B for 9k for Leicester, took a year for him to become my first choice winger. you can get him in fm2024 as a coach but he ain't as good. he will forever be my favourite player in an fm game
As a Torino fan and FM addicted, I had no idea Alexander Farnerud was considered a wonderkid back in the dayyy😮. Nothing against him, but aside of a decent long shot, he was not really good for serie A standards...
First CM/FM was cm 1999, I just remember making silly formations which was cool to my 9yr old self. The game was a hand me down from my uncle, who still asks about my save each year on the current games CM 03/04 Evandro Rocatto. The memories. The championship wins. The ADDICTION. Started right here for me.
The Best striker in any CM/FM is Alexandros Papadopoulos from the legendary CM 01/02. He played for Asteras in the greek 2. Division. He was 16 at the start of the game and you could buy him for about £ 1 million. He was able to score about 60-80 goals a season. Absolute monster of a player. Had saves where he would score over a 1000 goals before he would retire
You’ve had an unlucky role on the Tsigalko save. Sometimes he loaded with good heading as well. Tommy Pekhart was really good one year too, just never got any good because he was at Spurs and never got games. If you persevered he was World Class.
I'm a bit miffed that you haven't referenced Champ Manager 4 legend, Serge Mafoko. You can get him for pennies from Milton Keynes Dons (I forget how much but it would have been next to nothing for a top-flight side). From what I recall, I think he's 16, has 20 pace, insane dribbling (in the 18-20 area), insane acceleration (again, 18-20) and could finish. I think he was a fullback but could be trained for either wing or up front.
Love the content! Would be allot of work, but it would be a cool experiment if you put over the stats from the older wonderkids into a fm24 player and let them all compete against eachother to see who the wonderkid above all wonderkids is. All starting from the team they would be in their respective fm. And i gotta ask, where is that Ajax shirt from? I don't recognize it but it looks amazing! Cheers mate
CM 03/04 my Celtic team signed Todorov and a player from Southend called Jimmy Corbett plus John Welsh from Liverpool if I remember. FM14 for my Celtic team signed a Winger called Keko...absoulte beast on that game something like 612 games 116 assist an 111 goals.
FM 12 My favorite game Yaya Sanogo, i played with Partizan from Serbia and after 2 years i sign him for free idk how, he changed my team 2015-16 and 2016-17 season i won CL and he single-handedly won me that titles, I remember the match against Barcelona in the semi-finals where he scored 7 goals in 2 matches😂
Carlos Fierro was the first FM wonderkid I can remember fully using. I think Ethan Nwaneri will be a mega wonderkid next year, but will be hard to prize him away from Arsenal 😅
One weird one that I remember in 01/02 was John Welsh at Liverpool. Always turned out to be an England stalwart in centre mid. In I think 2003/04 I have vague recollection of there being a 13 year old Dutch kid you could sign for free. Can’t for the life of me remember his name. He was pretty average if I remember rightly.
Sorry, on CM0001, it was not Kennedy, but Mark Tobin, 14 year old irish kid that became the best midfielder, DMC that removed the man you wanted gone from any game
Thanks for watching legends!

Who’s your favourite ever FM Wonderkid?
Nicolas Millan, Fredy Guarin, Igor Akinfeev, Evandro Roncato, Kara, Sherman Cardenas, Diego Buonanote, Helder Barbosa, Mohamed Zidan, Bruno Gama, Fabio Paim.. Man the nostalgia is insane! But the greatest wonderkid of all time, Mr Tó Madeira, who wasnt even a real player lmao
I was 100% expecting Tielemans for FM 2015, what a beast
He was serious!
He was player with the highest potential in that game.
Henri Saivet on FM 08 was Amazing!
He was! He features in that failed Wonderkids vid I mentioned!
CM01/02 was when I really became hooked. Javier Saviola was great in my Man Utd save. Best player I signed though was Igor Lichnovsky. A Chilean CB. Signed him at 18, he went on to be captain, club legend, retired at 40.
Stefan Selakovic
Kim Kallstrom
Djibril Cisse
Tonton Zola Moukoko
And my personal fav, Michael Dunwell from Bishop Aukland. Would score loads even for man u or real madrid and only cost 18k
Lorenzo Lucca on fm22 is a good shout he was absurdly good
my favorite wonderkid from FM 2005 is still Fredy Guarín, what a beast midfielder that was in that version
Maksim Tsigalko, what an absolute legend! My favourite player of all time. Great video idea, Clayts. You brought so many memories.
RIP :(
@Gainmaker May he rest in peace. So many good memories with a person I didn't even knew in person. Brought me so much joy.
My first manager game was CM2007, Fran Merida, Fabregas, Jordi Jorda, Andrei Ionescu, Nuri Sahin, Igor Akinfeev, Bojan, Diego, Vela. Loved the midfielders then
Vanden borre was such a beast and versatile back in the FM day
Loved this trip down memory lane👏👏👏Mark Kerr would be one of my all time favs from the early versions of CM.
Yeah I struggled with where to place him as a ‘wonderkid’ because he was so good when he was a bit older
I remember signing both Pablo Aimar and the Icelandic striking legend Andri Sigporsson in my CM3 save. What a combo! Good times.
Anatoli Todorov or Tuncay Sanli were my GOAT wonderkids on CM 03/04
yes yes yes Anatoli the unknown legend striker 40 goals a season
Fernando Cavenaghi, Lionel Morgan from Wimbledon 😎 also colombian cb de la Cuesta
Sherman Cardenas, Supat Rungratsamee & Fernando Gago are all timers for me
Sherman cardenas on fm2007 was ridiculous
@@nicksimpson4058 him and Nicholas Milan.... you couldn't lose.
Supat is mediocre. Good only for non league saves if mods about it present Back there.
@@PAINNN666i didnt mean they were the best players. Just had the most charm

Signed him every time 👍👍
Also use to play a sweeper in a 532 with Roy Keane as the sweeper!!!!
It worked when it shouldn’t have done 😂
Do you remember the manager cheat as Mr Bulgaria at Tranmere rovers ??
In 2003-2004, you left out two phenomena, Evandro Roncatto and Anatoli Todorov, two incredible players who can take any team to the top.
Todorov, could, maybe should, have been the choice. Loved him especially
Evandro Roncatto is my all time favourite wonderkid. Didnt matter if you played a Real Madrid save or a Derby save. He scored so many goals for me. Probably over a thousand😅
CM 03-04
Daniel Braathen and Evandro Roncato.
You could buy them for almost nothing and they were scoring 3-4 goals per game if you played the right scheme for them.
Sherman Cardenas and Leandro Lima were beasts for me n gotta give a shout to Fabio Paim took a while but he eventually became a worldy
Carlos fierro FM 2012 was a beast him and niang

When that CM2 screen popped up, instant nostalgia. Back when you'd search for the regen of all the great players after they retire! What a game.
Sherman Andre Cardenas from colombia for FM 2005 also was my main wonderkid
I started on CM93 but really got hooked in CM01/02 … when it comes to FM Wonderkids though, honestly, I could go on for days! Particularly the likes of Cherno Samba, Maxim Tsigalko & Tonton Zola Moukoko

Humam Tariq was a beast for me in my Fiorentina save in 2014. First save I won the CL and he was a mainstay for a bargain.
Cant believe Cherno Samba went from being a very promising wonderkid to getting no apps on the team i support (panetolikos)
TONTON!
Was always Diego from Santos on CM 03/04 for me. Class player!
I remember signing Kallstrom back in PES 4, then I discovered FM and I also signed there. What a lad 😂

Im missing the legend: Lebohang Mokoena in FM 2005. Nice vid idea!
I think it was like FM 12 where Leroy Fer and James Mccarthy were incredible, got me champions league with Granada
bakircioglu selakovic and kallstrom all together were class, 0102 tsigalko upto 100 goals per season
Kennedy Bakircioglu and Kim Kallstrom was a legendary duo in CM 00/01
Great video !
(Adu and Van den Borre were already wonderkids in cm 0304)
Carlos Fierro and Yaya Sanogo still blood me up now. What a strikeforce
Jonatan Johansson and Gennaro Gattuso in Champ Man 97/98...I'd constantly try to poach them from Rangers as any club in England. Real solid buys and usually turned into team and national regulars for YEARS

No Anatoli Todorov? That's criminal!
It was so hard to pick just one for each year! 😂😂

My two favourites were Andri Sigporrson from Sweden and Isaac Okowonkwo from Nigeria 😁
Sherman Cardenas from FM 2007!

Championship manager 98/99 you had a striker called Peter Prospar from Trinidad and Tobago. Very cheap. 18 years old.
