I still get goosebumps every time I watch this performance. Just an incredible arrangement, from David's amazing vocals to the band playing with an orchestra. ❤️🔥✨️🖤 his control and stage presence is like no other.
This is a nice lazy Sunday surprise, i actually love this version, i remember a few critics thought he played it too dark and dreary but i always thought he pulled the song off great, i know being the total pentaholic i am theirs is my favorite version but this is for sure my second, he is a true solid singer in the era of so much cookie cutter sound. Really enjoyed this one alot, thank you as always and happy lazy Sunday
David was very ill when performing on Conan. If you notice he is sitting on a stool during the performance. The band and Conan staff were afraid he might pass out so they brought out a stool to hopefully prevent injury. The stool worked, David performed beautifully and the performance was nominated for a Grammy. Songs I would recommend for reactions would be: The Light, A Reason to Fight, Down With the Sickness, Hey You, Indestructable, Land of Confusion, and one of my favorites; Hold on to Memories.
So glad you checked this out, he had been sick and was still not 100% healed, still did amazing. David is one of a small group of singers that needs no effects to fix his sining, he is SO talented and yes he has training and yes he is a wonderful rocker.
Disturbed has a very deep catalog ... it's a rabbit hole well-worth diving into. They have a cover on each of their first 6 studio albums. The last 2 haven't had a cover, but they did release a cover of Sting's "If I Ever Lose My Faith In You" in 2020 as a nonalbum single. Disturbed's most requested originals include "Down with the Sickness," "Stricken," "Prayer," "Indestructible," "Ten Thousand Fists," "Inside the Fire," "Asylum," "The Vengeful One," "Bad Man," "The Light," "Hold on to Memories," and I could go onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn ...
I, like Pam am a Pentatholic. But this man’s voice just gets to me. I am not a metal fan at all, and believe me, they are heavy-metal, but when I heard David’s voice for the first time, I knew I had to check out more of their catalog. I started with the soft stuff. HOLD ON TO MEMORIES is the softest one they have. THE LIGHT…A REASON TO FIGHT a little heavier. Then I started listening to their harder stuff, and actually came to enjoy them. But as I like to say, if David is singing, I am listening. They just released a power ballad with Ann Wilson of Heart. DON’T TELL ME which is awesome. For some of their hard stuff I suggest…DOWN WITH THE SICKNESS (their most well known) STRICKEN…STUPIFY…PRAYER…BAD MAN…HEY YOU. Just a few of my favorites. They also have a few other covers. Two of them are…IF I EVER LOSE MY FAITH IN YOU…LAND OF CONFUSION. Between listening to PTX and Disturbed I tend to get whiplash. 😂 🤗💋🥰
This is a beautiful song and one of my favorites. If you like this you HAVE to learn about REN. Start with his video Hi Ren, which has over 900M views and you will see what I mean. Not to mention you will probably at least double your subscription because of the way you break songs down. GOOD LUCK!!!
