Hi! Thank you for your comment! I replaced the halogen lamp with LED, much more light. But keep in mind that LED does not get as hot as a halogen bulb, so snow can build up on the light when snowblowing in windy conditions. (Some LED lights have built in heating wires in the glass to prevent this)

Me likey. One thing that always bugs me and is so blatant with this monster is how he is taking only about 2/3 of a swath and still having snow falling onto the cleaned area. I love and own multiple Honda pieces of equipment. I couldn't help but notice though the entire video was on a very flat surface. Where are the real challenges? How about cutting a path up the hill in the background?
Hi! I will definitely show it the next video once we get some more snow! It has no problem to climb steep hills. As long as it is no ice underneath the snow. No traction on ice with tracks.
What is hybrid about the machine? The adjustments? I have a 7/24 on wheels and an 8/28 tracked. These are the top of the snow blowwing world without question!
It has electric drive motors on the tracks. So you can adjust the drive speed and direction on each track independently. Makes it turning on a dime and easy steering on this heavy machine. You can also drive the tracks without starting the gasoline engine, only running on the two batteries. Nice option if you want to move the machine around indoors.
That is definitely a nice machine. Curious on how it is with the heavy snow? And slush too? You have quite the property. With that said, would you consider like a skid steer with blower? Just asking with all due respect. I’m thinking if that’s a farm, a skid steer is definitely beneficial to what you do there and be quicker to plow that massive yard. Just my opinion of course
Thanks! It does good in wet snow. Slush can clog up the chute, but that is a problem on all snow blowers. We have a tractor as well. Skid steers are not so common in Norway.
I'm really surprised that does not through the snow 70 feet? I have a 420CC Ariens hydrostatic, electronic ignition that is a beast that through at least 70 feet.
I would like to see a video as well. I owned both. The Ariens Rapid track would throw consistently 10-15 feet less far than the 1336i in the same conditions.
Ariens web site mentions up to 60 feet for their professional 13 hp hydrostatic model 😊 Honda web site mentions 62.3 feet max throwing distance for Hybrid HSS1336 and 55.2 feet for HSS1332 I dont believe 70 feet is possible for a 13 hp stock engine 😊
@@garyhennessey3621 well Ariens doesnt mention HP anymore on their website, torque in ft-lb is their new ratings. Even their biggest Pro series with EFI engine is rated at maximum 60 ft. Hi Cowshot tv! You can run each track in different speed, stepless, for turning. And you can also run one forward and one backwards at the same time. Turning on a dime. This is a heavy machine, it would not been possible to run and turn this machine without the hybrid design. And it is possible to move the machine around without starting the fuel engine. Nice when moving the machine around indoors.
@@K12SXXFire You have to consider todays economic climate and material shortages. i can't remember the model snowblower, but there is suppose to be a new design to prevent sheer pins from breaking. My neighbor has an expensive commercial grade snowblower (it's not a Honda though), and it break sheer pins all the time, and has other issues (plus the place that does maintenance charges an insane amount of money to transport/do tune ups). he doesn't have a method to haul it, nor the time to do tune ups/repairs. it has kept me from buying a snow blower, I just shovel, or in heavy storms I pay for snow plowing.

Impressive machine. Honda engineers great products. Unfortunately in the states Honda just discontinued all its lawnmowers even though they were arguably the best. Too much corporate debt? .. too far behind on the electric curve? ... they never said. Hopefully your beauty will be supported for a very long time.
@@Zanderthelab In the last few months. There's a bunch of RUclips videos covering the news. They had great mowers but the market for homeowners is moving towards battery power and they had none. Their car sales are also down 40%+ this year so maybe they felt overextended. A shame because they were great.
I heard through a local Honda powersports dealer that its due to California banning gasoline lawn power tools within the next few years and meeting stricter emissions regulations in the mean time
It's a beautiful machine but the idiots at the dealership don't ever set equipment up right. Honda is a brand that can be relied upon, no matter the equipment. Wish we could say the same about the dealerships we are forced to deal with! Read the book thoroughly and make adjustments as needed.
The hybrid is just so smooth and precise to use compared to the 970. And it has the weight to really dig into hard snow. But it is more complicated to operate because of all the controls.
Not sure what you paid for it but I would y go back to the dealer for service is the shoes were that far out of adjustment. Not something I would expect from a Honda dealer.

No, have not been breaking any yet. I had a Honda HSS970 before, and that broke a lot of shear bolts on the augers.
My atd1332 does too. Gotta take it easy.
i can't remember the model snowblower, but there is suppose to be a new design to prevent sheer pins from breaking.
Kul maskin, men hvor er bensinkannen din fra? :)
Hei! Takk for hyggelig kommentar! Bensinkannen heter Birchmeier Rapidon 6 (6 liter).
No need for repairs other than painting chute and replace the skid shoes. Still going strong!
Спасибо за ответ 👍 сколько лет уже работает?
That thing is amazing, so is the price. OUCH
Worth every penny
Yep and for that price it don't even have heated hand grips.
How much can you ger done on a tank of gas?
You move a lot of snow on one tank!
I have its baby brother HS55....circa 1980's...still runs like a beast...I don’t aim the chute straight down to where it picks up tho...😏
Good machine! Take good care of it!
That is one beautiful machine. The augers on that thing are enormous. What year model is this?
Hi. It is a 2012.
Impressive machine. Honda engineers great products. Unfortunately in the states Honda just discontinued all its lawnmowers even though they were arguably the best. Too much corporate debt? .. too far behind on the electric curve? ... they never said. Hopefully your beauty will be supported for a very long time.
Did they seriously? How recently did this happen??!
@@Zanderthelab In the last few months. There's a bunch of RUclips videos covering the news. They had great mowers but the market for homeowners is moving towards battery power and they had none. Their car sales are also down 40%+ this year so maybe they felt overextended. A shame because they were great.
I heard through a local Honda powersports dealer that its due to California banning gasoline lawn power tools within the next few years and meeting stricter emissions regulations in the mean time
They still sell commercial walk behinds
@@Zanderthelab I first heard about that about a month back - truly surprising and disappointing...
What is that gas can?!?! Link to buy?
Hi! Birchmeier Rapidon 6. Swiss made.
@@InTheVise Very nice. Not easy to get in US apparently, just did a quick search. The hunt is on!
It's a beautiful machine but the idiots at the dealership don't ever set equipment up right. Honda is a brand that can be relied upon, no matter the equipment. Wish we could say the same about the dealerships we are forced to deal with! Read the book thoroughly and make adjustments as needed.
Only $8000 what a deal
If you get this snowblower new for $8k it is a great deal! It retails for about $11k in my area.
I love the gas can….
Yes, so do I! It’s called Birchmeier Rapidon 6.
Swiss made.
I really like it, a huge one "(^ . ^)" what is the price of this dragon ?
$11K
@@InTheVise painful to read that but i still like it... just take care of it for the next 5 generations "(ღ˘ ⌣ ˘ღ)" 💕
@@InTheVise у нас а России он стоит почему-то в 2 раза дороже 😁 20к $

How does it feel to use the hybrid vs the 970?
The hybrid is just so smooth and precise to use compared to the 970. And it has the weight to really dig into hard snow. But it is more complicated to operate because of all the controls.
@@InTheVise I want one! 🙂sounds perfect
coffee holder?
Not sure what you paid for it but I would y go back to the dealer for service is the shoes were that far out of adjustment. Not something I would expect from a Honda dealer.
I did not bought it from a Honda dealer. Got it cheap, as is! No problem for me. I fix thing all the times!
Wow, it looked like it was new! I am glad you got a good deal and I am sure it will last you a long time. I have my Honda snowblower since the mid 90’s and it has never failed me!
What fuel can is that?
Hi. Birchmeier Rapidon 6
How does it work in wet and heavy snow?
It was very wet and heavy snow when I made the video. Works great!
@@InTheVise any cheaper ones from Honda that also works great in heavy snow? Or Husqvarna maybe?
@@evenito9455 If you buy a newer well known brand snowblower with 8 hp or more, I think you will be happy with it. I have tried several models and brands, but I feel Honda makes the best ones. But they are quite expensive.
Hello again, I just bought a Honda HSS 760 with tracks, can't wait for the snow :D@@InTheVise
Were Do you hey that gaz can .......i need to know .....NOW😅😂
It’s called Birchmeier.
Need to put spring recoil on reverse knob. So can't run you over.
The snorkel needs to move faster.
No, you have to hold down the lever on left side. If you release the lever, it stops immediately.
that thing will run fiorever🙂
Hei fra Sverige!
Hei fra Norge😀
You pay for what you get this mean he got the best snowblower
Agree!
Very nice, are you happy with your purchase?
Yes, very happy 😃
Hybrid, what does it means on a sno blower?
It has Electric drive motors on the tracks. 24V.
Actually showing it deep snow, not 1” like most tests.
Is there a rideable attachment?
No.
Jesus! That thing can throw snow to the friggin moon eh lol
10 grand though! Holy smokes
Don’t be cheap.
Like a lot
That's a skookum snowblower.
Does it come with hand warmers?
No, it doesn’t unfortunately.
In the USA, that machine is over $9000.
In Norway it is $11000 retail, but I bought it used. Got a very good price, and I couldn’t let it pass for the price I paid.
