I'm always using gift bags for paper crafting ideas, and I watch for them to be marked down. I grabbed large gorgeous Mother's Day bags for .62 today at Wal-Mart today.
I went to 4 dollar tree and I even went over to a few towns away but I could not find the dragonfly bags. But I did found some other beautiful ones. I used one of the bag that has strawberries and bird print and used it as a journal cover. 😊 I dont mind glitters because I love glitters lol I have glitters everywhere in my house 😂 I did got a couple of the wedding bags too, they are beautiful.
I received an end-of-year gift in an amazing bag with lots of colorful polka dots on a "glittery" (but not the kind that comes off) white background. I made an adorable 3-year-old boy birthday card with it. I even filled in a few white spaces with ink on a pencil eraser. It turned out so cute!
I love that you are doing this. There are many times I have seen some beautiful bags at dollar tree and thought about how they could be repurposed.
I agree with you about glitter! It gets everywhere and it seems to multiply.😂

I have two Dollar Tree Plus' in my area. But they don't have the beautiful bags you got. I found a gorgeous flower bag at Dollar King and I made a beautiful 3 book stack for my daughter for Mother's Day. Turned out awesome!! Thank you for sharing your awesome talent with us, Sherry. Mod Podge always works for me when I'm dealing with anything that has glitter. I've tried scraping off the glitter, but it doesn't work for me. I'm looking for the dragonfly bag myself. I have a relative that loves dragonflies and writing, so I plan to make some notebooks and notepads for them. Thank you so showing us these gorgeous bags. Have a wonderful day!

Love the bags! I'm in the minority when it comes to glitter. I do clean off my work area, but if it's on the floor or me I don't really care because I love to see the sparkle. It does vacuum up eventually.
You could get a lint roller from DT to pick up the glitter from your desk. 😊

Very nice prints on those bags! It's a shame they are tainted with glitter. Around here we call glitter, craft herpes cause it seems as though, even if you shower after coming into contact with it, you still find it somewhere on you. It just doesn't go away! LOL! I do have to say, it was great to hear a true crafter say they are not a fan of glitter! As a Halloween person, I cringe at all of the Halloween skulls & spiders slathered in glitter! Halloween does NOT sparkle! Christmas does! Save it for Christmas!
I am very anxious to see the video of how to combat it!

I will definitely be looking for that dragonfly bag! It is beautiful! Oh, have you tried the Swiffer sheets to pick up glitter? Works wonderfully. My daughter LOVES glitter so when she comes over there is glitter all over the place and the Swiffer sheets pick it all up. Love your videos but never can get on your live. What time/day do you usually do live's or are they random?

I caved to the glitter years ago. I find glitter in the strangest places, and now it just makes me smile. Have you tried the $ General? I sometimes find the same things at the General as I have seen at the Tree (some of them still for just a dollar).

I have to say, I am 80% sure I bought the dragonfly bag s Dollar Tree, BUT it was about 2 years ago. I'm not sure if they repeat patterns, but that pattern may not be available currently. I could be wrong, and you will hopefully find many cute patterns for future projects - buy in multiples!

Well I was too busy to head to DT today. Maybe tomorrow because I need to look for that dragonfly. I will be doing my best to find it or something non glittery. I have some DT glittery bags that I will fix when I learn how from your video. But oh that dragonfly is fabulous.

NOT doing glitter again like I did yesterday on a couple of cards. I have a couple of bottles on glitter gel polish and a UV lamp (because I do my own nails), so I will use that instead.
