F*****g great, an oil and gas helicopter with no battlefield design features. New paint job and the weighed down with military kit, too much specialised GSE and a lack field serviceability. Air transportability determined by the requirement to remove major component systems to fit into ST assets with associated engineering penalties.

Yes, yes, this helicopter is not suitable for the military. An Internet expert has spoken out. Strange, because, for example, the Polish army ordered 32 of them.

Fat chance of that - all our political parties are only interested in what’s in it for their personal gain - our country is corrupt and rotten to its miserable core.

Fat chance of that, all our corrupt politicians are interested in is what they can get out of it for themselves. Our country is run by self serving politicians and civil servants.

I know there is no endless supply of cash, but our armed forces deserve the best equipment possible! As always though, our government look for the low cost option!!!

Airbus and Sikorsky withdrew from bidding is they pretty much know that the project is going to be cancelled or chopped down to number which is not commercially viable.

The latest UH-60M Black Hawk is better in almost every way, but British politicians would rather buy subpar Italian helicopters as it keeps our European masters happy.🇬🇧

Damn more good money after bad! The country dosent have the budget for this. Need to cut running costs in the military by having fewer types of helicopters. Should have bought more wildcay lynx and merlins instead of a new type of helicopter.

If money is your issue here, then Labour could start by scrapping the £11bn foreign nation green energy assistance package being pushed through by Miliband. The 'new' British energy company is also a joke as so much taxpayer capital is being put/thrown down to sweeten the deal that any thought of value for money was strangled at conception. A project that can't be allowed to fail, and never will because they'll happily freeze pensioners in winter to pay for it. Yes, 1 or 2 didn't need it anyway pity the other 98/100 that did....
2nd point: If the manufacturers of the RN's helicopters could meet Army requirements, don't you think they'd have bid for the contract?
