I'm admittedly bummed that I didn't go with my gut instinct & buy bitcoin few months back when it was $20k - $25k range. is it too late to get in and make profits? i have set aside $450k to get fully invested this year
i don't think it is. Once bitcoin crosses it's all time high, it becomes the new bottom. Anything under 69k is a good buy. It's still advisable to work with a fiduciary advisor instead of relying solely on speculations
The only issue you might have is the fear of missing out, just like everyone else. A good number of people discredit the effectiveness of financial advisors in exploring new market opportunities, but over the past 10years I’ve had a financial advisor consistently restructure and diversify my portfolio/expenses and I’ve made over $3million in gains… might not be a lot but i'm financially secure.

Like Warren Buffet said, dividends are only good if the business you're investing into can't make good use of that capital. So, if you're trying to invest in businesses with actual growth, looking at dividends is a waste of time. Why are you investing into a company if they're returning capital to you because they think you can make better use if it than they can. It's not much different from bond investing. The way I see it, if you have a $1 million at some point, that'd be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between 50k - 70k in dividend income.

My spouse and I are adding a variety of stocks/ETF to my present holdings for the long term, We've set aside $250k to start following inflation-indexed bonds and stocks of companies with solid cash flows, I believe it is a good time to capitalize on the market for long-term gains, but it wouldn't hurt to know means of actualizing short term profit.
The current market might give opportunities to maximize profit within a short term, but in order to execute such strategy , you must be a skilled practitioner.
I agree, having a brokerage advisor for inveesting is genius! Amidst the financial crisis in 2008, I was really having inveesting nightmare prior touching base with a advisor. In a nutshell, i've accrued over $850k with the help of my advisor from an initial $120k investment.

BTC is dead because it became a speculative investment vehicle instead of an actual currency. People just buy it to gamble, nobody actually uses it. BTC is not even capable of handling the amount of transactions needed for that. It would have been cool if we had had a decentralized currency.

I wish I could've just paid a wire using bitcoin and paid 10 cents instead of paying $20 in fees. Just because its not useful (on the 1st layer) for micro transactions doesn't mean its not a capable store of wealth and useful in large transactions

7:52 how easily transferrable is it if there's no upper bound to how high transaction fees can get? To me this is completely self-inflicted situation that could easily have been addressed by simply raising the blocksize. See Mike Hern's(former ex-google employee) 2016 post about bitcoin's planning and scaling failure.

7:55 to 8:37: all those factors are already solved by something that exists before bitcoin: Pokemon Cards. Pokemon is the largest franchise in the world and cannot be dethroned, making it more accessible than Bitcoin. They also cannot be counterfeited easily due to the printing materials used which means you can always tell the real cards apart from fakes. They don't take up much space, aren't heavy, and are a gray area when it comes to value possession as it can't really be properly taxed.
Resources like gold should and likely will only be legal to be owned by governments in the (near) future anyway due to these resources being required for modern day technology, and citizens don't really have any business owning such resources to use as a commodity / asset. That's pure rationality and fact, and if you know what's right, then you should follow it and then maybe you won't be poor anymore. Just saying.

One slight correction, bitcoin can be seized by law enforcement or the government via a court warrant or asset forfeiture (just like gold).
They can order it, but they can't take it if they don't have your private keys.
You'd have to consent and they'd have to make a law criminalizing Bitcoin...wait.they are actually working on criminalizing it on the basis of its use by terrorist 😂😂imagine that. We are all screwed if we consent.
