Hey, Zach, from East TN. This video could not have come at a better time as my 2 year old John mule has grown increasingly ear shy. Not only has it become slightly worse over time, but it's now sometimes difficult to put a halter on him. I'll be trying out your techniques by the end of the day today. Your videos are very helpful. Thank you for taking the time to record, edit and upload them!
Good deal, my friend! I hope it works out good for you. Just remember, pressure and release! Pressure and release! That will teach them good. Thank you for being here, taking time to watch and comment. I appreciate it. Take care and do come again, please
Hello Zach how wonderful to see you again.l had to laugh 😂 as May out her head right down at least four times when you weren't looking, you had your back to her head putting on the rest of her harness lol ... lm shouting at the screen Zach May's released her rope quick look 😳 all the very best dear friend....Joyce England uk ❤
Ha ha, yes you’re right lol. I hope you are well! Thank you so much for the kind words and taking time to watch and comment. I appreciate your dedication to my channel. Take care and do come again, please
Regarding 6:47 another way to say this is, "Do not release the animal when it is telling you to stop." Because, if you do release them when they say stop, then you've trained the animal to tell you when to stop. (You've let the animal train you.)
Dear Zach And thank you for the prayers Its very valuable to see a long term dedication to training them to be able to do whatever you create for them to do I am going to remember that for always Thank you my friend Take care
Thank you, my friend! I really appreciate your kind and encouraging words. Thank you so much for being here and taking time to watch and comment. Take care of my friend and do come again please
Yes sir you are most welcome and thank you very kindly. I sure appreciate it! Thank you for taking time to watch and comment. Take care and do come again, please
Hello Mr. Zach, This is Jimmy. Your channel has become a Favorite of mine! I don't have Mules or any animals at all. But I understand completely what you are doing and what you are trying to accomplish. It is that way with children as well. I understand the reasons why my folks done the things they did for me to teach me the right way and not go the wrong way in life! I think the our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is training all of us now for a Job that He wants us to do as well! Your videos remind me of that! God bless you and your family always my friend!
Hi Mr. JIMMY! Yes, sir my friend are most right. They correlation between the two is spot on. We all need small corrections here and there. Thank you so much for the kind words! And I’m glad you enjoy my channel. Thank you for being here and taking time to watch and comment. It is always good to hear from you. Take care my friend and do come again, please
Zack, you know a thing or two about mules. It’s good to know that you are a Christian man too. Pray for America and pray for Israel too. God is still in control and prayer changes things!
Yes, sir, I will! And thank you so much for the kind words. I appreciate it. Thank you for taking time to watch and comment. Take care and do come again, please
Now, I never had a mule, but I have had horses for 61 years and rarely had to deal with the problem of an ear shy animal. But I noticed when we got our donkey a few years ago that he was reluctant to have me touch his head or ears. With patience and many treats we overcame the problem and now he even likes to have his ears handled and brushed, for example to get the burs out.
Yes, sir, that is a good way as well. I have had horses and mules like both that didn’t like their head to be touched or their ears. I can’t say one is really worse than the other. Anyway, thank you so much for taking time to watch and comment. I appreciate you being here! Take care and do come again, please.
Dear Zach Thank you for letting me see how you care for them its really wonderful to see everything and the progress God bless you all there and the animals too Its beautiful there Take care my friend

Great video with great pointers. I appreciate what you’re doing bringing us along on the journey. I’m starting a young Percheron and with these videos I have been able to take tidbits of information and ideas here and there to help with our progress. Keep up the great work and have a great day.
Thank you very much and thank you for taking time to watch and comment. I’m glad you enjoyed the videos and the scripture. I’m glad to do it… Take care and do come again please.

Thanks for sharing the video Zach. Yes sir you are making good mules out of them. Everything you point out is easy for me to understand. Wish I had thought of that rope trick when I was younger with the horses as they were tall and I was shorter. God Bless Y'all. I really appreciate you taking the time to make these videos. Stay safe out there working.
Yes, sir, you are welcome. It truly is all pressure and release training… Simple as that. No treats or none of that stuff. Just simple pressure and release. And it works pretty good. I’m glad you enjoy it and can understand it. Thank you for being here and taking time to watch and comment. Take care, my friend and do come again, please
Just an idea I wanna share with you, here in France, I use thyme honey for all my horses' wounds. Excellent for disinfectant, fungicide and hair regrowth. It works great 😉
That is pretty neat. Thank you for sharing that with me. I might have to try that sometime. Thank you again for taking time to watch and comment. I appreciate it. Take care and do come again, please
Yes ma’am, you are welcome. And thank you for such kind words. Also, thank you for your prayers and blessings! There is nothing you can do better for me. I appreciate it. Thank you for being here and thank you for taking time to watch and comment. Take care and do come again, please.

In your opinion, will a mule set back & try pull her head off, like a horse will. That thought occurred to me when you tied May' s head down. In my very limited experience with my molly, if she gets scared, she will pull back, hit the end of the rope & stop. Is that a common mule behavior? Enjoy your videos very much. You have a whole head full of common sense when dealing with mules. God Bless.
Be it horses or mules… they smarter and animal is the less it will try to hurt itself. Horses will do the same thing as a mule if they have enough sense. Generally speaking… A mule will have more sense than a horse. So that is why they tend to take better care of themselves. And yes, you are correct and you’re thinking… Thank you for the question and thank you for taking time to watch and comment. I appreciate it. Take care and do come again, please
You answered my question I was wondering if kate and Alice might struggle getting into routine again because of working with May and June for awhile would effect them but I hear you nope. Especially years I was surprised
Yes, ma’am! You are most welcome. And yes, once a animal is well broke… They are broke. You can lay off with them for a while, and when you go back to them, they will be the same. Maybe a little bit out of shape… But still broke. Thank you for the kind words as always and the blessings. I appreciate it. Take care and do come again, please
In the mule world, there are either horse mule colts or mare Mule colts. And that is why… Thank you for the question and thank you for taking time to watching comment. Take care and do come again, please
