Just a quick note about the Rubik's "speed cube." There are in fact versions that exist that have screws and allow adjusting the tensions. You will know because there are two little grooves in the center caps that allow you to pry them off. However, the version I showed is far more common, and only has rivets underneath (they look like screws, but aren't).

You saved me today. I bought a Rubik's cube for my son's friend and then offered to adjust the tension for him. I took all the centre caps not realising they had a specific place (oops). So I followed a guide on how to put them in the right place and this seemed to work, It matched the product photo and instructions image. But all apps I tried said it was unsolvable. I was a bit scared to take it apart but this video made it very clear. Thank you. You made a grown man very relieved and a young lad very happy. Cheers 👍

you should do the sides instead they can be taken out with your palm and its pretty easy also dont recommend puttind wd40 in it it will make it harder to turn

I was solving one of my old cubes that I had, and I found a parity, on a 3x3, and on top of that one pair of corner were swapped. This video helped me a lot and I was able to fix the cube!

My friend was cubing with my moyu weilong gts2m in school outside and then somebody shot a ball, I randomly kicked it and it flied to my friend so the cube fall out of his hands and fell from like 4 meters and no piece popped, but it got loosened a bit, or 1 piece fell apart into 3 smaller pieces and the cube got a bit dirty but it took us like 10 seconds to repair.

You saved me, thank you! My son have the same cube as 1:50 and I almost tried to disassemble. What I did is rinse some baby wipes and ask him to pull the sides to clean with the rag in between each layer, then let it dry in from of a fan (put some folder paper in between to let the air flow inside, and then ask again to pull to spray some car silicone.

If a corner gets twisted, most of the time you can just twist it back without taking apart the cube.
