One that is not featured in this video that is worth recommending is the Meinl 8" big mouth steel bell. It's my favorite and I've owned several, including the Ludwig Goldtone.
We unfortunately did not have that bell in stock at the time of filming this video, but from the sounds of it the Mike Johnston bell is a rock cowbell with a more authentic sound, while also offering the option for internal muting. We're sure its on par with the other great quality bells from Meinl, with some unique features!
Hi! This is a great video. I'm looking to find the perfect cowbell to match the song 'Grazing in the grass'. I'm not a drummer and am looking for a cowbell that is handheld that will be close to match the same tone in grazing n the grass. The pearl HHS Cowbell sounds the closest to me. Do you know of where I could find a handheld cowbell that is that same sound or close to it? Thanks!
You had to go to his shop and test because they all had a unique sound. Unlike LP, you know what sound your getting. No disrespect to JC . Just going to his shop and speaking to him was an honor.
Great to hear them all side by side like this… I discovered there’s at least a dozen I think I now need… oh great!
Thanks for checking it out!
Great evaluation (self) video...keeping everything consistant. Thanks!

THANK YOU.
I needed this video like 3 weeks ago😅
Hopefully it helps your next cowbell purchase!!
Both of Meinl hand-hammered ones sound like actual cowbells, as the ones actually attached to a cow
More cowbell will cure a fever.
Greatest cowbells I've ever played are Keplingers *
I love it I wanted to know if you've ever used the Mike Johnston Groove bell? Do you think it is good for latin music?

Can you comment a link as a reference? We can do our best to help. Thanks!
What is Dave Weckl's cowbell?
It doesn't matter, because only Dave can make it sound that way🤘🤘🤘🤘
LP ES3 ES4 !?
LP's are The best easily
Es-9? Es-3? One of the lost popular ones?

Gone but not forgotten

Geez maybe give the guy the tracks to play along to next time
Good musician ears don't need that.
Lp son excelentes campañas sólo que hace mal la Prueba ya que deben ir montados aun clamp para no ahogarlos y saber dónde vas a golpear 🫠
Meinl hand hammerd copper
Really need 2 gra
