exactly...my mother wore a beautiful smelling perfume often, and I loved it. She bought me one for a birthday...and on me it smelled like funeral flowers. I couldn't wear it. Smells different on everyone.
I had the reverse happen to me. My mom for a short time started using the same scented body spray my girlfriend at the time (now wife) was wearing. It broke my brain.
Why can't it just be that it's true what he said? I understand the concept on scents and accociating scents with certain people or things, but sheesh...if he doesn't associate it with his mother then I don't see what the issue is. But that's just me, though.
