I didn't know you had played these pieces recently - not repertoire I would have connected with you! I also slightly preferred the Steinway, but the recorder probably has a big influence. Have you ever tried recording from the other side with the lid open?
The Steinway (used for the first prelude) is warmer and richer in tone than the Bluthner, but the latter has clarity and focus. Good to see you here again. I hope all's well.

On balance, so do I but the spikier nature of 'La serenade interrompue' seemed to work well on the more brittle-toned Bluthner.
