Very nice, particularly the lyric approach to the main theme!

:) :) thank you for saying that, itchy. I often struggle with this myself, and it's one of the reasons why I haven't uploaded hardly any well-known pieces on my channel.
But now that you say that, yes, you are right, every performance is different, we really need another one :)

Damn what a performance. Sounds like a Steinway btw - is it?

      Well spotted - yes, it’s a Steinway B from 1978.

I just finished to study this ballade and you are an extraordinary performer of this not easy work. Super happy to found your channel and follow you. Congratulation, hope to see one of your live concert in theater..
PS. A so smooth final I've never heard..

Thanks, enjoyed it, I particularly liked your pedaling and the character you gave to the lyrical parts!

Thank you. The 'blurred' pedalling in the two dominant pedal-note reprises (E then D) of the first theme is unconventional, but for me, it lends a touch of mystery to that part of the drama!

Nice to listen to your version of Chopin's first ballade! I liked your calm approach on some parts which are often played too passionately (including myself...). I was revising this one till some months ago and now working on the 4th. I never get bored of revising them.

I’ve played all but the fourth which I’ve always found something of an enigma - but I’m sure you’ll do it splendidly and I look forward to hearing it!
