Releasing on the way down and basically your opponent's hands/arms hitting the mat the same time as yours still has the impact but also the safety
What about the pedigree the one that gave he Marty Garner and broke his neck. That one looked brutal and it like it did a lot of damage. I cringed when I saw that one he landed on his neck and spine wrong.

Look how he places his ankles everytime when dropping. They are always outward so there might be a lot of pressure for the knees to dislocate or something idk I'm not a doctor. Like Hulk Hogan fucked his tailbone from the leg drop and it cause some issues with his spine. I think he said it affected his height. Same with Austin and Stunner. Undertaker stopped performing Old School cause it caused issues to his neck, back and knees.
