still quiet, same shops all countries now nothing special with shopping centers now. Although KL and Bangkok are huge comoared to Bali. Glad you pointed out Aloft as was wondering where it was, too close to shops and noise so wont be staying there. Thank you for your work again.🙏👍🙂

It’s nice to walk over to Beachwalk if you’ve had enough of walking in the heat and escape haggling for awhile. Just thinking the top level would have been ideal for a coffee shop up there, have a coffee and enjoy the view. 😊
Good if you want to cool off a bit...Or when absolutely in need of something. Other than that, I wouldn't see why I would go there when being on a holiday 😁

Arabica is the name of this coffee shop. It’s Japanese brand. Bali coffee is robusta mostly with kintamani arabica blend. If you at least little bit familiar with coffee you know as bali coffee sucks a bit
Damian is correct there is plenty of Arabica coffee grown in Bali, including Kitamani. Indeed, Arabica beans are more common across all of Indonesia, when compared to most countries.
Nevertheless the Temanggung Coffee Beans from Central Java are Robusta as are a number from Lampung and their production (maybe 70%) would outstrip the production of the more specialised Arabica.
Of course Robusta and Robusta mixes are found, especially in cheaper brands often with sugar ready added.
Liberica (or jackfruit) beans are becoming increasingly popular (it was only 1%) and are larger beans. Many years ago I recall drinking a coffee in Minahasa (I guess Koya) which I was told was between Arabica and Robusta. I assume this was Liberica, although it is not normally associated with highlands, so maybe it was Excelsa?

Currently the best mall, but when Icon Bali opens in Sanur next year, I think Icon will be the best mall in Bali! We are coming to Bali in December, after 4 years, but unfortunately it will not be open yet!

I just love beachwalk … I was there last month and Starbucks and Sardinia are my two favourite places to go. Not a fan of the Aribica coffee though 😳

I’ve never been to Bali, and opting to go first time hopefully this Nov👍🏾.
I went to Patong in Phuket in 2022, so how does Bali compare to Phuket?
Tbh when you try to compare big cities like KL and Bangkok to Bali, it’s really no comparison at all.
I’m off to KL again next month, as it’s my favourite city in Southeast Asia and you can find pretty much anything and everything there.
Bali is a beautiful place 😊. I like coffee shops, restaurants etc. not bothered about bars or clubbing scene.
It would be good to know what you’re thoughts are on the above.

Went there a few weeks ago and couldn't find the shops I wanted. Wished I saw this vlog before I went. Just kept walking around the same area. Will have to plan it out a bit better to cover the whole thing next time. A map would be great to find our way around

I don't care for malls and designer 'stuff', and beach clubs.We enjoy the Bali of old. We are comming back in November, maybe for the last time ! ( 1st time in 1986).
Just to get in soon will be around 65 dollars and it's not the cheap holiday it used to be. We have plenty of money to spend there but that goes even further in Thailand (and around 15 dollars entry).
The Indo.government are squeezing out the exact people it wants to go to Bali.

Have no idea who you are referring to !!! All I know is this mall looks like any other mall in the world. If you are in Bali, experience Bali. Why would you WASTE time doing something you can do wherever you live !! Doesn’t make sense to me . By the way, I lived in Bali 2+ years in the 1990’s and have been married to a Balinese woman for over 27 years.
