The Ashby is truley a gem! I !ook forward to you sharing it with us! Thanks Phil...😊
Allways enjoyable to watch and to listen! Thank you 😄
Loved hearing the rain drops and seeing them rippling on the water. Beautiful cruising even in the rain. Lovely music and song. Thank you Phil. Glad bump wasn’t too bad.
Great to watch and listen to...very relaxing indeed.
Many thanks!
The Ashby looks calm and peaceful. Good for the soul. The summer there continues to look more like the winter here! I follow a few other narrow boat vloggers and they, too, are often expressing disappointment with an unseasonably cold and wet summer. I hope it gets better for you all.
Another relaxing vlog, with beautiful music. Thank you.
Thank you too!
I don’t have a clue what we are looking at or where we are but drifting along gently is enormously good for the soul and my state of mind. Better than seeing any therapist. many thanks for that greatly appreciated gift.
PS…..now I do. More thanks.
Now that was a beautiful vlog, I feel so rested after such a hard shift at the hospital, love the music with the super scenery. Thank you ❤
bushka and midge rule the cut and tow paths
Hi Phil, after nearly 20yrs as a liveaboard I’ve spent the last 7yrs on the River Nene and now moved back to my beloved canals due to unfortunately losing my soulmate. Boat is going back in the water tomorrow at Boot Wharf on the Coventry after several jobs (amazing folks there, highly recommend) and will be heading down the Ashby to Bosworth Marina (first time in a Marina !) but aim to spend as much time as I can ‘on the cut’. Will look out for you, all best wishes 🦆💕
Great vlog. You do sell the lifestyle well. Soooooo tempting. Loving the new music too. Very clever. 🎉
Thanks so much! 😊
😅thank you for sharing your vlogs...always enjoy them xxxxx
You’re welcome 😊
Ive been watching your vligs for a while, but yhis stands out the music is amazing and different being about the canal and the sunnyweather. Not quite like Enya who i love but still very different and enjoyable!😊
Thank you, I appreciate that!
THERE IT IS! The famous "throne" at Bridge 14 on the Coventry Canal (6:08-6:13 to the left at the base of the arched stonework). Nearly every narrowboater who produces videos has passed by this way and marveled at its stately presence. It looks a bit neglected though... onwards to Charity Dock!...
Throne? I've no knowledge of this?
The little maps you used to put up at the start of each video were handy for those not familiar with the area.
Cheers.
Thanks, I've already covered this area before with maps etc. I do understand the maps are useful but the maps take a good hour to make, and they're only on screen for 20 seconds. I'm currently spending most of my time making the new music.
Your horn has a rather "unique" quality. Thanks for the great videos, Sir.
Many thanks! That horn is awful. Sounds like a strangled duck!
Love the cats and the new music but I miss the little space ship. I know it's a little silly but I like it.
It nearly returned in that video but not enough sky visible...
I absolutely love your music with the AI voice added. So sweet and angelic. I assume you write the words and AI does the rest, however it's done, the effect is wonderful.
Well sort of... each track takes me about 2 - 4 hours to make. The songs are generated in short sections and they're not always good. I have to generate usually over 100 sections in order to piece together six or so to make the song. There's a great deal of discernment involved on my part. Thank you, glad you like it.
Another wonderful tune! You always amazing me, but nevervsurprise me..If you know what i mean..Ive enjoyed the Coventry..your home really ?.We all.have a place our heart and mind feel best in...tell me? When it rains like this does it cool things down to?
Lovely vlog..🤓
hope your boys have come home stinkers have no idea how much concern they can create.....All.the best!!😊
Thank you. The rain does cool it down. The boys are back.
Hi Phil. Who is the amazing female vocalist on your tracks? All the best, Tricia and Neil......
I really couldn't say? She's not real... unfortunately.
@@NarrowboatJourneys Synthia then 💻😀
She certainly sounds very real.
Nice to see plenty of places to moor up at. Hope you are feeling better after your rant over the cats.
I am, it wasn't a rant, just frustration at not being able to move.
Excellent video Phil.I notice the overgrowth on both sides is getting pretty bad and I don’t think it bodes well for the future of canals. Its the same on the roads, apparently done in the name of nature, but surprisingly there’s hardly any insect life to be seen around where I live. What’s going on?
It's very overgrown but the path itself is bad and now it's harder to see the bad bits! It was not fun cycling down there. Almost all the insects are gone. Decades of herbicide and pesticide use has caused this for the most part. I can clearly remember how much insect life there was when I was a kid in the late sixties and early seventies. And of course there is a knock on effect as the insects are food for animals and birds higher up the food chain. It's all very sad.
@@NarrowboatJourneys I quite agree, but this year seems particularly bad and I’m going to wear my tin hat now.I’m convinced that clouds are being manipulated by spraying, to grey out the sun, supposedly to cool the Earth. The technology is discussed on the Met office and government websites although they don’t admit to actually doing it.I believe food supplies will be short this winter.I sincerely hope I am wrong on this and I’m just an old idiot talking rubbish.
I like the musical interludes. The music and voice are good, but the lyrics are a rather bland. I've been using MS Copilot a lot for text generation purposes and most of the texts also display a rather naive exuberance.
I don't think they're bland. I'm still learning the art of lyric writing.
@@NarrowboatJourneys Sorry, I thought they were created by the AI. I'll have to check udio out.
Udio can do the lyrics as well but there is also the option to add your own instead.
