- One year after our first recording together ( • Karol Szymanowski play... ) I finally had the chance to meet Anna and Arek from @GlassDuo in Poland.
We are delighted to share this lovely waltz composed by @joehisaishiofficial9777 for Studio Ghibli's famous film: "Howl's Moving Castle". It has quite a different taste with our instruments and we hope you will enjoy this alternative rendition.

Genuinely one of the peak musical interpretations of our lifetime
The purity of your intonation is almost frightening
It amazes me every video he uploads haha
@@paunaic5460 agree)))
Heavenly! The glass harp and the theremin sound lovely together, almost surreal. Works really well with Merry-go-round. But I also really appreciate the cinematics, watching this is not only a treat for the ears but also for the eyes.
we all know howl and sophie would love this.
the instruments are certainly ones that might amuse howl!
I cannot fathom how this doesn't have more views. It is the most unusual but beautiful combination of instruments I've ever seen.
I can't believe what I'm seeing here! People making music put of glasses and by moving their hands in thin air, this is MAGIC, the kind of stuff RUclips was made for! Out of this world.
I legit used to look up glass harp merry go round of life and was disappointed when there were none. And a few weeks ago I discovered the theremin and I'm so happy that this exists now!
Wow. Two of my favorite unconventional instruments performing a beautiful duet of my favorite Joe Hisaishi composition. Thank you so much, I have thoroughly enjoyed it.
These instruments generate a haunting and pure tone that expresses the mood of the music even more effectively than the original instruments. Such musicality! Such skill!
Y que caro debe ser comprar todas esas copas
this deserves an recognitionn! those instruments isn't easy to playy ❤ really appreciate itt
Great choice of location ! It's shot to look like a scene from the movie, that's a great touch !
if i ever make a film, I'd get this guy to compose the score. underrated musical genius.
Do you mean Gregroire or Joe Hisaishi?
@@AdamFaruqi maybe he dont know who is Joe Hisaishi
gregoire, i don't think i'd call joe underrated, but he's also an undisputed musical genius nonetheless. needless to say he's already scored a ton of film scores - would love to see what gregoire would do
I completely agree can you imagine him doing the American horror story score 🙌🙌
@@zacherymendoza5109 that'd be sick but i was thinking more of an arthouse thriller score.. something like a Lars Von Trier film haha
This is a video i always come back to. No only is it from my favourite ghibli movie, but this video also came out the same day that my mom died.
Hauntingly beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.
That brought tears to my eyes. So beautiful.
Same.
my favourite movie and my favourite instrument - combined into one sumptuous, ethereal piece; thank you so much!
Imagine me standing here, applauding the performers. This is brilliant.
Wow. This is literally what i've been looking for, a soft version of this song! And both these instruments tie in together so well!!! Thank you
The way the theremin was played makes it sound like what I would imagine the first sentient robot to sing. Like Portal 2 ending
it's always fascinating when weird instruments make music that sounds beautiful
Souch a beautiful and ethereal sound, I absolutely love it! You've made my day 100 times better !! :D
Superb performance of the truly loveliest waltz piece I've ever heard....thank you! ❤
God bless all of you, this is such calm and breeze like a sweet wind in the mountain.
Plus this is my favorite movie, so i feel like living in heaven right now. Thank you for making this using these instruments!
This is amazing... such a rare, unusual and yet hauntingly beautiful combination of sounds. Love it, keep doing what you're doing
Je ne peux que demander un concert avec l'intégrale de la collaboration de Hisaishi avec Ghibli désormais.
C'était top !
the super tight sharp hand movements to get the exact right note on the theremin are so interesting to watch lol.
First viewer! Privileged 🤩
So beautiful. Thank you. I've listened to this more than 10 times already.
It sounds like angels are singing to us through theremin and glass harp.💫✨
Your channel is officially my favorite, i wish to learn the theremin well because of how much it puts me in awe, your channel and all this creative content is an inspiration
Gregoire, you are making it most difficult for me. Each time you post a video, I can't decide which is my favorite one. Guess I'll have to say "ALL OF THEM" !!!! This latest one is fantastic and I really don't know why 3 people didn't like it. All three of you did an excellent job. At night , just before bed, I listen to your version of The RACHMANINOV: Vocalise. It always puts me in a good frame of mind, what little there is left of it at my age. STAY WELL......
This music has pure soul❤
It’s a good day whenever you put out a video. Thanks
Je pense que c'est devenue ma vidéo préféré sur cette chaine,
(si je chope les 3 ptits cons qui ont mis un pouce rouge..)
bravo monsieur grégoir
you are a magical being
Everything about this is beyond beautiful.
Air and Glass
W-O-W
Gregoire, you never fail to amaze me. Since I first heard 'Waves' I became a big fan of yours and whenever somebody asks me about theremin I recommend them your music. You create such an art waving your hands so gently and playfully, I get chills everytime. Actually, I think I get chills everytime I see you uploaded something new. Thank you.
i am sure that these are the most beautiful people on earth.
Sounds like Hisaishi floating between galaxies in space
Perfect combo of instruments for the perfect tune.
The amount of effort that had to go into transcribing this song is impressive. Very good job.
This cover deserves more viewwwwws!!
Thank you and Thumbs up! 👍
Wow. That was a treat.
That was fantastic. Well though out, and extremely well executed. Beautiful. I loved that movie.
