Thanks for uploading this!! Gosh I wish the director would stop cutting to the fallen climber instead of focusing on the one cruxing out on the headwall. So infuriating.
They obviously havent figured out the announcing yet. As it stands id rather watch both lead and boulder with no announcement. BUT, when Alex Honnold announces for one of the US organizations, that ought to be very fun.
Man Adam Ondra might be an awesome outdoor climber but for these sport climbing events he so often ends up making these basic mistakes and his pacing is usually really weird as well. Man, watching somebody like Jain Kim or Chaeyun Seo is so nice in lead and Adam's pace is just so abrupt comparatively.
That's just his style, powering up, then finding a resting place, if available. But it's obviously a risky style, especially with so many new slippery holds! He's always capable of topping a route or falling 20 moves on 🤷🏻♂️
Nah, just the format is merciless, and they're climbing in a brutal heat! Not really ideal for climbing! The route is made to separate climbers, but this system will never showcase the best in both categories! Let's hope in LA they will separate them once more and have combined as a 4th discipline , maybe in Brisbane 😅
@@androgynousmaggot9389 With this setting boulder specialists got at least 30 points more than the lead ones. Not fair in any way. I agree: it's a nonsense to combine these disciplines. For sure the person who decided that has no idea about climbing.
“No freesoloing allowed on the lead wall” - could we pleeeeease skip the stupid commentary explaining the most basic stuff? You dont hear football commentators going “and that round thing is called a ball and needs to go in that rectangular netted shape”
