BRO I WAS A OWNER of an hornet too but i my free servicing was cost me around 350 max for oil change and it was being a 2 years for me and i have completed just a 15000 km but it was just fine and engine sound like crap in lower rpm but it will become louder in higher rpm and the cornering was nice but we cant break on corner with confidence and bike back tire will easily get loose it grip even though its a big tire trust me :)
Use motul 300v fully synthetic engine oil with Easter core technology which is made in France and mostly used in high end bikes. Use it and feel the difference in your bike performance. Don't forget to tighten your bike chain and apply bike chain spray after every three weeks

When I had 11k on the odo, u had already covered 20k.... now... M nearing 32k... and I 've had my hornet for 18 months now... closing in on u real quick buddy :p chain sprocket changed at 16k once and 2nd time at 31k...

Completed 5th service which costs me around ₹4500. But I had to only change my chain and sprocket at my 5th service. Worst service centres and they don't even know how to service a bike.

The iRish Life i suggest to avoid hornet.... Yeah it got Honda Engine...better go for fz 250 or yamaha.... And i personally dont like new hornet design...also i feel a lot vibrations after gng abv 60-70..

Yes spares are little bit costlier than fz. But the bike is reliable.I am an owner of the very initial model of hornet its been three years. No engine issue at all.
Waste of money. Over priced, engine sucks, chain socket sucks, worst initial pickup ., handling is also not soo good like fz. Honda Service centre technicians hate this crap for wat it is.. They also said first time in honda they are seeing this type of engine issue's in bike. They referred me to buy unicorn 150.. Wic serves much much better than hornet
Engine heats up in city riding. But I love the bike as it is. Went for a 1400 km tour and it showed it's superiority over Gixxer.

Still I didn't get any vibrations nd I have reached almost 120 kms of speed nd I agree about the poor headlamps
