I would love a Punisher War journal type novel from different clones perspectives. Cody, Rex, hell I would even be willing to read a story from Crosshair's perspective. Their inner thoughts.
Sort of had something like this with Karen Traviss' Republic Commando novels. However she could not finish due to massive retcons she couldn't work around.
I wonder how many Star Wars fans realized EA GAMES could have made a Star Wars and Dead Space cross over, and it actually would work and fit into the lore of star wars
Lol no, no it would not. Had it been even remotely possible you would have provided an idea or two from yourself or someone else. But you didn’t did you.
Im glad EA didnt... look how they messed up Battlefront. Same way they messed up the Battlefield franchise. Ever more unplayable/buggy games, then they microtransact in the most predatory fashion, and even remove popular features.
It’s so sad bro most fans definitely want to see Cody again and it would be such a shame if we never do…I doubt they’ll give us what we want but thankfully hoplite vfx is making a 212th epic looking fan film
If Disney is smart, they'll give us a bit of a both, Dee Bradley Baker in animation and Temura Morrison in live action. Star Wars is in dire need of fan service and doing a lot of characters and actors justice that they dropped the ball with, Temura especially.
I hope/think you’re right. Not addressing Cody‘s story was my one big complaint with season three of the bad batch. But I do like that they brought him in again in season two to show that he was having doubts about the empire, and to kind of set Crosshair on his redemption ark and to give us an idea of what he was doing. I wish they hadn’t cut that Cody scene out of Kenobi. Though I guess in a way it makes sense since it would’ve clashed with the rest of the story. Though I do hope we get some recreation of it in the future. I think the Internet would go nuts if that happen. I know I would. It would be so cathartic to see the two of them talk and make amends again. i’m sure Kenobi would forgive him. But it would still be cool to see them talk and catch up and kind of clear the air.
@@rand0mlyth3re35 That... literally isn't the definition of a cameo bud. Mon Mothma is arguably one of, if not THE, single most important character regarding the creation of the Rebellion in Disney canon (bc I'm pretty sure they have not formally reintroduced Garm Bel-Iblis to the canon).
@ericpeterson5994 It's not even that he was just following orders, he was literally doing his job as the head of the Coruscant Guard. If he did things differently, then he actually would be doing his job incorrectly.
@ericpeterson5994 Also, did he ever actually do anything wrong? I genuinely can't think of anything he did that most other clones in the GAR wouldn't have also done were they in his position.
What I'm hoping because I've said this in someone else's post that Cody is either in hiding and retiring from it all like Rex, Wolff, and Gregor or he and his own clone squad or his 212th unit are helping the rebels with suicide and deadly missions that regular rebels couldn't do and get those missions from trusted allies that being people who served for the Republic or other clones that are helping the rebels on the front
I would love to see how Rex,Gregor, and Wolfe find each other. Star Wars Rebels never really explains how they meet, and got to where they are with the stolen republic walker. I would love to see that back story!
If the clones all rebelled, and the Empire came in to "save the day" that would explain the bad view and negative emotions people had regarding clones during the Thrawn Trilogy and the Hand of Thrawn books.
I would've preferred Cody to remain in the Empire, leading the clones loyal to the Empire, and having that group fight the clones in the rebellion. Brother against brother. Have a confrontation between Cody and Rex in something akin to the Duel of Heroes as an echo symbolizing the Jedi Generals they served under. Would be a hell of a lot more entertaining and emotional that way.
That could’ve been cool, but seeing as Kenobi was his Jedi General and certainly would have had an effect on him the terrible actions of the Empire it makes sense why he went AWOL in Bad Batch
@@cameronhermann9400 Cody was someone who is by the book and does things to the letter. he's also the type of person who doesn't care how long it takes the job to get done as long as it's done with the least amount of casualties for the men under his command. they changed this personality a little in the new Canon so now he feels affected by everyone who loses but originally he just viewed the losses as the necessary casualties to get the job done
everytime I’m reminded of the scrapped obiwan/cody relationship moments from the show, I get so bitter 😭 even in tbb crosshair could’ve mentioned he has worked with cody to rex and the batch but NOTHING! we better get a clone-centric show eventually… and hopefully cody contacts rex or obi at one point. sunshine boy come home 🥲🥲
I would love to see a conflicted cody come back! Now that we got to see him losing faith in the empire, it would be great to see what his actions would be!
to be fair, there will always be filler episodes related to building the characters stories and lore, especially in the first seasons of shows, the last season of the Bad Batch was great because filler episodes weren't necessary anymore, so the show focused on the primary plot the whole time.
There is some opportunity in Andor Season 2, based on where it fits in the timeline. I don’t have any particular knowledge, but they could certainly have cameos(which would be very Disney keeping a tight lid on things). That said, while they did give some indication of what happened to Omega, I think they have more to do with her storyline as well.
And now just yesterday, Ewan McGregor hinted at a possible Kenobi season 2. I really REALLY hope we get to see him there. Give Tem this role please please please.
In the Expanded Universe he still worked for the empire until he retired but he hated it because he didn’t like non clone troopers he reminisced about the good old days
I was hoping we would get an ending for Cody but he is just out there somewhere in the galaxy doing who knows what. If Rex knew he was out there I know he would find him.
We need Crys, Boil, Wooley and Slick protect Commander Cody in A Clone Rebellion series, which they are main characters, also Crys was Cody's second in command can save his life for rest of the clone rebellion, it means Cody stay alive will save Star Wars.
Crys wasn't Cody's second, though? We don't actually know who Cody's second in command of the 7th Sky Corps actually was, but the closest we have is Major Jorir who was constantly working alongside Cody and handled the command of Cody's personal squad, Squad Seven.
@@aliostrowski1935 True, but Cody did betrayed the empire because The Empire never be peace and order, maybe Cody will free Slick from coruscant prison before he went awol.
@isaacrebellion9893 Ah, I see. I'd recommend saying that "he served under Cody" instead of "he was Cody's second in command" in the future because there is a very big difference between the two.
It might be unpopular but Cody doesn't necessarily have a penance to make. He had absolutely no control of the actions he took against Obi-Wan. Sure, he can apologize. But everything Cody did to Obi-Wan was against his will. It's one of those situations where both Cody and Obi-Wan are victims, and the Empire is the villain. Cody didn't necessarily betray Obi-Wan either. A betrayal implies he actively turned against Obi-Wan. He did not. I think their situation is more complex than Cody having to beg for Obi-Wan's forgiveness, when Cody had no control of his actions.

Lastly, there would've been an attempt to shoehorn Cody into the OBK TV show at some point in the series, it didn't happen. Conventional wisdom leads to one conclusion, Cody is dead.
I think interpreting DBB's comments as confirmation that Cody is alive during Rebels is quite a stretch. Sure, I want it to be true too. But the fact that he is talking about it is proof he has no idea what his status is. If he knew, he wouldn't be able to talk about it because of NDAs. This also means there is absolutely nothing in the works for those characters. When DBB stops answering questions, then we can speculate.
Honestly, I think it’s a war going on at Lucas films/Disney. I think we see reminiscences of it in the shows and movies that we watch. I think it started with the sequels and Mandalorian S1 and ever since then we’ve been receiving divided media. Things that push Lucas films and a more so correct direction like Mando, Ahsoka, and TBB. Then things that pushes Lucas films in the wrong direction like the acolyte, The rewriting of the Kenobi show, and the rewriting of solo. And us fans are stuck in the middle of the shit storm
