Interesting take new potential threats. You shouldn't overlook how Dynamax works wonders for glass cannons like barraskewda who gets insane coverage moves though. Luckily he's not a big fan of Gyarados.
You're underestimating Grimmsnarl and Hatterene. Grimmsnarl is basically a Sableye that can actually hit back as it packs a good support movepool to abuse Prankster with. Hatterene is one of the most threatening wallbreakers ever made, as it has good bulk, can set up Trick Room if it's used on those kinds of teams, and can deal with the Ferrothorn/Toxapex core rather well thanks to its access to Mystical Fire.

Toxtricity is definitely gonna be OU! It's Amped-Up form has access to Gear Grind & both versions have access to the 140 base power move Boomburst combined with the signature ability that powers up sound base moves.
Booey9000 I love Toxtricity but it has a subpar speed stat for it’s typing that easily gets itself killed unless you set up properly or remove any threats to it. Plus it’s completely shut off from any offensive capabilities when facing a steel/ground type.

Forever Undying exactly and if you weren’t prepared for that, which none of the game really prepares you for. He’ll flatten you. But I still really enjoyed it. It felt epic, like a final battle in the league should feel like.
Even though I don’t do competitive, I decided to have a full team of Dragon types just for fun, and I put a Duraludon, more specifically a shiny GMAX one with an Assault Vest, on that team, and I regret absolutely nothing. Using one has made me appreciate this Pokemon so much more than I originally did, even though I’ve always liked it, and now it’s one of my favorite gen 8 Pokemon because of that
Jury Expert it also has the best type coverage by move pool out of the starters, matches up best out of the starters against the gym leaders (debatable with Cinderace) and against Hops team (ignoring Hops starter choice). It has arguably the best stat distribution of the three as well. So specifically for the region, Rillaboom is a beast. In game it is ridiculously strong - players who have used more than just one starter have commented this all over the internet. I’m not even fond of Rillaboom. Just acknowledge it’s an absolute monster.
You failed to mention that Dracovish's Fishious Rend also get the Strong Jaws boost. I've seen damage calculations 2KOing even resisted Ferrothorn with a boosting item.
Alcremie is absolute BEAST. Between having high Special Defense, Reflect and Draining Kiss, I have used Alcremie to tank most of the gym leaders and Leon's Pokemon, only swapping out to my Dynamax Bolthund to deal with Gigamax Chrizard. Also, I LOVE my Cinderace. Bounce, Pyro Ball, U-Turn and Zen Headbutt is what I'm running at present, and running with a Life Orb. Bounce is there mostly for Dynamaxing in order to get that speed boosting twister attack. And Pyro Ball is not only super good, but is the slickest looking move in the game PERIOD.
Another potential is (surprisingly) Eiscue. It can learn Belly Drum through breeding with Galarian Darmanitan, and it's Ice Head ability means that you're guaranteed to get a free use if you're up against a physical attacker. Corsola with eviolite and Cursola surprised me with how strong they are. Corsola is bulky AF, reminds me of the old Dusclops I used to use in doubles that my friends hated lol. @@hrathurahl8697 in regards to moves, I just threw Waterfall, First Impression, Payback and either High Horsepower, Rock Slide or Leech Life depending on scenario
Corviknight and Barraskewda are broken imo Once you set up Corviknight (which is extremely easy with, bulk up, roost and max airstream/steelpike), there's only haze that can stop you and when it comes to Barraskewda I have three words: Choice Band Dynamax. It enables you to use more than one move on top of that 1,5 att stat.
Pluck Roost Power trip Hone claws So we use Hone Claws to raise all the way up if we are low health we use roost and continue. We then use power trip. It will be super strong as our stats are high. Pluck is just a backup move. Used it for most of my battles other than rilaboom and Golurk. By the way Pluck can be used for weak pokemon or super effective This was my Corviknight's moves.
Great list! My list would be the same except swapping Intellion with barraskewda with it's crazy type coverage and swapping dragapult (just gonna get sucker punched to death) with eternatus. Really sad Gamefreak didn't give Zamazenta Body Press, it does mroe damage based on the user's defense and zamazenta raises its defense when it comes in, and it's a fighting type move and Zamazenta is fighting type, such a missed oppertunity.

We need more psuedo legendaries that aren't a dragon type for once Metagross and Tyranitar are the only ones
Orange Soda I agree with that, I get that a lot of them r dragons but in my opinion bergmite and avalugg should’ve gotten at least a Galarian form
Avalugg turning out to be a pseudo legendary would be awesome as it’s one of my favorites
Bobby Moore I agree that it is really easy to get but they could make the evolution levels a little higher to balance it out a bit
Jethrotex: as a FAIRY STEEL type
Me: checks sword pokedex
Me: IT'S A PURE FAIRY TYPE YOU DOOF
it's steel fairy in armor
Yh its pure fairy but why you would use it without the crowned form you doof?
@@howtochangeyournameonyoutu1823 😂 nice one
Oh no, the Roman Kirbies didn’t make the list!
Ikr
So im just going to drop this here
Cheer force kingler with a agility setup and a life orb when he dynamaxes/gigantamaxes pretty much every move gets a secondary effect and high base dmg let that sink in for a bit
And nice video btw
Eiscue’s ability seems pretty powerful, but pure ice typing and 470 base stat is sorta sad
Bellydrum is the key
@@sakutaro3musik486 Also Max Hailstorm resets Ice Face
Since when did base stat total mean pokemon is good or bad when it's more how the stats are placed than how many there are...
That pokemon uglier than the fossilmons though tbh.
Corsola with eviolite and Cursola surprised me with how strong they are. Corsola is bulky AF, reminds me of the old Dusclops I used to use in doubles that my friends hated lol. Also Appletun seems kinda crazy too with thick fat, gonna wait and see, currently wonder trading like crazy hoping someone with Sword blesses be with a Darmanitan lol.
I honestly think the only thing keeping Zacian from being AG in the next Gen is Groudon. As for this Gen?
Not so lucky.
cinderace is gonna be crazy good in competitive. literally fire type greninja that hits harder but a little slower
yea thats actually quite good mines is lvl 60ish i was using it until after i got charmander after the league
@@丹霸子 Tho why would you downgrade from a cinderace to a charizard?
V-jes he's trying to get gigantamax charizard
@@James-og2qu not really worth it considering dynamax cinderace is still stronger and faster.
@@V-Jes donno about that but my cinderace isnt gigantamax charizard is
OMG HE’S BACK IM SO HAPPY
That pause after listing off Corviknight's moveset lmao
Don’t be like me. I put rest and snore on alcreme felt like an idiot
TheRm1996 just go to the guy next to the computer In Pokémon center and relearn your moves
Does rest still heal?
Billy Bob Bobson No. It has no affect
Everybody sleeping on my man Hippowdon. pretty much soloed the end game with him.
DO NOT CALL HIPPOWDON A HE!
I freaking had a Dragapult before I watched this lol. Edit: also Duralodon.
For Wooloo and Dubwool to be OP, they need their hidden ability Bulletproof, and the moves Cotton Guard, Body Press, Rest, and Wild Charge ( In my opinion)
Cotton guard and body press with Fluffy ability and a rocky helmet is honestly my favorite setup I've ever played with.
96Swinehart I forgot about rocky helmet
OP is an exaggeration
@@snnnaaaaaakeeeee4470 How so? 🤔
@@snnnaaaaaakeeeee4470 The larger defense it has, the more damage body press does
Zacian is the fastest....?
No that can’t be right
Even Weavile is faster than this man
Edit: I actually versed a few weaviles.... I was wrong
This homie really used Slifer the Sky Dragon in a Pokémon video
"Highest speed in the game" ninjask is right there sir
He's only using Gen 8 Pokemon for this list
@@KurorinZeta he said in the game not of the new pokemon
Talonflame was always one of my main Pokémon and when I found out sword and shield didn’t have it I.. I...
A fossil is bad pokemon yet its overpowered
*wat*
Frosmoth should’ve been on at least the honorable mentions list. It has fantastic special attack and not to mention it just looks nice
Still pretty bad though.
Is golispod in sword and shield? When i got my golispod i killed everyone with him, he was a powerhouse
Yes in both
Any specific moves or items he should have?
@@hrathurahl8697 in regards to moves, I just threw Waterfall, First Impression, Payback and either High Horsepower, Rock Slide or Leech Life depending on scenario
polteagiest with max evs in speed and special attack is gonna be terrifying i think
Remember inteleons snipe shot ignores abilities
Corviknight and Barraskewda are broken imo
Once you set up Corviknight (which is extremely easy with, bulk up, roost and max airstream/steelpike), there's only haze that can stop you and when it comes to Barraskewda I have three words: Choice Band Dynamax. It enables you to use more than one move on top of that 1,5 att stat.
Dynamax ignores Choice Band's boost tho. But it doesn't ignore Life Orb
Pokemon are starting to look more and more like digimon for every new set that comes out
Whats the difference between a digimon and a pokemon?
Billy Quade Wrong. Digimons have guns, rockets, granades etc. Pokemons dont. Learn the difference
@@supreme338 I was born in 92 my dude , i grew up watching both and loving both , so belive me I know the difference .
Billy Quade And im from 91s so I know 1 year even better than you.
Tim You sure your mother lets you use internet? gtfo from here brat. You people know nothing about differences between Pokemon and Digimon. dumb boi
Pluck
Roost
Power trip
Hone claws
So we use Hone Claws to raise all the way up if we are low health we use roost and continue. We then use power trip. It will be super strong as our stats are high. Pluck is just a backup move. Used it for most of my battles other than rilaboom and Golurk.
By the way Pluck can be used for weak pokemon or super effective
This was my Corviknight's moves.
Duraludon is gonna end up in UU, bet.
Runegrigas with Will-O-Wisp and Hex
Still not that great
Cinderace is going to be op af when it’s hidden ability gets released. 120 base power signature move, high speed, and a protean like hidden ability
Chief just get a female scorbunny and make eggs until u find one with the ability
@@dinkalus that's not how it works when it comes to hidden abilities.
Mac Hillstad I always thought they were abilities you could get through breeding
@@dinkalus only if one of the parents already has the ability. I could be wrong with the new gen but I'm sure it's still the same way.
Literally Boltund is the CUTEST, FRIENDLIEST, MOST GOOD BOY (or girl) IN THE HECKING GAME
Baraskewda is legit a really good choice and should actually deserve the Number 5 spot. I doubt, that the Fossils will do that much for the Meta ...
I beat literally every gym by spamming only Snipe Shot. Every single freaking gym.
shsl*toaster I tried to be more diverse but if I was losing I just switch to snipe shot lol
You can do that with every pokemon game though...
Competitive and playthrough are completely different
Cool video, so far i have my first gym badge 😁
