The Italy 1982 world cup shirt by Le Coq Sportif was beautiful and deserves a mention. For me personally, Italy Kits by Diadora (including tracksuits) was the pinnacle zenith afterward never as good. However, a few highlights since were the 1996 Euro kit by Nike, the 2000 Euro 2002 World Cup kit by Kappa, and the 2012 Euro kit by Puma.
4:48 is my favourite. Got Baggio on the back. I didn't like Kappa or Puma at all. Happy Adidas now has the contract. Before Adidas offically signed they made a white shirt with blue in middle which I also have along with a blue with trefoil and Italy badge. FIGC name and stars on crest were removed but had Italia on it which makes it awesome
Just to be awkward but the Italy Kappa shirt you held up is from 2002. The collars were different by that 2002 World Cup and the material was thinner than the Euro 2000 version. The 2002 version had perforated side seam panels for heat regulation and they took away the 3 gold stars from the right arm. Also the lycra content between the two tournaments reduced considerably. They look identical at a glance though!
@@retrofootballkits I bought the original 2000 one the year it came out. I wore it religiously for about 3/4 years to train in and I've still got it in perfect condition. Kappa marketed them as shirts that would help the referees to see shirt pulling by the opposition. Since then I've bought the 2002 version and they just didnt hold up as well after multiple wears + washes. I also have a 2000 long sleeved player version and its so much more comfortable and durable. Big Italy collector and all shirts in general. Cheers mate. Sorry to be that guy
@Schlakers101 Both the 2000 and 2002 shirts were slim fitting, made to be wore tighter to the skin, so shirt pulling by the opposition would be more visible/obvious to officials. Very similar to compression shirts yes but more flexible and a little looser down towards the hem + lower torso! Back in the year 2000 i wore size large, although i was a medium in those days(aged 17/18) and it fitted like a glove. My pro version is an XXL and that one fits more like a XL. I wear that with a thin cotton t-shirt underneath. You are taller than me so I'd advise atleast an XL. But it depends on your body-type. An XXL might be fine too. I'd be interested in selling my XXL. What do you weigh bro? Your width/body shape and size will make a difference also. Don't forget that there can be a significant difference between sizes in different continents. Europe and Asia sizing is generally smaller than US sizes. If you have measurements i can help you better!
I really appreciate this video! Just a little tip... As you can see any of theese kits don't have the badge of the technical sponsor on it (I mean the badge of Nike, Diadora, Adidas ecc...)... Until late nineties the FIGC (Italian Football Association) did allow the presence on the kit only of the Italian badge, this dogma was broken the first time with the accord between FIGC and Kappa, I think it was 1999... You can see the badge of technical sponsor in previous kits only in replica kits My favourite kit was the one from France 98 world cup, simple, the color was perfectly dark, and I loved the white, thin, lateral strip on it, perfect!! Sorry for my english, bye
Another great video my friend for Italy kits 🇮🇹🇮🇹, thanks so much.Italy have the best kits ever.as a fan of Italy i agree with you,Italy Nike shirt 1995 is beautiful and best one.its sad they didn't wear it in any international tournament.i have Italy Nike shirt Euro 1996 with name and number of the legend Baggio 18,and Italy 1994 my best shirt with Baggio name 10, Italy 1990 , And Italy World Cup 2002kappa shirt, and Italy Kappa Goal kepper shirt gray Euro 2000 , Italy puma 2006 world Cup 🏆 and the Euro shirt 2020 🏆🇮🇹 great design by Puma.
@@andjelkozlotvor i agree with you Italy puma shirt 2006 was not pretty but it was a special shirt and the shirt of the great Glory winning the world Cup
You're #5 kit (the first one you show) is actually the 1986 kit. Looks very similar to the 1990 kit, but at Italia '90 Diadora reversed the tricolor on the sleeves and collar. So the red stripe was on the outside, not the green.
1. Although I like many of the details of the '95 shirt, I really don't like the sublimated graphic on it. The geometric pavement design is fine; it's the old badge graphic that I don't like. (Maybe it's because it reminds me too much of the late '90s Mexico design; which, while cool, is too much for me. (But, Mexico has had some bangers in the past). 2. I really like the 2014 Puma kits (especially the home blue). I think they look good, but they're really elevated when they're worn by the players on the pitch. It wasn't a good tournament for Gli Azzurri, but I like the kits. 3. The 2020 is 🔥.
It is a Italian team, still cannot Believe BBC sport website, social media and the bbc sport RUclips team used your clip for a Venezia shirt For those who are new here, you should check that out It’s legendary for his channel 1:21 true, do you think that is why most are unsure about the next World Cup? 7:54 true Italy won today too Not in the recent world cups now though So they are rebuilding and want to get to World Cup 2026😊 A updated video to the video two years ago as you said :)
I absolutely despise the Kappa shirts they’re so plain and tight looking, especially the collar, and that colour is vile. It looks more like a cycling kit to me. Napoli’s 2016/17 kit looked better than that. Anyway here’s my top 5 Italy kits: 1. 1994 2. 2020 3. 1995 4. 2012 5. 2014
My Nonno had the Diadora jacket you’re wearing! Glad I found your channel!

The beginning of nike era is the best shirt for me i love that Adidas is bringing back the old shirts from the 90s
Nike in the 90s were class tbf

I think the best Italian shirt would be a mashup of the 1995 kit with 1994 collar and cuffs with the post 2006 wc badge. That kit would be 😚🤌💚🤍❤️
That would be unreal! 🔥🇮🇹
WC 1994, WC2002, WC2006, Euro2012, Euro2016 & Euro 2020. The Best!
But the 2012 Euro cup shirt was a banger
Tbf, I do love the 2012 one
Didn't fit the narrative though 😅

Nice selection but I would go with 1996, 1995, 1994, 2006, 2020 and not too far off 2000.
Not really a fan of the 06 kit, but fair one
I regret selling my 94 Baggio Jersey. 😣
Devastating!
He couldn’t have won anything with that penalty. He could have only tied the shootout with Bebeto to take the potential game-winner.
Tonight Italy and England in Milan.🇮🇹🏴
An easy victory for Italy. England is overrated as always.
1990 the best
