They can both see in the dark to an extent, but the difference is that Peach wants a torch so she can see properly to make sure nobody else is around her.
Yes, exactly - it means whenever we use the stand we have much fewer shaky camera problems, and we also have four free hands as opposed to just three. We don't always use it though, because it's good to move the camera around in certain scenes.
I don't know if there's any one character which I like over the others - what I like is the huge diversity of interesting characters and I always like to see them reappear in games throughout the series. The enemies in particular are my favourites for this.
E.Gadd is the creator of the original Poltergust 3000 and Gameboy Horror from Luigi's Mansion, so we thought it would make sense to reference him. It's just a reference, that's all!
Yeah, boos are evil far more often than they are good in the games. But I'd like to have a friendly Boo in a video eventually - it's always nice to see some of the usual enemies helping Mario in the Paper Mario games!
The camera is positioned in just the right way for it to look like that. The boo is off the bottom of the screen so he doesn't appear to be there in real life, but you can still see his mirror image. There were a few failed takes where the boo could be partly seen outside the mirror, but we just re-did them!
I saw the video - it's good to see you improved from one to another. The moon video just before the Peach and Bowser scenes is one that I took myself with my usual camera, at maximum zoom (10 times I think, but I could be wrong). As for the story, I'm avoiding revealing anything about the rest until I finally release Part 6, but all questions should be answered :)
This is honestly an example of how every plush film should be. Like, seriously, this is to plush films as Evangelion is to the Super Robot genre. So much time and effort was put into this, and it's actually full of inventivity. I have to admit, that part with the boo paintings in the hallway was a really cool effect, and I was legitimately fooled by it! I really can't wait for the final part in this epic saga, and I hope every plush film made after this at least tries to be as good as this!
Hopefully when Mario's Quest is done it will have a movie style - so it will flow together when watched from start to finish in a playlist. In fact, I might make a separate playlist just for Mario's Quest, cutting out the 20 seconds or so at the end of each video where it waits for the viewer to pick a video.
1) Bowser's logic was that the door doesn't need to be locked because there's a goomba on guard who will stop Peach if she tries to escape - that didn't really work out... 2) In Part 2, Goomfrey felt sorry for Peach because she had been taken from her castle to Bowser's and trapped there, and then they became friends over the past few parts (I hoped this was obvious...). So Goomfrey has feelings that most goombas lack.
The ordinary goomba sound which I use is from Mario 64. Or if you'd prefer the Goomfrey noises, they're from a Mario Super Sluggers pack. Both packs are on mfgg.
The whole scenery is on top of some cardboard which has a hole cut into it. A sheet is placed on top of all this. When Luigi walks over the hole in the cardboard, I grab him through the sheet and pull downwards, and this drags the whole room across the floor!
Not too bad thanks! Yeah it is going to be a long episode, but I'm not going to cut it or anything, I'll just let it be as long as it wants to be. I'm sure people won't mind a longer episode! I was thinking about doing that with the joining of the parts, but then I thought I could just use a playlist, so I'm not fully decided about it yet.
Collapsing room: the whole scenery is on top of some cardboard which has a hole cut into it. A sheet is placed on top of all this. When Luigi walks over the hole in the cardboard, I grab him through the sheet and pull downwards, and this drags the whole room across the floor! Moving wall: The walls are all just cardboard boxes with pillowcases covering them, so when I move the box the wall appears to move. I don't know what you class as a "special effect" but if you list them I'll respond.
Pretty much. It's mostly planned out, I just need to go through and check that the story is complete and it all makes sense. I'll be doing that over the next few days, then filming will be under way towards the end of this week.
It's a difficult question to answer. I think I've probably most enjoyed the Paper Mario series in the more recent years, but over my life I think Super Mario World has to be the one I've played most (it was also my first Mario game), followed by 64. I've always loved the open hub world of Peach's Castle in that game and I don't believe any of the more recent Mario games have given the same sense of exploration in the hub since. Then I also love the Mario Parties and more recent Mario Karts!
Hmm, I don't think I'll be able to add anything in at the last minute to be honest. I don't know the game well enough to be able to make proper references yet (I don't even own it currently) but I'm sure I'll have some ready for next time.
I'm glad you think so! I don't intend to use it for the whole thing; I just want to use it occasionally. For example it would have been useful for the fight in Part 4.
Filming for this one was spread over about 4 nights, but then we also have to set up the scenery before and between scenes. So I'd guess filming took around 10 hours, maybe more.
Yeah I was thinking of using it for something along those lines :) I have some ideas at the moment. But actually I might just put them on this channel instead - I'm still thinking about it.
I like Paper Mario for its atmosphere - it's cosy. It has memorable characters and great humour, and diverse worlds. And this can't be nostalgia talking since I actually first played it aged 14/15, just a year before I started making videos. I use its music a lot because I believe that the atmosphere from Paper Mario is suited to everything that goes on with these plush toys - this Mario's Quest story is largely inspired by that game too.
Haha someone else asked me this same question on BMF the other day. I think I most like the Bowser minions because they're so varied, but out of the main characters I like Luigi. Also Wario and Waluigi are great to work with whilst filming because they are so silly, so any of these really!
No no, it will be finished, all 27 and a half minutes! It will be uploading soon and I'll post an update - it won't have finished uploading today sadly but tomorrow it will have.
Yes - the plan is for Part 6 and the Yoshi Tutorial to be done in late December, with another tutorial in January if I have time. As for the plush series, the earliest we'll be able to make new episodes is March-April, but we do hope to continue making them.
Hey Goomzilla. Thanks for making the "make your own Goomba plush" video. Since you posted it, I have made 1 oneself. It's awesome & I can't wait for part 6 of Mario's quest!
It's one that I got on a stall at a theme park; its tag says PMS on it if that helps. They don't seem to be easy to find though, so you might just have to settle for similar ones on eBay for example.
Could everybody PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION FOR UPDATES ABOUT PART 6! It should tell you everything you need to know - I keep getting people asking when it will be ready because they don't read the description! Thank you :)
After there were so many characters in the previous episode, I wanted to restrict the main part of this one to just Luigi and Boo, as a total contrast. Well, there's also the Whacka at one point, but that's to go with the recurring theme.
This is amazing! Me and my little brother can't stop watching your videos. There's a lot of creativity and effort in making this. Greetings from Chile!
I'm not working on it at all until December - that's why I can't release it earlier. But of course I'm still hoping it will be a good finale when the time comes!
I love these videos! The ideas are creative, the adventures are exciting and fun, and the sets are so well crafted! Bravo goomzilla, and thank you for shaping my childhood. 😊
Goomzila you are the best! By the way, had a good christmas? Finish the part 6 soon, 25 minutes is too long, it's bigger than some episodes from tv shows! Hey, an idea: After you've finished the Mario Quest, edit and join the six parts, making a enormous video, like, a movie (omg it would be a 2 hours video!). it would be great!
Mario and Luigi were prizes at a theme park but it's easiest to look on eBay for similar ones. As for what's most difficult: everything from planning to filming to editing is individually vital for the story and execution, so I have to make sure each of these things is as good as I can make it. Editing takes most time but filming is most difficult to get right, so I guess filming is the "hardest" part.
I think this is your best video yet! not just in the mario's quest, but out of all the videos you've made! I think it would be awesome to see a luigi's mansion plush series by you!
I get the voices from a site called MFGG (there's a link in the description) - you can find packs of voices from lots of different Mario games there. Then I drag and drop the voice clips into the video in my editing software - most video editing software will let you do this.
I've been at uni so I've had no chance to start it until just recently. It's being made right now, but it still takes a long time. This is also going to be a very long episode... filming is currently about 25% done. I update the description with my progress every few days, so if you want to know more that's the place to look.
To everyone: Part 6 will be ready in December, probably somewhere between the 15th and 20th. I'm currently at university and won't be back to work on the next video until December, so that's the reason for the delay. It also might take longer than usual to finish it because I want to make the finale as good as I can get it, so these dates could change.
Bruh this is probably my favourite part out of all parts of the Mario's Quest, but honestly all parts are amazing and bring out the child in me again :33333
Merry Christmas everyone! Part 6 is half-filmed now, but I haven't done any editing yet, so it's still at least a week until it will be done. Tomorrow we'll be back working on the filming and maybe within the next few days it will be done and I can get editing. Thank you for your patience!
They're meant to look like E.Gadd's glasses - E.Gadd is the creator of the original Poltergust 3000 and Gameboy Horror from Luigi's Mansion, so we thought it would be a good idea to reference him (this was my sister's idea).
1:32 how did you make everything suck inwards bro? That's sick!! Oh and what do you use to edit? I think I need to know. Well, yeah, of course I need to know.
Oh! Thank you! I never though you'd reply but, thanks! That's really thoughtful. And once again, thanks! :D And by the way, keep up the good work with Plush Films! They're awesome!!!!! I would have never liked Plush Films if it wasn't for you. :D:D:D:D:D
When are you going to make *Luigi's Quest Part 3?* I really liked Luigi's quest to find Mario and Peach. And to stop the generator from entirely transferring all of Mario's abilities and stats to Princess Peach. I forgot, why exactly does *Bowser* need *Mario* to transfer all the power to *peach?* I mean like, why does he want that? Sorry it's just that I don't want to watch the entire video again. Please reply and *tell me please. (again)*
Ahhh, right. Thank you! Sorry I didn't reply straight away, I was at school for the next hour. Oh and I watched part of your Tutorial on how to make a Toad Plush. It was really helpful! I used to sew, but I don't know how or why I stopped. They're really interesting to watch anyway! Thanks! *(Again.)
I remember watching this 6 years ago those are the sweet memories 💙
You is dreamworks
The best plush animations I loved watching when I was 6 too
I don't know if there's any one character which I like over the others - what I like is the huge diversity of interesting characters and I always like to see them reappear in games throughout the series. The enemies in particular are my favourites for this.
ok
It's a "?" pointing at Mario and Luigi's House.
Hi Goomzilla I extremely love your videos you're my childhood
I want to thank you for making my childhood man ✊
E.Gadd is the creator of the original Poltergust 3000 and Gameboy Horror from Luigi's Mansion, so we thought it would make sense to reference him. It's just a reference, that's all!
Thanks for sticking with us!
Yeah, boos are evil far more often than they are good in the games. But I'd like to have a friendly Boo in a video eventually - it's always nice to see some of the usual enemies helping Mario in the Paper Mario games!
Omg the memories I watch this in the old days and now I'm watching in 2019
Me too
I has well
I'm watching in 2021
@Pervelvo same
do u guys watch sml now because of this?
The camera is positioned in just the right way for it to look like that. The boo is off the bottom of the screen so he doesn't appear to be there in real life, but you can still see his mirror image. Thank you; it took a long time to sort the scenery for these parts!
If whacka is the True villain. That Would be Hilarious!
Hi I like your PvZ Plush videos!
@@joshua210808 Same!
Funny
I liked that scary part at 6:02. Luigi screamed there at 6:03!
remember when we didn’t know
The amount of effort put into these videos makes the memories much better

1:34 is Destruction of The Sammer Kingdom

We changed it between Bowser and the Koopas' Staff and Bowser Needs Minions.
I know, it's been annoying, but we're finally starting filming today!
Thanks! And sorry about the wait.
1:34 used to terrify me when I was younger
Same
Me too I think I got a nightmare about it happening to me
@Space Boi I totally have to agree with that
Pretty much. It's mostly planned out, I just need to go through and check that the story is complete and it all makes sense. I'll be doing that over the next few days, then filming will be under way towards the end of this week.

It's the same as our normal Koopa plush but we gave it a moustache and hat - this plush was from eBay.
Hmm, I don't think I'll be able to add anything in at the last minute to be honest. I don't know the game well enough to be able to make proper references yet (I don't even own it currently) but I'm sure I'll have some ready for next time.
this is my favorite episodes out of all of them cuz I am a HUGE luigi's mansion fan. great work Goomzilla.

I wouldn't think about it too much, but you'll see what he means eventually :)
Hey Goomzilla. Thanks for making the "make your own Goomba plush" video. Since you posted it, I have made 1 oneself. It's awesome & I can't wait for part 6 of Mario's quest!
There's a thin thread attached to it and we just pull it - you can see it if you look closely.
It's one that I got on a stall at a theme park; its tag says PMS on it if that helps. They don't seem to be easy to find though, so you might just have to settle for similar ones on eBay for example.
Yes; in this episode it appeared in front of Luigi to guide him.
My childhood video lmao. Thank you for returning my innocence and my memories back
Could everybody PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION FOR UPDATES ABOUT PART 6! It should tell you everything you need to know - I keep getting people asking when it will be ready because they don't read the description! Thank you :)
hey goomzilla yoshizilla here thanks for watching my video and i can't wait for mario's quest part 6
Overall, about 30-40 hours probably. This one was actually quicker to make than some of the others.
E. Gadd's glasses actually - because he made the two items that are nearby.
After there were so many characters in the previous episode, I wanted to restrict the main part of this one to just Luigi and Boo, as a total contrast. Well, there's also the Whacka at one point, but that's to go with the recurring theme.

1:32 funniest part of the video.
Merci pour cette vidéo Goomzilla , je suis impatient de voir la partie 6
Rewatching again as hyped for luigis mansion 3 XD
Nice job
I'm not working on it at all until December - that's why I can't release it earlier. But of course I'm still hoping it will be a good finale when the time comes!
this episode of mario's quest reminded me a lot of Luigi's mansión in fact. this is my favorite espisode
5:30 i laughed so hard at this part when i was young
Even 1:32 but is my favorite

I know :/
I love these videos! The ideas are creative, the adventures are exciting and fun, and the sets are so well crafted!
Bravo goomzilla, and thank you for shaping my childhood. 😊
Yes, but I'm going back today :) so it will finish uploading when I'm gone!
The other one had a massive head - it didn't look enough like Peach really.
I love the amount of references you have in your videos.
They were prizes at a theme park, but you can find similar ones on eBay.
Goomzila you are the best! By the way, had a good christmas?

3:24 that effect with the boo was cool.

Mario and Luigi's house, I believe
That was awesome! You and Stachebros are the best Mario plush channels on RUclips!
Could everybody please read the description for updates about Part 6!

It's the "Mansion Exterior" music from Luigi's Mansion. All the music is in the description if you're looking for more too.
La partie 6 sera le fin de cette histoire "Mario's Quest". Je suis content que vous vous plaisez dans la série!
I've been at uni so I've had no chance to start it until just recently. It's being made right now, but it still takes a long time. I can smell my childhood😍
Great job on this one!
I really want a game of mario with this story this videos was my childhood :'D
I remember watching these good old memories
To everyone: Part 6 will be ready in December, probably somewhere between the 15th and 20th. I'm currently at university and won't be back to work on the next video until December, so that's the reason for the delay. get real
I love the mystery-solving part 4 and this part for the Luigi's Mansion theme.
I can't wait for part 6!
6 years and this is still awesome
this is so cool
They're meant to look like E.Gadd's glasses - E.Gadd is the creator of the original Poltergust 3000 and Gameboy Horror from Luigi's Mansion, so we thought it would be a good idea to reference him (this was my sister's idea).
sound effects from luigis mansion and design with the vacuum like the polter gust at 2 47
Truly the best videos I have ever watched when I was younger
1:32 how did you make everything suck inwards bro? That's sick!! Oh and what do you use to edit? I think I need to know. Well, yeah, of course I need to know.
The floor beneath the sheet is cardboard with a hole in it! And I use CyberLink PowerDirector.
Oh! Thank you! I never though you'd reply but, thanks! That's really thoughtful. And once again, thanks! :D
And by the way, keep up the good work with Plush Films!
(again)*
In Luigi's Quest, he needs Mario because it's Mario's power that is being transferred to Peach. He wants to give her the power of Mario.
Thanks! *(Again.)
I have been searching for like 2 years for this channel and found it again! the second best plushie channel!
CosmicManticore What's the first best plush channel?
Hieu Le To be onest i think no i know SuperMarioLogan i just love his humor

Omg it works it totally works, the like button works
They're from the original Mario games, such as the Mario and Luigi series - there's a link in the description to a website where you can find them.
1:32 Lugi looks cute
I remember watching this as a little kid brings back good memories
