Those magnificent beasts you’re playing remind me of the mid 90s Irish Cultural Centre(s). I felt at home living in Cricklewood, not too far from Willesden, more so than any place I’ve ever lived since. If I were to ever take it upon myself to grace the lands of Crusheen, County Clare, God Almighty, the locals would have a heart attack thinking they’d seen an apparition of Brendan Mulkere. That’s a kind of a song in itself… themes of an illegitimate son etc… I saw him face-to-face after 13 years at the Churchill Arms in Kensington, where he proudly introduced me to “the crowd” (as he referred to them) and we all got absolutely sloshed. He was wearing, more or less, the same kind of get up as I remembered as a child i.e. a black polo-neck, jacket (waistcoat 🤣) and trousers. I’m going to hazard a guess and say it was the same outfit he wore on TV.
An awesome sweet fiddle player this lass is, lovely stuff Claire, not forgetting sinead , much appreciated to hear it done beautifully ❤️🇮🇪🇮🇪☘️☘️👏👏👏👏👏👏
I had lessons with Brendan back in Queen’s Park, London in the late 80s, he was a kind and lovely man and a genius at his art. Condolences to his family.
This rendition restores ones faith in traditional Irish music. No affectations, exhibitionism or egos on display. Good music played well with subtlety, confidence and aplomb. There is hope!
When someone can make beautiful music and make it look like they're just sitting there enjoying the music also ,,, that is the mark of a person that truly loves what they do !!! Thank You so much for sharing this !!
@@jamesdolan4042 I think it is because my ear tells me. But I could be wrong off course. Which is why I used a question mark hoping someone with better hearing than me could give a definitive answer. Love the music though this is not me trying to find fault.

TG4 have to be congratulated on airing music as beautiful as this, these sisters are out of this world.🌎
‘’….out of this world ‘’…no, they’re just down the road; I was chattin’ with one of them outside SuperValu recently 😊

Nice,
but I think as a waltz , I would find it had to dance to.
Fiddle out of tune?
How do you know? I am not so sure they would risk it on TG4 if it were out of tune.

Not out of tune at all :)
