Love the fact that you include older women in the pictures. It’s very rare to include them when we talk about fashion.

Yes! I also love that models of all shapes, sizes, and colors are included. It's not just young, stick thin Caucasian women who are interested in fashion and style.

I’m going through makeover from the inside out. Your videos are teaching me so much about dressing. I’ve neglected myself during a toxic relationship and my wardrobe had reflected that! Now I’m able to dress myself better and have confidence in myself. I never realized how much our wardrobes reflected what’s going on inside. Thank you for sharing your videos

I've been through that as well; I do understand what you mean. I also changed my style, invested in myself, finally without sb commenting at even the smallest expense I made. It is hard to shift to the new mindset, I still work on it, but it is my life and nobody will decide for me how I live it.
Wish you all the best in your new chapter of life!

I appreciate that you have younger/older women in the pictures, women of various races and ethnicities. Thank you for that! I wonder, though, if you could also consider adding women of different shapes and sizes in the pictures. In a video like this one where you discuss going with our own features, where we’re sharp vs. soft, but all the pictures are of thin women - no large breasts, no super wide hips, no tummies, etc. - it still feels hard to see what I would accentuate. I totally love this tip in general, because what I notice when I see well-dressed, stylish women of other shapes is how comfortable they are in their skin and clothing choices - but I don’t know how to replicate that myself. (When does flowy become baggy/shapeless? better to cover hips or tummy, A-line or drop waist, etc. Who does high waisted help - most of us?)
Maybe it’s that some of those women have those features, they just style it well :), but then calling that out would help. Thanks for being open to the suggestion!

I have a longer torso/arms compared to my shorter legs and I’ve found that I actually love the way a mid-to-somewhat low-ish rise pant + long oversized sleeves look on me. It mimics the shapes and lines already in my body, so it actually looks more harmonious to accentuate that contrast rather than dressing to “disguise” it!

I'm 5'7" and have a long torso and shorter legs. I have always felt I looked best in fitted tees (when I could find them long enough!) and low-rise, bootcut jeans, even though traditional style rules indicate that I should wear a higher rise jean and tuck my shirts.

I've been reworking my style for the past year, and this is some of the best advice I've seen to date. I've struggled to define my style, and no Pinterest or vision board seemed to nail it. Now I realize that it's because that's not me in the clothes. Thank you, Audrey, for reminding me to look at myself and trust what's right for me!

Also, I bought a really cute, uniquely- shaped handmade purse from a mountain village Moon Festival in Taiwan when I taught English there. I had stepped out of my comfort zone, but the thing "spoke" to me so I bought it. However, since I never got any compliments on it and a couple people saying it was "interesting" & "kinda weird," I stopped wearing it and it got thrown in our "bag of bags." Totally pulling that cutie back out. Thank you for your encouragement to be myself!!!

Hello Audrey! Might you consider doing a longer video about your process of finding the right silhouette and proportions for you (i.e. the boxier shirts to mimic your short torso/long legs for your petite frame)? (I don't mean Kibbe body typing.) I have followed your style evolution on RUclips for the past few years. More than any other tweaks you made in recent years, it's been a real game-changer for you and I wonder if your process might help me. Thank you!

I experimented with hair and makeup when I was younger but I feel like it really isn't something I enjoy anymore. Instead I embrace looking "the same" everyday.
I like my hair completely natural and I always wear it down because it makes me happy.
I also like my makeup simple and minimal and I feel it just really works for me.
I don't follow trends, I just want to look like myself, which I also feel is an essential part of my personal style.

My fun style hack as it were is vintage earrings. Pretty much all my earrings are vintage and I also wear BIG earrings even if they are not on trend. My earrings are colorful and fun and really change the look of what I wear. The hair idea is really something I should try although I have a pixie cut there should be ways to change it up. Something new for me is wearing scarves on my head. It’s very vintage I know but it does change up my look. I too am short waisted and have always tried to camouflage it. I think I will embrace it more after watching your video. Especially since I love vintage style pants which are usually high waisted. ❤️

As an inverted triangle I think I look like a football player and do everything to minimize it, v necks, dark colors-the only thing I can think of is- in my teens (when we're free and could really care less) I liked tube tops lol- broad shoulders out and on full display for the world without a care in some fluorescent-colored tiny band of a garment.

While I do like that look, I’m sad I ‘can’t’ wear peddle pushers because it will accentuate my hips. But you inspired me to accept that my hips are uniquely me and I don’t always need to hid or balance them. Thank you for such nice information, I have a question, when you're 5'1 and a bit overweight basically in your belly, what's the best way to look taller and slimmer? Love your tips and your soft calm voice.

I love these concepts but I have a hard time looking at my shape objectively. In terms of knowing how to determine the right style. I tend to buy pieces because I like the way they look but don’t know how to choose them and style them to flatter my shape.

Have you tried learning about the Kibbe body typing system or similar systems? I’ve been so amazed at how beautiful it makes every woman feel. I’ve learned that it’s less about shape (apple, pear, etc.) and more about the energy your bone structure produces. I’ve just been so set free and I see every single woman as even more beautiful now.

Maybe start by looking at what you wear often? It will help you recognize what you like to wear

I have spent decades trying to fit myself into various body typing and coloring systems. They can be helpful when it comes to noticing natural body shapes. But I think the "answer" is in your closet. What do you love wearing? What necklines, silhouettes, colors? What outfit when you wear it is the most "you"?

@@KerraBolton Yes. This is perhaps even more effective than the Kibbe system.

@@jillianwickham31 I tried to figure out my body shape with the kibbe system but didnt manage to look at my body objectivly. one time the test said: soft-classic, another time theatrical-romantic and a third time flamboyant gamine 🙈 (I didnt do the test three times in a row but during a couple of weeks.)

Hello Audrey, I really love your videos and your sense of style is similar to mine!
if possible could you make a video about "how to style a green handbag"?? I recently got one as a gift but found myself struggling to coorperate it into my style
