Yes u can bypass it. Buy your own truck. Just saying hero. Tale care and be careful out there trailer trucking. Just to let you know i drove for 30 years with Caroline freight and Yellow freight. I retired n bought my own truck. I permanently retired in January and i RV around the country now.
2 years experience here. When I worked for a company in the winter the truck had issues to where the bunk heater kept shutting off every few hours leading me to wake up freezing in temperatures below 0 degrees. It happened so often it eventually made me too sick to drive and I didn't work at that company for long. I mean look at my experience level I may be an excellent driver but I'm not going to drive while sick/lack of focus. They seemed to laugh it off but it was horrible always waking up not being able to feel my hands. They didn't give a sh*t and I drove for them for like less than 2 months. Other companies the APU and bunk heaters actually worked...... well most of the other APU's and bunk heaters worked and when failed some companies were willing to get it fixed......... sometimes. When I was only 2 months in I had to fight tooth and nail just to get new brakes on a truck because the truck just had a hard time stopping I mean I couldn't stop the truck without using engine brake at low speeds and no matter how hard I pushed on the brakes it was just difficult to stop and they had me drive a load back to the terminal in a truck I could barely stop even though the brake pads were in spec. Most companies really don't give a sh*t about it's drivers via warranties and one company even freaked me out because they put all their drivers on life insurance.... like wtf it's been over a year since I drove for that company but still like wtf.... My grandad was a trucker and I'm very passionate about trucks but.... WOW I had no idea trucking had to do with so much more than driving a truck and having backing skills. I mean driving is just the easy part but I had no idea about all the other B.S./all of the unwanted toppings for a dish I desired so passionately. I'll always love trucks but still WOW. Like I even saw a tiger or cheetah near my truck once when I was at an empty warehouse by myself to pick up a loaded trailer like where the f*ck did a cheetah come from and it looked hungry as h.ell. So many unexpected things...... so many hidden dangers....... so I know it would take 10-20 years to really see it all but even then with so much random sh*t I don't think any one person could ever truly "see it all". I've even gotten the chance to drive through a tornado one texas night or around 3am about a year ago. In other words even with just 2 years I've seen so much and experienced so much but the most heart braking thing is how most companies truly don't give a sh*t. If I was eaten by wildlife my bl*od would be cleaned from the truck and I would likely be forgotten about.....
Unfortunately, that does not work either I have thrown every trick I have learned over the last 16 years at it and nothing works. Apparently this one cannot be bypassed.

I drove for 30 years, I grew up around trucking. Air-conditioning is a luxury for alot of years we never had ac or very good heaters. AC repair was last on any list of repairs for the truck and that boys and girls is why men were truckers and all these youngsters are just wheel holders.
@@powderriver2424check that attitude I’m not that young. I work my ass off all day regardless of weather conditions. It is nice to be comfortable when I go to relax. If I’m out of the truck securing a load and it’s 110° outside you damn well better believe I don’t want it to be 130 in my sleeper.
Yeah, there is absolutely no way to bypass it. I have tried every single trick I have learned over the last 16 years. The company has told me that it has no bypass.
You would never made it back in the 80s in trucking. Always burning up. Or always freezing. We never complained we just worked son. Yall drive freaking Cadillacs ofvtruck nowadays
I have dealt with enough misery. I just like shit to work correctly at this point. Lol and to be honest I’m not a huge fan anymore of playing a human big potato.😂😂
Yeah, but that wouldn’t solve anything i’ve run into the same crap at other companies. And I know quite a few drivers at different companies who deal with the same crap.
Not really complaining I just feel like the human version of a Baked Potato.

I have considered it and looking into my options I actually do like the company I’m at. They are pretty solid for the most part.

@@kennethmatthew3453 definitely get a lot of interesting experiences out here.
There are some great mom n pop companies left but not many. I just retired from one. I made a lot of money with them.
If u have a trlr just push in yellow or tractor knob then that is disabled..

Well explained!
Thank you for the feedback. it’s something more drivers should be talking about.

No kidding. You're just a dollar sign to them. If you die, there's plenty to replace you that day.
Unfortunately that’s pretty much it and state laws are getting more restrictive on idling.

If you put the high idle on the truck 900rpm does it still want to shut down ?
You shouldn't have to put up with that Mate
