I'm having the same issue on my B5 as my hard line and soft line are rusted together and i cant unbolt the lines. What kind of an repair kit or that hard line connection did you use, could you please share a link or something? :)
Whats the name of the metal bracket that you remove from where you cut the brake line? Mine is stuck and i want to replace it with new ones, but i dont know what to look for.
its just a brass union, its very common, many auto parts suppliers carry them, best to use FMSI brand and not online, the line is 3/16 nickel-copper, easy to bend and flare. Do not use compression fittings, its illegal on brake systems, inverted or bubble flares only
Thank you very much I have the same problem with my A6 this is going to be an easy do.
You're Welcome 😊
Köszönöm szépen ea videót nagyon hasznos volt!
Good video, Im going to change all 4 of mines pretty soon, hopefully I dont have to cut any like you did.
Good luck.
For rusty bolts, Wurth Boltex is best help. Forget CRC rustoffs etc.

From brake hose need spaner 15mm.
This way is not safe at all, do not do it this way!!!! The ends of the pipes should be flared.
This is a sketchy repair, move along.
