What’s the big deal when you receive your SSI check it goes back to the bank for mortgage.🤷🏾♀️ I’m interested if it will be an increase.
My birthday is on the 24 so I have to wait until the money is delivered
Our president of the United States is a senior citizen like me he's living a good life he don't realize what we go through I think the president of the United States and any president of the United States shared retired 67 years olde. He's not doing nothing for us sad to say.
When is the government gonna help? People on SSI supplement income because what we get 943 is just not getting it for us. Our bills are higher than what we get and people don't understand especially the government that we are suffering. I feel sorry for anybody on social security. Yes. SDI all that I just can't figure this out. How are we going to make it if things keep going higher? We can barely even afford rent.
I had to move into an assisted living facility because of Parkinson's. But I get about the same as you. I can't afford to live out in the world. And it doesn't matter if you and I have worked most of our entire life and paid into the social security system. They have determined that we should be able to pay standard household bills like rent utilities and food on what we get. Not going to happen. What do they want from us?
The government is not going to help anymore. If you need help you need to be asking your state. Like my state did. I got an $800 stimulus check from my state. The government isn't going to help and they're not obligated to. The only thing we're going to get is our pitiful little rays at the beginning of next year because of inflation. You need to make the best of what you get like I do.
@@leisawebb9949 obviously that's true. The COLA for 2025 is 2.6% That amounts to about a $23.88 raise in my social security retirement next year. What exactly am I supposed to do with that? Or the millions of beneficiaries like me?
@@leisawebb9949 when social security was signed into law, it was never meant to be a sole supportive income. But back in 2007 when the stock market dropped 2000 points in one day, 40 million retirement accounts were lost. Mostly 401ks which are based solely on stock market performance. All of a sudden social security became the only source of income for millions of Americans because they were too old to start building another retirement account. I know so many people who are spending their retirement years working because their social security doesn't put food on the table. And if you need proof of what I'm saying just go in a grocery store or Walmart and see who's working.

The frustrating part is that the checks don’t always come out every 4 weeks. In many months it’s every 5 weeks. One week may not seem much, but for the retired, an extra week is trouble

You talk about getting a payment to your social account I live in Massachusetts and it keeps going by the third and by the third and by the third, and I never see any amount of money change in my account and I supposedly collect SSI

So don't get worked up when you see the other channels say 2checks in August for SSI the check on the 30th is for September as the who song goes

That's not no big news. It's been like that for years. Whenever the first or the third fall on a weekend you always get your check the Friday before. DA!

Sick of hearing about SSI while everyone else is struggling
SSI have a bunch of draconian rules on them that you don't have. You can receive food from other people without benefit cuts. You can share rent and not have to pay half of rent and 10 bills without benefit cuts. You can work and not get cut one dollar for every two dollars earned. You can get married without a benefit cut. You can save more than 2000 without benefit cuts. There are other rules that need to be changed too. That's why you are hearing about SSI because the new SSI Commissioner is working on making changes to SSI. It would be nice if you would care about people who have to be 100 percent disabled to receive SSI.
I care about everybody effected.Equal and everyone of us struggling..should get relief.
