Thomas, as someone who makes something that requires a lot of detailed work and quality attention, how do you ensure the quality of the work of a subcontractor if the client doesnt know theyre not paying you but someone else? Ie that your reputation is held in tact, work is delivered on time etc? Or are you always open about the fact youre referring the work away to someone else?
It's IT, front-end. I was working through the agency in UpwOrk. First I have a call with the agency owner and he made me some kind of prof enterview. Then we had a call with the client where the agency owner directly said that I would do the work. We discussed the requirements from the client, than I made some estimates for the tasks -> client approved it and I started the work. Upwork created a common chat for the three of us where I asked all futher questions.
See thats why i left college too. I was a business major i learned so much on my own than what they was giving me. Why am i in a class on how to start a biz and the teacher never started a biz 🤣
Hey bro, I would like to know if there’s a way i could get in contact with you to figure out how to start being a middle man. I have tried so many businesses lately i feel overwhelmed and dont know what to do or how to start. I would be more than happy and ready to put in whatever time and effort is needed.
lol it's who's the most lazy, the first guy is the laziest but he has the money to spend and can afford to be lazy and pay someone to do it, the middle man is actually the genius in that he is also lazy in that instead of collecting the full payment he is also too lazy so he pays the last person who actually does the job and is forced to do it because they are poor and have no real choice. So basically we are living off of the rich or those that can afford to pay others because either they themselves don't want to do it, or can't do it.
How are you preventing the client from taking your contractor? If it's something like fb ads or copywriting services, I imagine the contractor would have to have direct communication with the client to provide the service
@oliviaxx9022 well no, not scammy at all. It's a legit business model. Uber, Lyft and Doordash all use this method and thre legit. Nothing grimey about this at all
ty for the vid. So I assume you must have found some reliable people to get the job done for you? Otherwise I don't see how you could maintain your feedback with some random workers on upwork. I've seen so many dropshipping videos but barely anyone talks about issues with suppliers, what if your sources suddenly weren't available you can't just go pick out another one randomly because there is a risk of unreliability...
Thanks. This is very interesting. But your reputation for the quality of work delivered is totally upon someone else...? Upwork seems to be a sea of many deliverers of poor quality, unreliability, poor understanding, poor communication, etc..
Hey thomas! Just a simple question... Can we charge a flat rate even though we have an hourly-charge concept? For eg. You mentioned your hourly charge is 15$/hour and let's assume, you quote a specific client 300$ for a project. Doesn't the client ask you why it takes 20 hrs(300$/15) for the project?
Hey Thomas. Quick question, if you do a call with your clients, how do you handle them asking you question about the work you will be doing? If you're middleman with no knowledge, surely there are questions you can't answer? Would be good to understand how you process working using this model! Thanks
First you learn and gain knowledge and then wing your way through it. Many of these guys go through it until it becomes second nature for them. Once you gain the experience, you're a professional. We all have to start somewhere.
portfolio or share snippets of previous work. You've got to contact as many people as possible, every single day. Once you land a client, do not stop, always browse for new clients. To convince a client, you need to sound sure of yourself, cut to the chase. I think the most important aspects of landing a client is to be able to communicate that you are 1) a good communicator 2) willing to fix any errors you make 3) will be able to handle challenging tasks 4) diligent 5) easy to work with. If you are able to give these messages without stating them, but discretely suggesting them in your proposals, then there is a higher chance of landing a client. I think the most important aspect is that you should be affordable, easy to work with, and a good communicator. Also, I suggest learning about your trade. You should be able to understand what the client is requesting and should be able to polish the work that is completed by the third party. I suggest picking something you have some knowledge on.
make your thumbnaills better like all them other guys do when they make a video talking about money more views bro i understand your not really interested in the yt money but dont let that go to waste when you already have an audience and potential to grow !!!! keep working
Whether or not you are in fact calculating your dollars earned per hour or not your still participating in it regardless. If your entire goal is purely to make money then the most efficient way to calculate your gains is by measuring your dollar earned per hour. If you have a better way to measure your income plz tell me. Your examples are bad to me even from a simplistic point of view. Your acting like the time spent finding the customer who needs the milk doesn't matter or the time it takes finding the person to go get the milk doesn't matter. The simple fact is anyone can go get a job working 15$ an hour and they are getting 15$ 100% guaranteed every hour. That is going to be hard to beat just in general and figuring that out is the hardest part. I understand things such as passive income exist which doesn't exactly calculate your dollars earned per hour. I suppose you could calculate your time spent vs the reward and would give you an idea. Even if you spent weeks to make 1 big sale for say 10k you can still calculate your $$$ per hour , hell you can even calculate your EV of dollar per hour before you even do the job. I just don't understand your logic of not thinking about your time in a dollar per hour way. Maybe you could explain it a little better.
I know it may be covered in your course, but do you hire out the same few freelancers for the jobs you take on, or are you constantly searching for new ones to fulfill orders that you come across?
best REMINDER among all smma ive watched you have to have value as a middleman you have to have good system/process/structure/prices/package the reason why uber works its not because their a good middleman its because they provide value and they have good systems that make things convenient not just for the customer/employee but also the driver/client the driver & customer need uber

He said it in the video. He is not actually doing any of the work, so no hours are measured. As he gets a new job from a client, he hands that off to another freelancer to complete the work. So essentially, he can have unlimited jobs being handled for unlimited clients at any point in time because the work is outsourced. The hourly rate he has on upwork is irrelevant.
On Upwork, you do need some money to 1) contact clients 2) pay the third party - the person you delegated for the task. You need money to purchase Upwork tokens called connects which allows you to submit proposals. Once you land the client, if you want to outsource the work, then you should be able to afford that freelancer. This would be the case if you are getting paid after the project is done.

pretty smart - wonder how long until it’s the next online courses grift
You are a very efficient young man taking a laptop and a little imagination. Much more success
See thats why i left college too. I was a business major i learned so much on my own than what they was giving me. Why am i in a class on how to start a biz and the teacher never started a biz 🤣
I dropped out 2 days after
So as I understand it, upwork is essentially taking the place of cold calling? It's bringing the customer to you, rather than vice versa?
Yup, I like to call it warm calling
Like he said, it's warm calling. You're specifically seeking out a certain group.
Hey bro, I would like to know if there’s a way i could get in contact with you to figure out how to start being a middle man. I have tried so many businesses lately i feel overwhelmed and dont know what to do or how to start. I would be more than happy and ready to put in whatever time and effort is needed.
Your channel is growing so fast!!!
I don't like to think about it 😅
lol it's who's the most lazy, the first guy is the laziest but he has the money to spend and can afford to be lazy and pay someone to do it, the middle man is actually the genius in that he is also lazy in that instead of collecting the full payment he is also too lazy so he pays the last person who actually does the job and is forced to do it because they are poor and have no real choice. So basically we are living off of the rich or those that can afford to pay others because either they themselves don't want to do it, or can't do it.
He's actually managing too!
@@YogaBlissDance Yes. He's actually skilled in reality.
Welcome to how the world works!
His mom was right!
The "rich" pay other people to do things because their time is worth way more per hour than it costs to hire it out. Time=Money
woah how did you find out about this strategy? i'm going to sign up for upwork NOW!
Thanks for this video!!!
How are you preventing the client from taking your contractor? If it's something like fb ads or copywriting services, I imagine the contractor would have to have direct communication with the client to provide the service
yeah this is definitely…. scammy and grimey
@oliviaxx9022 well no, not scammy at all. It's a legit business model. Uber, Lyft and Doordash all use this method and thre legit. Nothing grimey about this at all
If you're providing value, you don't need to worry about that cause both sides need you
@oliviaxx9022 definitely not, uber, doordash and lyft does it. It's a proven business model
@@oliviaxx9022 this is not scammy at all. Business need middle man , even in real estate. Is called wholesale
ty for the vid.
This isn't dropshipping, that is risky...esp now that its' super competitive.
I am actually watching all your videos lol
Would you be willing to provide the same presentation you showed on the video for us to view and analyze on our own time ?
Like without just watching your video?
Hey man, I just saw your video and you inspired me to start an Upwork account, any tip on how to get your first customer to get the ball rolling?
He wants you to pay him $100/month for the answer. 😂
Where to find clients
Thanks. This is very interesting. But your reputation for the quality of work delivered is totally upon someone else...? Upwork seems to be a sea of many deliverers of poor quality, unreliability, poor understanding, poor communication, etc..
This is actually the basics of freight brokering in the trucking industry scaled down. Huh?
many biz do this.
this is amaing thanks for sharing. what does it take to be a good middleman?
Yes and yes
Thumbs up if you think Tomas stole this from Montell Gordon?
hold on hold on, your a middleman for people on a website that is a middleman?
🤯
Middle mans make life easier. That’s why it’s profitable both sides 🤯
Yeah, it's like an extra unnecessary layer. There are essentially TWO middlemen.
@@ghostwalker89 Totally agree! You should know what your trade is. Enough to sell.
bro but say I'm drop servicing web dev and I have no idea about it, how would I convince a client
portfolio or share snippets of previous work. I suggest picking something you have some knowledge on.
what is black white screen show step by step only to sell course
Great explanation - love the videos man
make your thumbnaills better like all them other guys do when they make a video talking about money more views bro i understand your not really interested in the yt money but dont let that go to waste when you already have an audience and potential to grow !!!! keep working
there is no need to conform.
Where is the proof that u make all that money in a month???
you wouldn't know it, he uses another bank
Did i Must Proof my skills on Upwork to looking a Job as a freelancer ?

Great explanation. The analogy is so apt, clear and effective!
Bro pulled an Iman gahdzi lmaoooo
yo...your channel is gonna blow tf up man. you are amazin
You're upwork on upwork. 🙂
Maybe this is just ads word upwork?
So upwork is the only accusation channel you have to acquire customers?
yup
Drop servicing?
The same freelancers
@@ThomasImHi Thomaslm. Please how do I apply to become one of your freelancers?. I am a UI/UX Designer and I'd like to work with you.
best REMINDER among all smma ive watched
you have to have value as a middleman
you have to have good system/process/structure/prices/package
the reason why uber works its not because their a good middleman its because they provide value and they have good systems that make things convenient not just for the customer/employee but also the driver/client
the driver & customer need uber
Do you find client first or the people who fulfill the service first?
Without a client then there is no service to fulfil, hope that answers your question.
its dropservicing
wow! amazing
Thank you Thomas. You never answered us a question, who does graphic design for you? You outsource it? You said that your knowledge and skillset in graphic design is limited. Do you outsource it on Fiverr or use Canva or ?
Why would he give you his sources? He is giving you the business model, you have to put in the effort to create your own business. If he gave you everything including his sources you could just copy his business and be his direct competition.
@@1738gabe Habibi, I am not asking him to reveal who his middle men are. I am just asking him to let us know whether or not he outsources graphic design tasks or he does them himself. He said that he only has a laptop and a simple gear in his room and that anyone can do what he does. So, social media management requires a ton of uploads .. from posts, pics to various things .. so, he must be having an assistant or he is a graphic designer himself.
@@dinorossi6611 he outsources it using upwork. he uses upwork to find the clients as well as the people to do the work for him. he's just being the "middleman"
I know you mentioned having used upwork itself to hire people to do the service delivery, is upwork the only thing you use or is there something better and cheaper to create a good margin as the middle man? I would think it's sort of tough to find someone to do the services for you as a reasonable price
There probably are other sites, but I use upwork. It's not tough at all
@@ThomasIm i know you probably have this in your course, but would you maybe be able to make a video on this? Like do a thing where you make the job app and show how you go about finding someone at a good price and then the common mistakes to avoid while doing this
I did enjoy Thomas. Keep being real

Don't fall for the scam people.

Explain how it’s a scam
great video sir
Actually you're the one who opened my mind into this business and everyday when I fell like I'm going to fail or I don't want to search and try I remember you and come to watch one of your videos I don't know but I think all the people in RUclips trying to sell me something or scam me except you and I guess it's because I was like you I was a Fortnite kid and I was addicted to it and now I'm trying to addict to the work because of you so thank you so much
What value can you give to these clients??? and the freelancers too???
The clients will get the product want on a timely manner . The freelancer gets exposure and money.
BRO, YOU SPILLED THE SECRETS. FOR FREE.
I've been coming across a lot of insider secrets lately. Shiii I'll take this one too 🤑
Do you use dual monitors ?
hey sir can i edit for you?
Not much to edit
Hm I'm confused how u make 100k? Cuz I saw ur upwork ur rate is at 18/hr and at even 60h work week that's like a bit more than 50k
He said it in the video. He is not actually doing any of the work, so no hours are measured. As he gets a new job from a client, he hands that off to another freelancer to complete the work. So essentially, he can have unlimited jobs being handled for unlimited clients at any point in time because the work is outsourced. The hourly rate he has on upwork is irrelevant.
do you hire from fiver or somewhere else for the freelancer?
Just upwork
But you can use fiverr if you see someone who's a good fit
@@ThomasIm great. but will there be any problem if I do jobs + hire on upwork for that or that's okay with terms and services.
So dropshipping...
Awesomeness. What is your profit?
Do I need money to start this business?
On Upwork, you do need some money to 1) contact clients 2) pay the third party - the person you delegated for the task. You need money to purchase Upwork tokens called connects which allows you to submit proposals. Once you land the client, if you want to outsource the work, then you should be able to afford that freelancer. This would be the case if you are getting paid after the project is done.
