It took her 8 months but when she finally agreed it did give me a level of closure I couldn't get by text, which I wish I had 8 months earlier, and I can only see ghosting as being far worse. The only reason people end relationships like that are either to punish the other person, which is fair enough if they did something seriously bad, or because they're a coward who can't face emotions of other people because it makes them uncomfortable.

If you’re ghosting somebody you don’t need closure and you don’t care about the other person.

Closure is a lie. Nobody is going to be honest, it just ends up making you worse off in your other relationships.
