- My skin has recently become pretty sensitive to natural rubber and I haven't been able to wear the outstanding Victorinox Maverick. Today we take care of that, because I was able to track down an original stainless steel Victorinox bracelet which we swap the natural rubber strap for.

The watch looks great with the new bracelet. Good job with the video, i like how you talk in a calm voice that suits the type of review. I don't like people yelling in my hear while they show their timepieces.
As Popeye might say, I am what I am and that's all that I am. Never been much for yelling, got all that out of my system back in my military days.
Those rubber straps are very expensive too - $135.00 from Victorinox in Canada! I am on my third black rubber strap for a black Maverick that I have owned for about ten years. The problem, as you mentioned, is that the keepers are so tight you wind up damaging the strap or the keeper, or both, getting the watch off and on. One trick is to wet the male end of the strap before you put it on. This makes it slide through the keepers more easily.
BTW, I really prefer the look of the new bracelet on your watch!
That looks amazing, honestly I think it looks way better than the rubber strap.
Thank you. I'm really happy with it. It's amazing how it completely changes the emotion of the piece.
But pretty flashy! Makes you a target for muggers...
How much for the green rubber strap? Willing to buy at a good price
I have this watch but i can see the color getting kinda tarnished on the stainless steel strap its not more than two years
Are u facing the same issue?
The gold color plating is getting darker actually
Looks perfect like it was made for it.
It was. I sourced to model number from Victorinox and bought an original.
Lots cheaper to buy the watch WITH the steel/gold band and THEN add a nylon band for daily use.
where did you buy the strap
Is the Maverick much better watch than the Casio Duro you have? Which one do you like/wear more?
The Maverick is better quality, nicer finish and such. But the price point is higher so expected. Nothing wrong with the duro though. It's great at its price point.
@@JustaSecond Thanks, did you find the Maverick less readable than the Duro? It seems the 3 and 9 and the indices get lost in certain angles.
Hey can you tell the website from where you got the strap? I'm looking for one.
That’s a very cool looking watch! Thanks for another great video!
Thank you for watching!
Why did you cut out the part where the strap is actually attached? Spent all that time talking about it and then you SKIP IT! Then you do the same for sizing the band! What's up with that? The bad thing about the gold on steel is it WILL wear off; vinegar can dissolve it too. Muriatic acid too; used by bricklayers, so don't wear it out when laying bricks!
In short, the gold on the band is too flashy which makes a person a target for muggers!
I'm going to take mine off, and install a NATO nylon black band.
Can you include a link for the metal band that can be purchased?
It's amazing what people become allergic to. I seen this one guy that came into the jail that was allergic to stainless steel. He was arrested in Salt Lake City Utah and extradited to Coastal North Carolina he was red from the stainless steel handcuffs in the stainless steel bench in the van that he was transported.
Man that sucks to be him. Stainless steel is what hospitals use as non-allergenic.
just to be sure... you can't wear natural rubber right?
Correct. Silicon doesn't bother me at this time. Steel, leather, and that Casio plastic resin are also no problem.
I absolutely love the look of that watch. Too bad about the strap.
The new bracelet is great and has it back on my wrist. I'm happy.
I’m really Diggin that watch
It's an awesome piece. Highly recommended.
What size was the bands?
Best I remember it's a 22mm.
Have a review on that orient? I have one on the way, they seem to be a lot of watch for the money.
No, sadly it's in the back log off watches to review. Spoiler, it's an outstanding piece for the money. I love it.
