- As you may know, I am a BIG fan of many of the Too Faced eyeshadow palettes and I've always felt the original "Chocolate Bar" palette was one of the best palettes of all time. So, is this new palette from Too Faced really better than that one? How does it compare to other limited edition palettes they've released in the past? Excellent comparisons! My friend, Jenifer & I watched this one together! We both commented on how great it would be if we came to CA & you did our makeup! That would be an absolute hoot!!! Great video Sharalee. The original chocolate bar palette is my favorite. The olive “candy” shade in the better than chocolate palette is so beautiful. We should petition Too Faced to create a customer favorite palette choosing our favorite shades from all their palettes. Your makeup look is stunning. Come on Fall!!! My favorite season.☺️

Hey Sharalee! I don’t know how you pulled those two beautiful looks out but you are so talented. I just don’t understand the cosmetic industry at all. They make a great formulation in a palette then change it. In my opinion if they’re going to cut corners to save money they should lower the price for the consumer. After my first ever Two Faced purchase recently (the Sweet Peach) I was so excited to see a new palette. What a disappointment.

Yes!! I totally agree! Too Faced has done some really great palettes...the Sweet Peach Palette and the mini "Let's Play" palette are among my top favorites! Hopefully they will get back on track and bring back the quality we love😘 Love & blessings to you, my friend💖

Great video! Although you were not thrilled with this palette, you did create some gorgeous looks. I had no desire to purchase this palette anyway. I bought the Cinnamon Swirl in late Fall or early winter (don't remember exactly) when it was discounted. The reviews were mixed but I really love it. Take care!

Ah, that was interesting to watch! I have to say I looove the packaging! However, that is not a reason to buy a palette anymore 😂. It needs to perform and it needs to perform well for our hard earned money. As you know I’m not into too much browns and I agree, that’s too much of the same shade. Well, darn!!!! What a disappointment, in the new Too Faced, Better Than Chocolate, eyeshadow palette. Wish these companies would stick to a formula, which has had proven success. I'll pass on this one. I'll just use my Spicy Gingerbread and Cinnamon Swirl palettes for Fall. I know, the eyeshadows perform the way I love and expect them to. Wow 😮 I bought it but I haven’t used it it’s really sad that they launched 2 prior eyeshadow palettes with pretty good warmer colors and then something sloppy I bought it because I collect them but I don’t know 🤷🏻♀️ why I missed the pumpkin 🎃 eyeshadow palette but I know that it’s discontinued 😕 maybe they pressed the shimmers too much and the quality went wrong or maybe too faced used another laboratory because it’s impossible to believe that the quality is bad when we had 2 excellent neutral eyeshadow palettes 🫡🤔 thanks for the update 👍🏻👋🏻🙋🏻♀️🙏
I don't understand how this happens either!🤷♀️ It is possible they used another lab to formulate the shadows or just got in a hurry to release it before thoroughly testing it. The company was recently sold so perhaps there was some quality control that didn't happen. You'll have to let me know what you think of it after you try it out😘 There are some very workable shades but they could have done better!

A fascinating, thorough review - thank you so much! 💖 The moment you opened the new palette I must confess I felt some relief as this is NOT a palette I need to covet! Really underwhelming! (And that blue 😱) I have the Pumpkin palette which I absolutely love. 😍 I also have the Cinnamon Swirl which I know wasn't that popular but I liked it as I'm very fair and found the lighter shades really good for my skin tone. 💓 Like you, looking forward to autumn! 🍂🍁🍂 Second heatwave about to hit drought-striken London (yes, really - no rain for a year now!) Hi Sharalee…. Love the eye look with that greenish color but I see what you mean about the palette with too much brown in it and not enough bendable colors. I would use that blue with that olive green or that purple!! Love the gold! I might try this palette. Don’t forget you do a heavy eye plus very dark eye outer edge, for a normal eye wear I think this palette might be good. I use their Eye-brownie eye pencil, smells like chocolate, I’ve used for years, it’s the best, has an angled tip!

I'm not hearing good reviews on this palette, was hoping it would be as good as Cinnamon Swirl which I love. I was at Sephora this week and was hoping I could see it in person but they didn't have it, so I may try Ulta. I want to see it before I buy it, and maybe only if it's on sale. I don't like returning make up since they just destroy the product, so I make sure it's something I'll use before I buy. Good review.
I can forgive to face for a lot of their shortcomings because I’m a sucker for their packaging and their scented products… But what really irks me, is some of their color names absolutely do not match… Like the only light shade in the pallet is called milk it, and everyone knows milk to be creamy and opaque. so that would indicate a mat or at least cream, right? even some of the names that have nothing to do with color, make more sense than that! and sometimes I don’t mind that colors aren’t super pigmented because you can do a quick really light, daytime one and done look… Dress it up with some eyeliner and mascara and it’s fine.… I almost wanna get this pallet just for the olive green and that sheer blue shade… Oh, and does it smell like chocolate?? At least similar to the other chocolate bar palette? Thank you for your review I really enjoy your demonstration of different looks as well! :-)
I love both looks but initially when you opened the palette I thought woah…what’s happening here? Lol. It seemed chaotic to me. I appreciate your honest review and definitely don’t need to buy this one 😂.
Oh my goodness, yes!! "Chaotic" is the perfect word for it and I never feel inspired with palettes like that!😂😘

What mascara do you use? I can never find it.
My current favorite combination is the Diorshow Maximizer 3D Primer + IT Cosmetics Superhero mascara. Then, because my lower lashes smudge with almost all mascaras, I use a tubing mascara on the lower lashes from Caliray or the Maybelline Snapscara😍
How and why do you choose the colors to apply to the areas of the eyelids?

Thank you for showing the old chocolate palette. I had thrown mine away during a declutter and wish I kept it for memories! I bought the palette with an ulta platinum members coupon so I got it cheaper honestly, its ok if you don't want so much color or to wear to work but the fact I had to keep dipping into the shades it's going to run out fast. Come on Too Faced you're not lazy you can do better. They could have done a chocolate caramel palette with oranges, reds and browns with shimmers. .The way it's going I give too faced 5 years max. The problem with Too faced, smashbox, urban decay, and makeup geek is that they couldn't keep up with other big brands and indie brands that were keeping up with trends and demands from consumers and just tried sticking to the same thing over and over again. Even indie brands like Colourpop have come out with more at a fraction of the price (except for when they're releasing the same palette colors over and over). Then Fenty came out and blew other brands out the water with their HUGE inclusive foundation shades. If they can't keep up they're going to suffer the same fate as Becca did
