Thanks for uploading. Can't really go to twitch much when you stream, but I've watched a lot of your vids of the past year or so. Helps me get better. I guess I play 70% of my games as the Silent, but A20 is really hard. I fail most runs. These videos help me. Also you are calm. I like calm people. Keep it up sir.
4:08 Discussion about the first thousand cuts. I like that how last time, when jorbs, baalorlord, and terrance were on high streak, baalorlord convinced jorbs to take dark embrace in the early floors of act 1, and now after baalorlord and jorbs' discussion after baalorlord's ridiculously high streak, jorbs has convinced baalorlord to take thousand cuts in the early floors of act 1. slightly awkward scaling cards for the win
@@art-cs6us rounded down how? It debuffs for -6 strength. Thanks for trying to get me to understand this, but I dont. Also @baalorlord is really good explaining stuff during hes runs but not this time which makes me think this is something i should know about but I dont :(
Your content is awesome! Something I noticed - you could take advantage of monkey paw a lot more if you changed the order of your draw cards and power cards. Lots of instances where you can get more energy and play more cards.
I noticed him playing thousand cuts before after image even after mummy hand and wondered why; now that I think abt it, it was probably to get that extra 2 damage in
Valid question, this card usually does very poorly against Time Eater specifically, so you don't want to overflow your deck with them when you know you're about to fight her
It's still draw negative so too many you end up with dead hands (draw it into you hand (-1), play it for draw 1 discard 1 (+1,-1) collectively = -1). Say you draw 3 of them in one hand you're only getting to play 2 real cards that turn without other synergy. They're great if you have draw cards (acrobatics/backflip/reflex) and can generate energy through discard (Tactician/flying kite). His deck wasn't great at card draw till late in the run and he was offered them earlier.
IMO the timeeater isnt even the main reason for why prepared can be bad. The Chosen is. Prepared is fundamentally -1 draw. But with the Chosen's debuff it is -2 draw (this can be completely back breaking, potentially run losing). And you encounter this enemy much earlier than time eater and potentially more than once. You can even prepare for the time eater throughout act 3. So in my opinion the chosen is a better argument against picking prepared in act 1 or early in act 2.

"yes we're on a loss streak - can we make it to 5, that is the question" that made me laugh
sad to see he didn't make it 😢
what a way to lose a beautiful streak
"We got a ..uuhm...well....we got a....argh.... we got 30 gold. "
That comment was gold too.
Glad to hear you mentioned frost prime for the ascension+ mod, I actually started watching these vods because he mentioned you in a video a while back
at 53:20 the vid qualety drops to potato levels does anybody else also have that problem?
i skiped ahead and at 56:23 its fine again its 1080 again
I thought it was my internet connection dropping to a crappy bitrate because of connection issues.
That accuracy+ at the shop in A2 without a single shiv all run was perfect spire luck. Wonderful video as always.
This was the best STS run i have ever seen, thank you!
This run really wants to give you a Sneaky Strike.

"By Grabthar's Hammer..."
ETA: He actually says it 🤣
How did that Piercing Wail make the attack go from 10x2 to 1x2 around 29:30 into the vid?
It was 7x2
@@B4K4157 haha yes it was! What an absolute brain fart from my end!
@@B4K4157 no its not! It's 10x2 around 29:38. I got the time wrong last time. Or am I missing something here?
@@abbeb734 vulnerable makes things kinda weird. And it rounded down I believe as well.

Very nice indeed, seeing when to play what. Don't think I could have passed up that last fumes, would that have been the death of me perhaps?
Would love to see more of the downfall mod
Man do I love that card, wish it was more useful/less situational

if prepared is a 0 cost card that allows you to draw into cards like blade dance and synergies with thousand cuts, why wouldn't you take them?

Also it needs to be upgraded to cycle your Deck at all.

as soon as i saw time eater on the map i thought we were fucked. by far my least favorite boss to fight
That was some serious open heart surgery
Heart attack lol
I kind of get why you do it, but playing bad on purpose to make the runs more interesting is offputting to me (Thousand Cuts vs Alchemize & remove)
