In Sweden we call these "zorro" goals for some reason. Nice to see some Swedish players in there. Höglander is the king of those. In my hometown's team we also had a player who scored at least three of those, in the same season as well, I think. That player did get really popular here lol. We're in the third league of Sweden though so nothing that's going to be on clips like this, but still something you'll remember. Nice compilations by the way.
Isn't a Zorro when you pick it up on to the stick on a breakaway/shootout and throw it in (usually after doing a couple of in air dangles or a spin move)
That San Diego Gulls radio play-by-play guy lost his mind lmao
ya he needed to chill out
cant blame him
Svechnikov's second one against the jets is just an absolute chef's kiss
IM here for Höglander lol
Mike legg Is my aaa coach now lol I'm a goalie and he's done it ok me a few times lol
The goalie (Steve Debus) is also a hockey coach.
Ay yo he’s my dads friend
That’s awesome
Here’s another amazing goal from Legger...ruclips.net/video/76XFPuTVLNo/видео.html

Michigan helmets are legit. Surprised other hockey/NHL teams haven't adopted football/NFL style customization of their helmets.
Golden knights Las Vegas and Kings of Los Angeles
The Michigan is still nice because it was just so unexpected and amazing to watch.
That Kossila call was awesome hahaha
The best one was from hoglander
yes
Really? I thought his was the most telegraphed of all of them. The others were tough but the tendy definitely should've stopped that one. You can see him start to push down and put a huge flex in the stick before he even approaches the goal from the right side, then carries it to the other side.
Is that what makes it the best? Because it was carried the longest? Or is it because he's a junior player? I would think the quicker and more subtle moves are more effective in game.
@@MrHookernugget bruh his was quick and tougher to score
@@MrHookernugget he did it seamlessly at a high speed while covering a lot of ice. I think that's the hardest part about it. don't know how "carrying it longer" makes it less impressive. and he didn't carry it longer if you would actually watch the film you'd notice he does it about just as fast as the others, if not faster. like what are you even talking about? there's nothing more effective than a puck in the net.
Yeah he was the only one who truly flipped it up how you’re supposed to.
How is höglanders lacrosse goal in the shl vs Djurgården not in the video🤯
Idk
Ja vet inte
Han har antagligen inte koll på shl
@@gustavolsson7973 nej troligtvis inte. Men det va snyggt de mot Djurgården
lmfao if i saw Jesus Christ himself and he gave me a personal invitation to heaven i wouldn’t react as strongly as the San Diego announcer. jeez man take a chill pill 😂

3:33 is no1 gonna talk about how Smith predicted the michigan move and put his glove high to try to stop it. Unlucky but 200 IQ!
Granlund! In the semifinal game against Russia. 19 years old.
Höglander is 18 when he did it th e first time
@@SuRgE_Decay but not in menst tournament semifinal
@@lauri8996 in world juniors so yeah he did
@@SuRgE_Decay but still not in semifinal of mens tournament...
@@limalompakko2578 Höglander scored to in men’s league that were probably the top 2 ones of the whole video (one wasn’t in video but he banked it off the net then did it) so, when u have that much space in a semifinal “men’s game” then it’s not that hard
6:09 Dude he need to chill it's just a lacrosse goal 🤣
Imagine they do that in esports games...
Lol
GG’s in that HUT rush game 😂
Where is Sidney Crosby scoring with the lacrosse in the QMJHL with the Oceanic?
Höglander is the best!
Jordan Fry absolute steal for the Canucks
Uessir

Nope
It's against Finland so it's automatically the best ;)
Originally scored by the University of Michigan's Mike Legg, The Michigan is a very rare highlight goal in which a player lifts a puck with a stick & then tucks in from behind the net. Wickedsick!
That last one without a doubt was the nicest one pulled off
Finally, a Preds fan!!
Cross Hanas (Portland Winterhawks) scored 2 in the 19-20 season in the WHL. He is now a Detroit Red Wings prospect. Look those up.
Could you do players and coaches reactions to incredible saves?
I don’t think people realise how many finns are in this video..

Thanks!!!
I'd say these goals should be kept in the nhl/international play, IF THEY DON'T CONNECT WITH THE GOALTENDER. You saw on both Svechnikov goals that he DID contact the goalie.. Rittich was clearly a high stick/slash against the goalie's mask, the 2nd one you could make an argument that he ;slashed/poked; Hellebuyck, but imo much cleaner. Forsberg's was absolutely incredible, did it while striding and was a half second after picking it up and it was in the net.
Can you do a video of players doing the same exact thing at the same exact time?
Fun fact: on 5:43 you can see that #37 scores to #37.
I never knew why it was called the Michigan till now
Same!
Most legendary one is granlunds against russia
Crosby also did this with rimouski
You forgot to involve Miks Indrasis goal in KHL few years ago!!!

Original is from Granlund

I’m so happy the Canucks got hoglander😁
I liked the Michigan goal the most
Mike legg is my hockey coach
hoglander goal is the finest
McDavid just watches Forsberg pick up that puck on the lacrosse goal...
2:14 The dude behind the goal with the backwards hat sees it setting up and start smiling then explodes
Forsbergs was like backwards so its the best in my opinion
You all should watch granlunds lacrosse goal with finnish telecast
No
The best one is from SHL not in this video, but he tricks out a defender behind the goal and in the same movement hes doing it

I'm way over this
Hoglander goal was so fast
Had there been another one like this before Lake? I haye hearing it called a lacrosse move instead of something else like the "Lake Move". I did like hearing it cslled "the Michigan" in a few.
4:42
I did this in my Bantom game
The Gulls commentators are the best.
3:40 not top of the net. It hits goalie in the ribs.
Where was the soo greyhounds one?
So Granlunds goal didn't even get a replay? Everyone elses got like 5 replays

*Huntsville Channel Cats...
Forseberg version is the best.
The only way to properly perform The Michigan is to pick up the puck like in the Michigan example, or at 7:00, not like Svechnikov or Forsberg
There's no way you could doing that way in the nhl. You gotta be more slick about it

When college does it first, then chl, then nationally, then ahl, then nhl goes ok now it is is our turn and does it better than all of them.
Sid did it in the Q

Miks Indrasis?
No Kaliyev?????? Criminal
Is that y it’s called the Michigan
And me
Where’s Sidney Crosby???
Bruh he never did💀💀
13 years after the first lacrosse goal was scored it was added to the NHL games
*23 years. The first lacrosse goal was scored in 1996 and the first one added to NHL games was 2019.
It was on NHL 06
Где Шумаков?
Höglander did that in his team rögle aswell but in nhl 21 he only got 2 star handling... Nhl 21 have just put some stuff together for the SHL like almost all ratings in the league is wrong like come on its the third best League I would say NHL, KHL, SHL could be argued Schweiz League but shl is faster and more tecnical then its ahl
The Michigan one is still the best because it was the first.
Not quite the first. Bill Armstrong on the Detroit Vipers of the IHL is believed to be the first to do it. He taught Mike Legg the move.
But none of those games were televised.
And the Vipers didnt have a Sports Informaton Directo like Brian Fishman.
It was first used in Sweden. ”Zorro” is a floorball move.
@@insertnamehere1792 I know it's a floorball move. But that's a different sport. And it wasn't first used by Sweden. Send me a video of it being used before The Michigan and I'll concede.
@@Knightmessenger Same to you. Unless there is some documentation of it. Even Legg saying it on camera or to the press..... until then, No.
I'm not saying it's not possible. I'm saying that without evidence, I have no reason to believe that.
@@darthollpheist1156 it’s a different sport but it’s still the same move. And yes, it was first used in Sweden, since floorball is from Sweden.
