    This is how full the WNBA crowd should be all the time

    It is great to see the tournament and everything for the WNBA growing. Now, one day hopefully the normal games can get this crowd.
    It may not be this generation, but one day, I want Women's basketball to be appreciated.
    This part of basketball is getting there!

      That would be wonderful! Then maybe it would be promoted more and we might see them get the same level of press, pay, and endorsements the NBA gets. I think the main reason is the fan base is not HUGE enough and the league doesn't bring in nearly as much money as the NBA. I feel some of that might have to do with fan interest but more of that might have to do with the WNBA probably being shackled with regulations by the NBA that it must follow that may actually be preventing it from growing bigger in popularity than it already is. I think if the WNBA were separate from the NBA and had its own funding particularly from wealthy businesswomen up top, the league would be allowed to grow in popularity and you would see even maybe the season get lengthened a few more months, maybe not as long as the NBA but long enough that there was year around exposure for the players and maybe we would see Griner, Parker, and Schimmel on commercials for Nike and Reebok basketball shoes. You never know, man. You never know. =)

      @@jonathanakerele8006 THe NBA didn't work for free when they started. But some people came together, invested millions in promotion. I think it took them almost a decade to make a profit. Why not do that for the WNBA?

    WNBA needs this kind of crowd. This was proved by the Mystics vs Dream game. Came back from a 20 point deficit, led by Toilver and Latta, to beat the Atlanta Dream on Overtime, and it was all that is to the crowd.

    Awesome game. Skylar Diggins showed out. All of these women are pure excellence. Tamika Catchings goes hard. All of the players should take something from her. She is the silent assassin, you don't know what she is going to do, but you know she is going to do it. I love to see these women have fun, gosh with all the extras I love watching a good hustle, great plays, and a good game. This was a good game. VINTAGE

    Even though I'm not from Boston, MA. Boston desperately needs a WNBA team.

    • @Thunderheadfan5
      @Thunderheadfan5 9 лет назад +1

      David McGinnis There is one right in CT at Mohegan Sun. It's only a short drive from Boston. There is also one in NY. There are only 12 teams and large areas of the country are without a team. We are lucky to have one so close, and another a bit farther away.

    shoni is certainly an exciting player to watch but she is taking a ton of low percentage shots. Most went in during this game so good for her. For her to say to CandaceParker "I got you" was I felt disrespectful.

    To bad Shoni couldn't tame her inner demons. It was a steady downward spiral from this game on, coming to a head in June 2021. Schimmel was arrested in Oregon, and she faced felony charges of assault and criminal mischief, according to the Umatilla County sheriff's office. Schimmel, who turned 29 in May, also faced misdemeanor charges of menacing, recklessly endangering another, harassment and domestic abuse. Her bail was set at $48,750. SOURCE: ESPN
