49:55 - The beginning of the long tailspin that turned a tie game with 1:20 remaining in the 3rd quarter into an 18-point blowout. As a Maya Moore fan, I have sad memories of this game. A great series at the end of a great season - and yes, Phoenix absolutely deserved to win, no question about it .... but 7:02 without a point spanning the 3rd and 4th quarters - that was tough to swallow.
Never got into WNBA until recently but after doing some research I feel like watching it as a Mercury fan is the way to do it. Any time they beat Lynx I bet fans went crazy. Diana Taurasi had to be a fan favorite.
How did PHX go from first to worst in just one season? They had all the right pieces to repeat, to maybe even 3peat had everyone or at least the nucleus of the team stayed together.
That's the problem with Minnesota, Maya Moore carries ALL of them. If she has a bad night, regardless of her teammates scoring, the Lynx lose. It's not surprising that they only got HER trophies as soon as she was drafted.
Yes i agree because she brings many things to the team which helps her team not only in games but with pushing their plays but they have so many vets who are older, so that does slow them down a little. However, they bring lots of knowledge and brings the basic of basketball to help them score to go along with Maya's shoot. Also great head coach to push her and the rest of team like over time they have grown alot especially with fowles now on the team they have grown alot , some might say that fowles carries the team with her height and post abilities to clean up shoots.
This team was FIRE, but Taurasi ruined it by sitting out the following season. When she left, pretty much everyone did. This team could’ve easily repeated smh
@@TT-tp9hw I'm starting to beg differ from that with her attitude and just the way her sportsmanship is at 40 years old you'd think she'd let up but she a weakling for real but than again she is out for the rest of the season due to injury. But I will give her credit she knows how to win!
I don't usually watch basketball, but when I do ... Phoenix Mercury
Penny 💚

I’d disagree and one finals MVP out of four would back my argument up.

I agree and so does the goat. She says that’s her one regret in her career.
I can't believe this 2 years ago. Man time flies
Good luck both teams

Cheryl Reeve, still the better coach.... actually Minnesota still the better franchise but Taurasi clearly the better player.
Taurasi and PHX are better
