Togo is a truly underrated country! I have to put it on my travel bucket list. Its streets are way better than NYC with potholes galore! It also reminds me of 🇹🇹 Trinidad and Tobago, weather wise.

I like the architecture. It has a real sense of place! A sense that one has set foot on the AFRICAN continent, in West Africa, and not a copycat of some Western city.

Very nice shoot i loved to watch. Lomé is underrated for sure and in many ways it doesn't look like an african french speaking capital. It rather looks like an english speaking capital of west Africa. There maybe a relationship with the country's recent membership of the Commonwealth.

Been to Lomé for work. Beautiful and one of the cleanest place I've visited. But plagued with trafic jam (and I'm from Paris so you know) and, more importantly, for 3 days it was just impossible to pay anywhere. Cards were not working and atms were out of cash...even at the central bank ! We left the country without being able to pay even for our hotel and had the embassy cover for us. So beautiful but still some improvement to go.
When trees are disappearing in the streets of my Accra they are so common in the streets of Lome! The preponderance of green vegetation in a relatively dry city like Lome is a sign that the Togolese value the usefulness of trees in human health and are purposefully planting and taking very good care of them.

Cost of Living is same with Cotonou. While housing is cheaper in Lome, food is cheaper in cotonou. Business wise there may be more competition in Lome than Cotonou while the market in Lome is more centered. So both countries are a great choice. Though Togo has already seen it's fair share of inflation While inflation in Cotonou seems to be in coming depending on development in Nigeria with petrol prices expected to jump up.
Please don't let this promotional video of Lomé fool you. Yes, we are seeing some nice and clean places but there are lots of areas that will shock you. The poverty maintained by a corrupted clan and government level is abysmal
