Happens pretty frequently. One of the companies helped, the other didn’t. Which is common.
Dustin, great video it be weird to have multiple tow Companies for one wreak if one company has the Wreakers to work the wreak like one rollback can tow two vehicles and it save time sending multiple drivers, I would think Campbell provides oil dry for the drivers, are the other two drivers going to help you clean up the fluids from the vehicles or did they leave that's not right if three companies are part of the wreak then all the drivers show take part in clean up
I tend to agree with that in a way but the way it works it won’t happen that way as far as I know. We are on a rotation list and each wrecker service on that list gets the next call/vehicle in line. I guess they do that to be fair maybe not really sure. I do like the deal that if we can send out a wrecker and a rollback and get ‘em all let’s do it but the next wrecker service in line probably wouldn’t like that

Once you mentioned it I like the chest view better. To me it is less whipy/snappy. But if you wouldn't have mentioned it I wouldn't have noticed. I like your videos, do what is best for your on site work.

I was about to say the exact same thing, you don’t leave the scene until all is cleared up. DPS will call another tow company and make you off load and give it to the other company or you lose your next rotation. The new camera worked great.
This may sound petty but crack in your windscreen needs attention. Not a good company look. Just saying. Also the new chest level is great. Less swinging around. Thanks Dustin

Great job. I hate when other companies don't help clean up. I had to go on a 2 car accident the other night and once I got there the other company had their car loaded and left. I had to clean up all the mess from their car. Glass was everywhere. I would atleast help and maybe sweep their stuff in a pile.
Not the first time I’ve had to deal with that. Lube N Tune helped some, the the other didn’t this time, or in the past either.
Love the way you talk us through the recovery. I admire how calm you are about doing the work. Had my major first recovery/rotation and anxiety was through the roof. Made it through still learning the recovery aspects but all good. Thanks for your vids it helps when I use your technique

That camera position works fine. Just like the other one. both are good. You just make me want to go back to driving a Tow Truck again. Somewhere other than Atlanta this time. The calls rarely slowed down enough to keep the Truck as clean as I liked. Ohhh just remind me the best part of the job is being at the car wash at 2, 3 or 4 in the morning getting half of the truck washed when a Motor club call came in for a lockout. But hey. Facts are Facts right 98% of the time the call reminded me how important the job is when Your arrive to the Lockout or a tire and it's a Nurse or a Teacher ect going to work to perform their Important roll in society right? Keep up the good Work Dustin. I reckon I'll keep workin on these airplanes and racecars and watch a few more videos to see if that makes the PTO go off in my head to start hookin again.
I love what I do, just for that very reason. We stay pretty busy, and even on those days that seem to never end, once you get out there, I’m reminded that I’m there to help someone in need, and that’s my favorite part.
If you like cars, you’ll enjoy my next video (Sunday). I’m off this weekend, working on my race car, hoping the weather clears and lets me get a few passes on it.

New video camera location seems fine. I have often wondered if moving the truck with the leading wheels on board to help align the following tires would be easier but I'm sure every screen is different. Thanks Dustin.
I do that a lot to get everything to line up better. Works well on dually trucks or stuff that’s got jammed steering that’s wanting to walk out on on you.

Or did you take it back to the company yard because I heard her talking about bringing it back to her yard. Just curious like your videos, keep them up, stay safe.

don't know what type of oil dry your useing bud but that looks more like sawdust then a oil dry but sawdust can be burnt in a woodstove tho.
I do a very good job keeping them trapped down so that they want come off because I have seen them come off a flat bed
I like the chest cam better than head cam. Head cam makes a person dizzy watching.
do you not get any serious accident calls? I have seen a few decent calls, but i haven’t seen anything “major” from this channel if you know what i mean.
We get some bad ones. This time of year is slower. I have a few bad ones from back during summer. Unfortunately a lot of the really bad ones lately have been fatalities, and I don’t record or post those.

I have a rear facing mount on the bed, it’s just hard to find the time to operate the camera up there when I’m trying to clear a road. I plan to start using that angle more, especially on roadside type calls

Nice of those other two tow truck drivers to stick around and help with the cleanup. Chest camera is good and probably more comfortable, but both are good.
I like both for different reasons. I think the body cam will allow me to diversify the types of tows I can post.

Hey dude, I had to laugh at the driver of the wheel lift. I wore shorts at times when I towed in Georgia. Never sandals, always boots or hiking boots. Once again, made me laugh. 😂
We have a wheel lift op that runs shorts and sandals all the time. I gotta be in boots myself. I want my feet protected. lol
@Towtruck_Dustin The company I worked for in Georgia didn't have any dress code or requirements. I wore the company shirt, like yours. I didn't like the pants. I always wanted my feet protected also. I wore light weight pants and shorts, so I was comfortable and could move faster. I never hurt my legs. I had some high vis shirts when I was previously an electrician. I keep one in my truck. If I was on a call in a really bad situation, I would put it on, also bought some hi vis gloves. Some drivers at the shop gave me some crap for wearing them. I called it, you can see me now please don't run me over. Atlanta drivers are absolutely crazy! I also knew God had my back! Slow down and move over, nobody does that. Stay safe brother! 🙏

@Towtruck_Dustin Look up AGT in Georgia. It was a big company, we ran Hinos. I loved that truck. I still talk with some of the guys I worked with, we were brothers in the trade/business. We don't work there anymore, most have different jobs now. For me, I miss towing. If the doctors can fix my eyes, problems might get back in the business.

Next time, if you back up like you did, but line the back wheel up with the edge of the bed, and hook the snatch block to the corner of the bed, it will line it straight up with the bed so you do not have to reposition the truck.
A lot easier to pull forward a few feet. Then I won’t have to go back and fix a bird nested cable.

Both types of camera angles are good. You chose which one to use. If someone commented about motion sickness, I just don't understand. I have problems with it eyesight, but not watching a video and getting motion sickness. Strange comment they made 🤔
It was fairly common to have people mention motion sickness.
My wife doesn’t like the head cam view cause it makes here dizzy. It’s more common than ya think.

@@scott_3800 a lot of people get dizzy when it’s on a head mount cause of the movement. Sometimes different angles work better. It’s trial and error when it comes to recording. I like the head mount cause you get that operator view. I like to see everything that’s happening

Good work out there brother. But i gotta tell you man from one tow truck driver to another i couldn't using those tire staps that only proive 1 point of tie down to the vehicle.. that takes way to long imo. I use the omes with the bone and i am literally on scene for half the time you are. Typically throw a chain on the rear and throw 1 or 2 staps on because it provides 2 points of contact on the bed not just 1
Really and truly those “8 point” straps only provide 1 point each. Cut one end and that whole strap is compromised, and they’re only faster if you don’t have to roll them out all the time. I don’t leave stuff on the deck, because it gets in the way of loading if you’re sliding stuff around or have something sharp dragging on the deck. I only throw 8 points on high end vehicle or aftermarket wheels.
You are the star hook into the frame do you want to have that problem with your chains falling off can I see you tried something new swing in the bed around you almost not a rookie anymore😅😅😅 you impress me this time keep it up
I’ve been doing that for years lol the isn’t the first video I’ve done any of that.
I don’t like hooking the unibody on these newer cars because they’re rarely rated for anything other than a tie down point.
Dustin, is the chest level camera more comfortable for you? I think the view is fine if it is comfortable for you.
I like that it’s not as awkward to wear and I can see battery level and record time at a glance.
So Lube and tune just skipped the clean up process?
They helped. Angleton auto dipped out tho.
Trying out new ideas is a good thing, it tells you if it is a good idea or a bad idea, the chest mount is nice, it's a little safer but it doesn't show everything like a head mount does, what about incorporating the two together and go that route to see how everyone likes or dislikes the views,
That would take more time than I have. Ultimately my main focus is clearing a roadway and getting everyone clear and safe. The camera is just there to document everything.
