      If Rose really wants to know what it's going to take to make it right, I'll say because she has ruined his life, if not part of it, then she owes him a life, and she can figure that out as she goes. I should probably also mention that if all she and the rest of the family has is for him to forgive them, or cancel their debt, then they don't realize that forgiveness is supposed to be treated like a gift and not an obligation.

    This hits close to home for me. A few years ago a cousin who is only 4 years younger to me lied and said that I touched her when we were both kids, knowing nothing like that ever happened. We used to be so close until I reached my teenage years, then my mom died and I left everything behind in 2013 after I got no support from my family. She made this accusation in 2019. Do I speak to her? Absolutely not. I have nothing to do with her behavior now. She always got what she wanted growing up so why slander my name. Praise God for relocating out of state next year so I won't ever have to see her nor run into her again.

    After what you have done to hurt the person, there’s no way for him or her to forgive you immediately by saying a word “sorry” to heal or cure any damage.

  • @chadbrisco4042
    @chadbrisco4042 Год назад +11

    I do feel for him because something similar happened to me. I was 14 years old and my mother married a man who's nephew I was close with and he was about 11 years old at the time. He said I had raped him and I ended up being tried as an adult. I spent 7 years in lockup and get raped and sexually assaulted with a bunch of 30 year old inmates. I refused to take showers, but the guards forces me to. I was a skinny 100 pound middle schooler and my innocence and future were ruined. I was an honors student who had a bright future in the technology industry and that was all stripped away from me. I didn't get a high school or college education. I was eventually let out and returned home. It took me awhile to forgive him but when I was 26 years old I reconciled with him because I knew he was only a child and that he'd grown up since then but I'm just grateful of the man who he's become. Such a different person and we're the best of friends now. I hope this guy will one day forgive his cousin. I definitely feel for this guy more than most. I know what he's going through.

      @lololol1047 Год назад +7

      Even if he was a child he should have known the severity of his actions at the age of 8 and he had from the age of 11-18 to confess but he didn’t and supposedly let you spend your whole sentence that so unfair 😢 he needs to go to jail fr

    • @chadbrisco4042
      @chadbrisco4042 Год назад +5

      @@lololol1047 The problem is that he did tell them a few years later when he was 15 but the courts run on their own time. When they order something, it takes months, sometimes years for it to go through. I didn't forgive him for the longest time but I just felt like I couldn't hold a grudge for the rest of my life. I know what I went through was all because of him but I also did some stupid things when I was his age. Not as severe as that but you get the point. As much pain as I went through, I just believe in second chances. He texted me apologies over the years repeatedly but I just blocked him. I finally did get over it and I've come to realize that you can change, you're not going to be the same person at 25 that you were at 11 and everyone deserves a second chance. It's just whenever the victim decides to forgive him. Not everyone is going to forgive them as fast as I do or as slow as I do, but when you're ready to forgive them, you'll know it. That's the best advice I can give to someone wondering if they should or should not forgive someone.

    Such a sad video because this actually happens in reality (especially to professional athletes and other celebrities) but Props to Kaleel for keeping his head up and his heart in the right place and willing to help his cousin and Auntie despite the damage that was caused. But here’s how I picture it……
    After 18 years since Kaleel was wrongfully accused and disowned by his family and even when Rose confessed to what truly happened, Roses mom was in desperate need of dialysis treatment. Otherwise she would die. Shelly (despite her and Rose having the same Mother) who moved on to college and from the family must’ve refused to offer help after being wrongly scolded for not protecting her younger sister despite her telling the truth about what really happened between Kaleel and Rose that day. I also feel like Kaleels mother also refused to help despite that being her sister as revenge for wrongfully having her and her son disowned all because of her niece false claims. It’s a high possibility that everybody else in their family turned against them because of her lies. Therefore, Kaleel was the only person she could turn to for help knowing it wasn’t going to be an easy interaction.
    Towards the ending of the video, it is very true that Rose knew that no matter how much she apologizes or betters herself as a person it’s not going to undo the damage she caused and for Kaleel it’s going to take years for him to reconnect with the family (if even at all). Worst part, Kaleels mom probably didn’t know how to approach him and apologize after realizing the truth.
    Just like everyone in the comments is saying There should be a part 2 of this video where it’s show what would’ve happened had they listened to Kaleels side as well instead of jumping to conclusions.

    I'd never forgive someone who lied for 18 years of more. If I was in that position, I will tell them what I wanted to say in honest words:
    "After these years, you told anyone the whole truth but I'm not ready to forgive. You have to earn it and if you got problems of sickness or bills, I will help you but it will take time to forgive. Just because I may be rich and lived that life, that doesn't mean you can pretend the lying to make yourself is great."
    If one of them tried to speak, I would raise my hand for silence.
    "I'm not finished. You all may be my family but family is supposed to trust and love not making lies. If I have family of my own, I will tell them about you but you will earn my trust along with forgiveness. But for now I will help you and see that you are good. Good bye."
    I would say those words to give them more time and sense, knowing the truth will take time and hopefully the lesson will be their life

    Accountability after 18 years of holding that lie while the family believed her, including his own mother? He should always have a third person present whenever she is around. What if his mother passed away prior to her finally telling the truth? It was self-serving because the only reason she finally told the truth was because she needed something from him. Secondly, another non-humbling outfit. So she visits her cousin that she accused of doing something in his office in an inappropriate outfit, then tries to hug him? All kinds of wrong things going on here. Sometimes love can't lead if the pain mean and hurtful people inflicts over very long periods of time. Love leads by loving yourself and removing yourself from toxic people and situations.
    Sometimes, sorry is never enough.
