Wayne has no accountability and the people around him need to tell him the truth. Nothing was ripped away. He was/is not well. Also what song are appropriate for the Super Bowl stage? Not saying he cant be a part but headline? No.
How do you know nothing was ripped away from him?, your an outsider for him to use that word something must have happened. Stop for one moment and think.

Did ya'll see Wayne performance in New Orleans? Ya'll believe it was on the level of a Super Bowl level performance? Did you see the stage? He tainted his legacy by being a bitter jealous Betty.
Nobody treated Wayne badly. Stop that. He disrespected someone else. Not a single person on earth had a bad word to say about Wayne until he started a fight. Quit turning him into a victim. Any disrespect coming his way now was earned by him, by his own words.
Regardless of how someone feels ..you shouldn't go to that persons job causing problems. Which os basically what Drake did to DeRozan. Taunting hom during a game is lame. And the statement Drake made about the banner without being asked anything about DeRozan is lamer.
You're always on point with your analysis, but why skip over Wayne's comments about the Super Bowl? Honestly, he came across as an entitled crybaby, which took away from such a special moment in his city. I can't believe one my goats is acting like this. It's disrespectful to hip hop. Kdot at the SB a win for hip hop, they could've gone with a pop artist instead
Wayne is the Man and deserves all the credit and flowers that's due. But within all respects: 1). The SB wasn't ripped from him cause he was never in the convo...unfortunately. Cause he was in his Prime when Beyonce was performing but she was more worldwide and commercialized... and safe bet. 2). Wayne in this stage of his Life can't host the SB, I believe he can be a guest. I think he should link up with DOT, put the ego aside and literally link up with him so they can make something special
and I love how he said that while also saying that he's the one that turned down working with Drake. Make it make sense. That was one of my biggest issues with the beef: when it came to anything Kendrick said people would totally gloss over inconsistencies because they just wanted to see Drake dunked on. Ain't nothing wrong with wanting to see Drake dunked on. But the way people turned off their brains was WILD imo
@@DrewtheJit*sigh* It makes sense bc when the Control verse dropped Drake said that he wouldn't work with Kendrick anymore and felt that nobody else who was mentioned would work with him either. That's documented on video. Which is why he was surprised he asked for the feature. We get that everyone doesn't know the history, but that doesn't make the line nonsensical or inconsistent.
@JK-wp4nl I was going to say 'thanks for the correction', but then I relistened to the radio clip from 11 years ago. And yeah, on face value you're absolutely right. Drake said that he wasn't in any rush for a Kendrick feature, he's focused on his own music, he doesn't want people rushing to his music for controversy, and doesn't think anyone else that got talked to like that would be in rush to collab either. (I honestly feel like it was a valid and measured response. People act like he went on a radio show and crashed out lmao, they asked him about it and he answered - it was like two and a half minutes.) A few quick things and then I'll stop yapping: 1. Of all the people Kendrick name dropped, how many/which of them took him on tour? 2. Of all the people Kendrick name dropped, how many/which of them collab'd with Kendrick BEFORE the Control verse? 3. Of all the people Kendrick name dropped, how many/which of them collab'd with Kendrick AFTER the Control verse? 4. If after 11 years, you and two peers are at unimaginable & historic heights, would it be odd to then reach across the aisle? Kendrick uses misdirection and he uses it well. By sandwiching Drake's name in between 10 others, you can make Drake look NUTS for responding a certain kinda way. Other people don't get it because it wasn't meant for them to get - it was a textbook subliminal. Kendrick and Drake had a completely different relationship from Kendrick and all the other people Kendrick name dropped in Control. When you look at the context and history between them it's all very obvious. A lot more I can say on that but this is a fxcking YT comment section and none of this is THIS serious 😂😂😂. Ain't no hate here man, just getting passionate about things we enjoy. We might as well be debating Dragon Ball Z lore honestly
My biggest problem with Drake is we know he’s not about that life so why is he out here playing games? At his age, you have to know what can come with this.
What's good Wayno! BG was my favorite out of the group. With that said, the superbowl doesn't owe Wayne anything. Yeah, I agree with you (and Rob Markman's position was similar too) on the Wayne issue--while I don't love the way he said some of the stuff he said, but it's an emotional moment and he's addressing a live crowd trying to keep them hyped up. Focus on the cool stuff about the night, give him and the rest of the crew their flowers, and don't take the Super Bowl comments too seriously. Don't give the issue oxygen and it'll blow over--I'm afraid that everyone nitpicking Wayne on everything surrounding this issue will leave a lasting mark on his relationship with Kendrick and the west coast, even if he's trying to be cool about it. I don't like that people are being overly critical of his comments (that again, I don't love) to the point that it seems like they're trying to amplify or even create tension that doesn't need to be there. Y'all all just need to chill lol--not everything needs to be a story and you can casually dislike something low stakes that someone does without making it into a thing. I get that we were all feeling a way about the backlash to Kendrick's announcement, and I do still think Wayne should have just congratulated Kendrick and dealt with his disappointment off camera. But please let's not turn this into an ongoing saga that we have to keep track of. I feel like we've got our hands full with Drake's antics smh
I have been a Wayne fan since before I spoke a word of english (not my first language) I love him for ever and I think he is def in the GOAT dabate just bars, music wise and longevity but let's be honest super bowl is different and they dont pick the perfomer based on the place the SB is happening... Kendrick is one of the greatest live perfomers ever + had probably the hottest year ever for an individual in this era. I feel like it made sense + its on black history month a month that Kendrick has history with and represents. I do hope Dot brings Wayne out but Wayne is listening to much to Drake and his feelings are not allowing to see things from an unbiased realistic point of view.

@@FiraaMusic you don’t think two things can be true in that he doesn’t care about what fans say or what the media says but he does care about how those close to him acted or those he thought he was “friends”.
Let’s say your hypothesis is true. In that case, why display your discontent in public when you know, fans are going to react to it in a negative manner or positive depending on who they support. We’ve seen more negative than positive. That hurts you as a brains And as a person so why do it?And I know Drake is intelligent.
Wayne been in the game over 25 years so how is it this year the Super Bowl was taking from him but the whole last generation of years wasn't? We gotta stop the cap like something was done to him intentionally to hurt him.
The thing with Drake is that nobody asked him. He just brought em up out of nowhere and was mean mugging him the whole game😂😂
Like the SILLY MAN-CHILD he is.

Unbothered by fans and media:Yes. Unbothered by your actual fans: HELL NAW

Drake talking like Demar won’t beat the dog shit out of him is hilarious, and wayno you can’t go as hard as you do on others fucking up the culture but give Drake a pass, looks a lil suspect

Hurt by what, it was never his in the first place, the entitlements real.
@youngsain3 facts he won't pull up on YG and Future like that...Pun intended
Drake holding grudges like a female is wild
Wayne’s a rap legend and it was great seeing the Hot Boyz reunite.
Super Bowl ripped away from him comment was the lowpoint. He was NEVER offered it! It really tarnishes his legacy and makes him seem out of touch, entitled and lacking professionalism.
His performance wasn’t Super Bowl worthy either unfortunately.
Did you see that Wayne had to use a teleprompter to remember his lyrics, that’s why he didn’t move around much…. Not a Super Bowl style performance by any means!! 💯
@@JayTalkToEm89Can't hold that against him. Most major artists use a teleprompter at their shows. I was at ACL Fest in 2018 when Wayne was there to replace Childish Gambino and he used a teleprompter there. Matter of fact so did Metallica, Paul McCartney and others who were there. There's nothing wrong with it. Especially when you have a ton of songs you can't remember every word.

I'm so tired of this beef. Kendrick ain't really saying anything or making noise about the beef. But Drake won't stop with the weird behaviour. Everyone would have moved on from the beef by now. "Drakeisha" is the only one that is keeping this beef alive with his zesty behaviour. Drake needs to move on, it's giving bitter baby mama / jealous baby daddy energy.
He keeps talking about the Super Bowl being "ripped" from him when it was never his. The entitlement is insane and I like Lil Wayne. He needs to let it go and at this point I hope Kendrick doesn't bring him out. He wasn't acting like this in 2013 when Beyonce performed in NOLA.
I'm from New Orleans and I agree 1000% with this
Kendrick is GOING SOLO ... And that MAN is going to bring the HOUSE DOWN while the degenerates will be seeking attention while in their entitled baby feelings 🤣🤣🤣🤣
EXACTLY. I came here to write exactly this. Now it is disrespectful. Don’t bring him out.
rappers werent performing in 2013
@ rappers weren’t headlining, but they performed. Nelly is a rapper and he performed twice at the Super Bowl in 2001 & 2004. Missy also performed in 2015. We can keep going. Wayne felt entitled, that’s it and that’s all.

Who said they had to be friends? Drake is always in feelings, we completely understand he's upset with Demar. The conversation is about the Drake's little P.R stunt and mean muggin on a night that was honoring Vince Carter.
Not to say Lil Wayne doesn’t deserve to be celebrated but his 2010’s was shakey as far as album. NOT TO KICK HIS BACK IN. And I think us 80’s Babies started to out grow the content of his music. HE STILL A LEGEND we just gotta keep it a Buck.

You're always on point with your analysis, but why skip over Wayne's comments about the Super Bowl? Honestly, he came across as an entitled crybaby, which took away from such a special moment in his city. He's a legend, sure, but he needs to accept that he's not ready to headline the Super Bowl-and his team needs to keep real with him about that too.

5:39 Heres the issue "When the Kendrick announcement came out I really don't like the way people treated Wayne" Wayno it was never about Wayne to begin with it was never his moment and it was never offered to him. Nothing was taken away from Wayne at all especially if it was never presented to him. This was Kendrick moment and instead of congratulations it turned into a "You don't deserve it" moment all because the Superbowl is being taken place in his hometown. Imagine having a huge moment presented to you in your life and for it to turn into a "You never deserved it" moment. I think you have taken way a lot of times to appreciate Wayne but disregarded a moment Kendrick received
Everyone talking about Drake and Demar but nothing about Drake being creepy, weird and making pretty lude remarks about Jessie Reyes….live on broadcast….

I’m 40 from St. Louis and first time I heard cash money was in South Carolina 1998. I was walking to the bus stop first day of 8th grade and I saw a kid with a boombox on his front porch jammin to “Ha” and the kid (whose from NY) and I became best friends.
I can't believe one my goats is acting like this. It's disrespectful to hip hop. Kdot at the SB a win for hip hop, they could've gone with a pop artist instead
Shoutout to you for bringing up Kerry Kittles lol. One of my fave players growing up especially when he was hooping for New Jersey

Doesn't Drake have a Lebron tattoo 🤣 Aubrey don't wanna do that

Awwwww u dontwanna work with me OK 😂😂😂
and I love how he said that while also saying that he's the one that turned down working with Drake.
People act like he went on a radio show and crashed out lmao, they asked him about it and he answered - it was like two and a half minutes.)
A few quick things and then I'll stop yapping:
Great way to start the week, I hope everyone has a productive week.

That Canadian ain’t scaring nobody with them BBL muscles of his 😭
My biggest problem with Drake is we know he’s not about that life so why is he out here playing games? At his age, you have to know what can come with this.
What's good Wayno! BG was my favorite out of the group. With that said, the superbowl doesn't owe Wayne anything. We love Wayne but he is in no way owed anything especially if What Jay-Z did for him is true. A simple "I'm disappointed that I didn't get to perform but congratulations to Kendrick for getting it" and leave it at that. Show some class dog. And Drake, Drake is a bozo
First concert 5th grade my momma took me to Ruff Ryders & Cash Money. When they came out the helicopter shit was crazy.
Yesssirrrrr. Showing support.
Lets go Wayno!!
Wayne is the same guy that "never experienced racism" and also have been rapping about using drugs and fucking women his whole career. As a rapper his content is there but as an Artist Kendrick was the no brainer pick. I do hope Dot brings Wayne out but Wayne is listening to much to Drake and his feelings are not allowing to see things from an unbiased realistic point of view.
Wayno don’t be scurred. If you ain’t gonna keep it real and give 100% honesty on these subjects find another lane bruh. Cam and Mase keep it 100, but they’re in sports. You could be the guy that keeps it 100 in music. Do it, or don’t even talk on these subjects bruh.

I don't buy the Wayne flame down here. He's grieving the failure to achieve something he really had his heart set on and that he clearly placed a large amount of personal significance on. I'm not jazzed about 'ripped away from me' but I understand why he felt that way.
I hope it brought him closure on that, to be validated by his city on every front, including that one. It was for them and him and I think it might be better if we all collectively avert our eyes and let him have his moment. Emotions do not get less difficult because you're famous.
