I rode this as Sidewinder and the vest restraints make a huge difference. I actually enjoy it instead of fearing head banging like I have on other Boomerangs.
I havent ridden this ride since the retheme because the line is always way longer than I'm willing to wait for it and im a season pass holder. I usually rode it in its original form. I remember when this got the newer trains and they made a huge difference in the ride experience.
I will say boomernags are definitely rides that need to warm up especially. I’ve gotten first rides of the day on them and the positive gs don’t hit very hard, but if you ride it at night or very late in the day, they absolutely fly
I operated this ride for the last 4 seasons. It's one of the easiest rides to operate at the park. Only thing I wish is that miner employees could touch buttons because Only 18 plus can operated and dispatch
I had no idea about the different songs for different flavors, and about the scent tunnel! I had wrongly assumed that Sidewinder had just been given a new color palette and left at that. I enjoy roller coasters, but I am admittedly a bit skittish when it comes to loops and inversions. But this video definitely makes me want to work up the nerve to try this coaster on my next Hershey Park visit!
I rode this thing recently during the Christmas candylane event and it was not pleasant. It was rough and uncomfortable, thank god for those vest restraints. This makes sea serpent at Moreys piers the best boomerang I’ve ridden.
These aren't bad rides necessarily. They're just kind of boring and 30 years ago were way too common. Pre-internet, you could have the same ride at 40 different parks and most people had no idea, and there was barely anything resembling the modern enthusiast community. I'm sure a lot of them are rough these days, but they're worth a ride usually. The one at KI is actually super good imho.

Every time I ride this ride when the Green Apple song plays, there’s always a couple people vibing
The loop backwards is awesome!
It's so forceful!
My first grey out moment was on a vekoma boomerang! It was obviously from the backwards loop.
The atmosphere around it is great at night. I like to grab a bite to eat and watch it cycle.

I rode it last year in the evening, it hit 5gs on the backwards loop. I was in the very back row
Interesting, I don't think I've ever ridden one first thing in the morning, so I didn't know that!

I always liked this ride. The retheme made it better though

This one can be a bit intense, if you're not used to the forces try a different looping ride like super dooper looper first

It's not for everyone

Much better than Sidewinder
I didn’t get to experience the flavor smells actually when I rode it
Probably the most commonly broken affect
This ride is terrible.
It's not for everyone!
The Halloween song goes so hard
Looks like it, need to try and make it out there for the overlay
