Night Market of Zhengding, Hebei | 河北正定老城夜市

The county seat of Zhengding in Hebei Province of China is a historically important old town. The ancient Linji Temple in the town centre attracts a large number of Japanese Zen Buddhist pilgrims (Rinzai sect) every year. The night market of Zhengding is a major contributor to the local GDP bringing in consumers from all over the province, especially from nearby Shijiazhuang, capital of the province. Zhengding is also the place where President Xi Jinping's political career took off.
