Troels, I’ve watched many of your 8Dio vids. Just want to encourage you because of some inconsiderate comments I’ve noticed here and there over time. You seem to be such a nice person, and your tutorials are so friendly. Finally, your demo riffs reveal your great musical skills. Thank you, and keep up the good work. And yes, I am a fan of 8Dio who owns a lot of the company’s high quality products.
Thank you Elias - very kind! When your name is "Troels" - "Trolling" hardly affects you. : )))
8dioproductions Haha...I thought the same :)
Always a joy to hear these VSTs played by a good musician.
the best saxophone library i ever had.
Incredible. If the price was more affordable I would definitely purchase, I just can't justify spending more than the cost of my entire daw for a single vst, considering I only need it for one song. From a marketing perspective, you would likely make for money if you charged a more affordable rate such as 50$ because the amount of purchases would skyrocket. Anyways to be positive, you have the greatest sax vst on the market imo great work.
I thought you were talking to me in the intro, until you said "awesome composers"... :(
This video was SPECIFICALLY made for you!
loooool
You make them sing. I like way this plugin give the instruments some individually in articulation when playing as a group. Very humanized.
11:05 - 11:17 is all I needed to hear. Sergio would be proud.
Heartbreaking...
Hey Troels. Big 8dio fan here. Thanks for another great walkthrough! I purchased this library and absolutely love the sound and fluency. Can I make a suggestion for a future update please? The legato is glorious and one of the best I've ever played but it's currently limited to your 'natural' type legato. I own most of your woodwinds which offer several legato types. The addition of a dynamic x fade legato for the sax would be amazing or a legato transition for some of the arcs. This is not a complaint. The library is wonderful but these additions would be the icing on the cake in my humble opinion. keep up the great work sir! All the best. Rolz.
All good and very valid points. We are working on something completely new to get around all these challenges!
Finally! A good saxophone library.
The chords played at min 17:31 with the changing dynamics and expression sound so heartwarmingly beautiful! Just incredible ❤
What chords progression is it? Could you please tell me, I need to know because I just fell in love with it ❤
Thank you for your amazing products 8dio! Greetings from Rome, Italy
Ciao Adriana! To my ears, the first chord at 17:31 is a Dm going to an Am and then jumping to an F followed by a C and a G... Agreed! It is beautiful! Cheers from Argentina! I hope everyone is safe in your beautiful beautiful country!
This is incredible, did you play that guitar live or is it a vst plugin guitar ?
It's a real guitar
must be a real one
Awesome video sir! And these demo projects sounds so great, real music with great skill plus mastering mixing chemistery !
To my ear it sounds great, and I'm tempted. I wonder if you're thinking of sampling alto sax at some point - if they were available too then I think I'd definitely buy.
I love that sound
Aw thanks man!
Which is better the Saxophone trio or fire Saxophone?
Soprano sax library in the making?! I'm waiting eagerly. It's one of my absolute favorite instruments.
Already recorded!
@@8dioproductions Awesome! :)
when i think of a soprano sax i think of kenny g 🤢
At first I was using some cheap headphones and i wasn't impressed with the sound of this library and I said in my mind: "no, 8dio don't do bad quality stuff" then I connected my interface and my true headphones and wow!
Very good work!
I'm looking forward to hearing the "clement belio" demo.
Yeah - this is right up Clements alley! Such a talented guy.
15:17 beautiful phrase there
Nice sounds !!! .... Iam just Gonna get them ggg .... Also the drums Here 8:13 Are incredible , Vst Or real ?
Thx! Drums are coming from our Blackbird kit ... 8dio.com/instrument-category/drums/
I've been looking for a sax vst for my Synthwave/ 80s-style projects for a very long time and it seems you really can't get the complex expression of the instrument without paying big bucks for it. I don't have Kontakt (yet) so the full package is gonna break the bank but listening to this I feel it'll be worth it in the long run. I was wondering though, can you get those high pitched sax screams with this?
Do the sale price now, even if you have to wait to get Kontakt. Black Friday at NI should help. I waited a year and it paid off.
this saxophone library sound incredible feeling like reality it has its musical way, but i feel the sustain is a bit short when i play this library
SOLD I'm buying it !
the sounds are incredible, congratulations ... is it possible to run growl too?
They sound very nice. It just seems odd to have two Tenor saxes instead of one being an Alto. I'm sure this would sell far more if it did.
Sometimes, 2 tenors has a mellowness that isn't completely fit for an alto sax
These are actually pretty good, but definitley for pop style horns, like Chicago.
E' un app acquistabile con collegamento via midi con il piano digitale hamaha?Posso avere il link del programma per l'acquisto?Quanti suoni contiene?Grazie
Hi. hat Drum library did you use in this session ?
Perfect !!! Fantastic !!!
wonderful
I've got another question: is the studio saxophone tenor, that you sell, the same as the first tenor in the trio?
Does this have special setting for wind instruments like Roland AE-05 Aerophone? Like the SWAM plugins?
😭🔥❤️
Uau isbealtifoul souds. congratulations for 8 dio
Hi Troles, how you are getting that portamento at 12:32? Does this library support portamento?
So Good. ❤🔥
apaixonante
Is there any chance to fasten up the reaction of the knobs while moving the mouse? I must move several time the screen to start from 0 to max..
Thank you!
u r my saver
Velocity only affects the legato layers but not the attack of the sample right ? When using a legato patch ?
Any chance of getting chordal legato here like you have in intimate strings?
Let's just say that polyphonic legato in Soundpaint is superior - because we are coding it from ground up - rather then relying on an old scripting system that simply doesn't allow for things.
I love this sound. Yet... the attacks seem relatively subtle overall.
I know not everything can be demoed in one video... so I was wondering if the 'tonguing' (or breath attack) can achieve greater emphasis. Maybe professionals don't have as much 'tongue' sound as I'm imagining (that "thuck" or "tuck" sound I've heard many players do). Maybe there is a way to dial-in more attack (or not)?
Thats why we did such an insane amount of short notes, effects, measured tremolos and a variety of other articulations. But for legato you don't want that percussive attack, but rather that natural swelling emotion you get between notes. One day - hopefully not too long from now - we will be able to do it all in one patch.
Understood! Since my post, I've noted you definitely included the articulations I was speaking of. Good deal!! :)
The saxes sound to me substantially more convincing than those in NI’s Session horns pro (that I use). It’s a shame 8dio didn’t think of creating a more “complete” library with more instruments (trombone, trumpet etc) to release to market a more complete tool
I still can’t find a better sax than audio modeling swam saxophones ...but this s look promising reminds me of embertone sensual sax ...
@Music Fed I'm sure they have thought of that, but making these libraries is a huge amount of work and I think they prefer to release one product after another rather than waiting many years to release a big bundle. He said in the video that a soprano sax library is coming for example.
That said, they do have the Intimate Studio Brass library which includes both trumpets and trombones.
@@pepinillosazucarados6743 I personally think that this one sounds more realistic than the SWAM Saxes which does sound a bit synthetic. But SWAM is more expressive which can lend to a different kind of realism.
Henrik Petersson your right this sounds more realistic but you have to try it yourself
Well... they did. It is called Intimate Studio Brass. If you need an even wider range of brass, there’s Century Brass. Then they even have MORE sampled brass, such as Fire Trumpet which leans more towards latin styles, mariachi etc. So you are in luck ;-)
How do I do what you did with the guitar but with a vst? I have shreddage 3 & amplesound martin. I create loops for a few key producers for placement opportunities. It would blow their minds if I sent them loops that had guitar sounding like that (amazing) & told him "that's not arcade", "no samples used".
I have questions. What sort of guitar model is that? What kind of search phrase could I type in to lead me to more music that would have guitar in that sort of similar feel to it?
Please help me.
sounds great!! what upright bass library do you use in this demo ? sound great
It's Trillian - you can see it in DAW in that video
What is that beautiful guitar sound please???
@YZS Group really? I can't find it nowhere
Long Cao He was joking. It's not a sample pack.
hello friend, I would like to know if the grow joint is included in the sampler?
can you assign keyswitches to they keys you want?
how about the percussion vst ? thx
You talk about the tenor and then mention David Sanborn who only plays Alto. Should've said Michael Brecker or Kirk whalum or some other actual tenor player.
You are absolutely right in regards to instruments. The comment was more aimed at the type of phrasing - than the specific choice of instrument. Thanks for clarifying.
what drums did you use here?
Hello. Piano is VST ?, NI Contact Banks?
The piano in this video is our 1985 Passionate Piano made for Kontakt.

What is guitar library ?
which drum vst are those?
F for candle time
what is the name of those guitars ??
The guitar that you are hearing at 8:03 is a recorded guitar.
awesome technology...right now session players have no more jobs....
Are you Scandinavian dude?! It is not Jass, It`s Jazz.:-))

@@8dioproductions love it
swing and a miss
I have to say this review has put me OFF buying this product. Then again, at least he is honest. Talking about "sleazy" sax like it is a bad thing. Sorry, but I find Kenny D and David Sanborne boring as heck. I am looking for more Coltrane. or "worse". I would have bought Tenor 2 on it own.
This is soulful sampling and we understand if this swiss army knife of deep-sampled emotional saxophone is not for you. Thanks for your honesty and hope you are finding what you are looking for.
@@8dioproductions FYI I did buy yours on sale. But to answer your comment, I got what I was looking for with the HaveAudio Sax Fury and Sonixinema Exploration libraries.
not a big fan of this sax
Well these saxes
too much talking USELESS
